Goldbach markets video platform dailymotion exclusively in the DACH market

dailymotion strengthens its DACH marketing with Goldbach as exclusive partner. Founded in France in 2005, dailymotion is now the second largest video platform in Europe and the USA with over 250 million unique users per month.

In addition to editorial security and premium content, advertisers on dailymotion benefit from above-average user dwell times and creative as well as high-quality instream videos. The video content can be accessed via dailymotion.com, an app, game consoles and the Smart TV, and is available on more than 35 country sites and a video player. The platform offers a variety of advertising options across devices with global and local content for an optimized user ad experience: with click-to-play, the platform relies on user interaction and video engagement. VPAID-enabled video player technology enables advertisers to use their own campaign measurement tools. Integral Ad Science is integrated directly into the video player and scans 100% of ad inventory. This ensures very high standards in the area of fraud protection and brand safety.

High reach across DACH

"We are delighted to be the exclusive marketer of dailymotion and to be able to offer our advertisers a high reach across DACH. The high performance figures such as the average 80% viewability and a completion rate above 75% speak for themselves. For this reason, advertising campaigns on dailymotion are among the top performers in the Goldbach network," says Michi Baum, Director DACH, about the attractive addition to Goldbach's DACH portfolio.

dailymotion's more than 200 prominent media partners include Universal Pictures, Burda, Gruner+Jahr, CNN, Le Monde, Disney, Vice, The Guardian, CBS, The New Yorker and Red Bulletin, to name just a few. With an average dwell time of 3:45 minutes per page, dailymotion has very high user activity in Europe.

Unique: Forget the WEF with Kuoni

Actuality-related motifs and regional adaptations also play an important role in the new campaign for Kuoni.

Actuality-related motifs and regional adaptations also play an important role in the new campaign for Kuoni.

A current example from the kitchen of the creative agency Unikat took up the theme of the WEF and was placed during or at the end of the World Economic Forum in stress-ridden Davos and on social media. It shows in a humorous way how declinable the new brand campaign for the popular tour operator is.

Contexta stages SBB as a mobility service provider

A new campaign by the Bern-based agency aims to show that SBB has a lot to offer even off the rails.

SBB is positioning itself as a mobility service provider that gets people further away from the rails. From car sharing and the P+Rail ticket app to renting electric scooters, SBB makes door-to-door travel easy. However, many Swiss people are not yet aware of these modern combined mobility services. To change this, the Berne-based communications agency Contexta and SBB have jointly developed a new campaign.

In just a few seconds, the campaign aims to convey the entire range of combined mobility services and their benefits in an entertaining way. Film lovers will recognize in it the touch of Snatch or the Famous last words. "Cleverly done!" thinks Reto Meissner, Head of Marketing Communications at SBB. "The campaign shows that we want to offer our customers mobility solutions beyond rail together with our partners."

Book tip: "Revolution? Yes, Please!"

In their book, Andreas Buhr and Florian Feltes argue that social leadership points the way to the digital future.

Andreas Buhr and Florian Feltes are by no means always of the same opinion. They belong to different generations and have different views on digitization and its consequences. But they are united in the central concern of their debate book: They want nothing less than to start a revolution. And it starts in the minds of the executives: social leadership is the leadership style that points the way to the digital future for them.

Cleverly and knowledgeably, they break down what digitization does to people and what this means for the world of work. In-depth interviews with executives show what social leadership can look like in practice. Contentious discussions document the different perspectives of baby boomers and Generation Y. Concrete tips help revolutionize your own company. An exciting, challenging digitization book for everyone who believes or suspects that "business as usual" is not an option.

Foundry brings in Walter Tagliaferri

At the start of the year, the Foundry agency is expanding its team: Walter Tagliaferri, an experienced marketing consultant and strategist, is joining the company.

The new Managing Director can already look back on a career spanning more than 20 years. Most recently, he was Managing Director at Alpha 245 (now Saatchi & Saatchi Zurich), an agency belonging to the Publicis Group. Prior to that, together with Frank Bodin, he led Havas Worldwide Zurich/Euro RSCG Zurich for over eight years as Client Service Director (accounts such as Credit Suisse, Coop and SBB) and held management positions at Weber, Hodel, Schmid and Wirz.

"I am pleased that with Walter we were able to gain someone who is also very familiar with the customer side," says Foundry founder Sacha Moser. As Head of Marketing Communications at Manor, for example, he was responsible for the rebranding of Switzerland's largest department store chain. "Walter is a personality who deals intensively with the new and changing needs of our client partners and quickly confronts complex tasks with inspiring solutions."

Overall, he has a very broad banking, retail and telco expertise. At Foundry, Walter Tagliaferri is primarily responsible for the growth of existing client partners as well as the development and cooperation with new ones at the Zurich location and also in Berlin. Together with the 28-strong team, this is intended to realize a further growth spurt for the agency, which was founded in 2015.

The future will be different when your AI colleague is in the office

Future expert Dietmar Dahmen will be a guest in Zurich on February 19 with his "Bamm! Innovation Show" in Zurich. He will be covering topics such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and other trends.

Futurist Dietmar Dahmen shows his audience the trends that today's entrepreneurs should not miss out on. This is how knowledge transfer works today, namely with lots of action for those without action. For the futurologist, it is only logical that unusual means are also used. Because change is unstoppable.

The only constant is change. In his "Bamm! Innovation Show" on February 19 at the Samsung Hall in Zurich, Dahmen looks to the future. He links the present with new options. Using often simple examples, he explains in an eloquent and visually powerful way how entrepreneurs can benefit directly from the trends. "I want to open up horizons, create awareness and highlight opportunities that are currently available. Then there's the emotional packaging, which is sometimes spectacular," smiles Dietmar Dahmen.

Dahmen

For Dahmen, artificial intelligence, blockchain and data-based business strategies are the big game changers of our time. "A clear misconception is that blockchain has nothing to do with marketing or customer relations," says Dahmen. However, blockchain is as radical a change as the internet was back then. "It's as if you asked around 1998 whether the internet could ever change an industry." For Dahmen, artificial intelligence (AI) is also a topic that no one will soon be able to avoid. "AI will become the operating system of everything. When everything is networked and the internet acts as a body, AI will be the brain that controls this body." Those who don't participate will be mute, deaf and on the sidelines.

The four-hour "Bamm! Innovation Show" begins on February 19 (doors open at 1 p.m., program starts at 2 p.m.) in the Samsung Hall Zurich. Information at www.marketingbamm.com.

Chatbots, artificial intelligence and customer journey

The latest study by Vanson Bourne and Bold360 analyzes how new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbots can help achieve better results.

It's no secret that customer experience (CX) is now an issue even at the highest levels of management. And for good reason. 82 percent of customers will not buy from a company again after a bad experience. This is shown by the Ovum study "Offer your customers the cross-channel support they want" from August 2016. Why do customers switch so quickly? If they are disappointed by one provider, the next one is already there to take their place. Companies must therefore always do their best to avoid losing customers. This applies more than ever these days - and is no easy task.

Chatbots, KI und Customer Journey

The influence of AI

New technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) not only help companies to optimize their internal processes, but also to improve their customer service.

The influence of AI throughout the entire customer journey is already making itself felt: Companies are accessible 24/7 and can serve customers faster, more personalized and at the same time on a larger scale. As this type of customer experience becomes the norm, companies that fail to keep up will soon find their customer base shrinking - which could threaten their very existence.

Unity of chatbots and advisors

The latest study by Vanson Bourne and Bold360 sheds light on the status quo of the customer experience, compares the perception and reality of customers versus companies and shows how advisors and chatbots can work as a unit. The SDV Swiss Dialog Marketing Association has published a study report as a PDF download available.

More brand presence with new storytelling format

In the summer of 2018, Commercial Publishing Tamedia launched a new storytelling format designed to optimize brand visibility. The results far exceeded expectations.

Commercial Publishing is responsible for the conception and production of paid content on all Tamedia titles. This year, the new online product Longform was added to the proven cross-media formats such as native ads, paid posts and promotions.

The difference to the already established formats is the focus on storytelling and design. When implementing a longform, the individual needs and wishes of customers are taken into account and optimally implemented. A completely new world is created for each customer, which also offers the reader great added value.

Commercial Publishing was able to win the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo Switzerland as its first customer. "With the launch of the Giulia model in 2016 and the first SUV of the Stelvio brand in 2017, a new era in the history of Alfa Romeo has begun. Both vehicles symbolize the dynamism and new drive of the brand. This power was optimally conveyed using the new storytelling format with themes such as the history, the technical achievements and the unmistakable attitude to life that the Alfa Romeo brand stands for," says Mattia Lovallo, Brand Communication Manager at Alfa Romeo.

Interlinked measures were planned to transport the reader into the emotional world of Alfa Romeo. The package included three national longforms on 20 minutes including social media integration to generate maximum reach. The first implementation focused on the brand's sporting DNA, from the creation of the Quadrifoglio symbol to its return to Formula 1, while a CTA in the form of a test drive contest led to direct contacts for Alfa Romeo. An exclusive video interview with chief designer Karl Busse at the Geneva Motor Show rounded off the presentation.

AlfaRomeo

At the second Longform, industrial designer Björn Ischi answered questions about the design of the two new models in an interview. A video of the test drive from the competition call of the first longform was integrated. The call-to-action for this implementation was the button for registering test drives with Alfa Romeo.

The finale was the third implementation. Here the focus was on the Alfa Romeo event "Passione Alfa Romeo". A fun interactive sound button staged the new models in a way that could be experienced sensually and gave the fans goose bumps. Finally, Sébastien Perrais, CEO of FCA Switzerland SA, also spoke about the characteristics of a true Alfista. All three stories were prominently published on the 20 Minuten front and accompanied by retargeting measures to further bind interested users to the brand.

These combined measures led to an extraordinarily high performance, which in some cases even outshone top editorial stories. The average dwell time of over 2:30 minutes on the stories proves that the readership is definitely open to brand storytelling if it is produced in a high-quality manner and offers the reader effective added value. Furthermore, the various stories also generated a high number of responses to the interactive elements.

No animal wants to be tortured: Ruf Lanz lays for animal in the right after

Unconventional ideas are also needed in animal welfare when it comes to raising public awareness about animal cruelty. That’s why Tier im Recht (TIR) is once again relying on Ruf Lanz’s creativity for its latest campaign.

Four sensational subjects are used to draw attention to a serious issue: cruelty to animals in Switzerland. In this country too, countless animals live in unlawful conditions and many animal welfare offenses are not investigated and punished appropriately or at all.

Awareness of these abuses must be constantly raised among the public and the authorities. The message of the latest TIR campaign is therefore: No animal wants to be tortured.

This message was implemented in a visually striking way by symbolically putting animals in BDSM outfits. Because unlike humans, animals never have the opportunity to give their consent to a torturous act. They are at our mercy and cannot stand up for themselves. This makes animal-friendly laws and their consistent enforcement all the more important - as well as a population that does not look the other way when it comes to cruelty to animals, but takes a firm stand against it.

This is the fourth campaign that Ruf Lanz has created for TIR. According to Gieri Bolliger, Managing Director of TIR, previous campaigns such as "Some animals are treated like garbage" have already "caused a great stir and triggered valuable debates about animal welfare - both online and offline." The campaigns have also won numerous awards, including gold from the Art Directors Club Switzerland and twice the Poster of the Year.

For the realization of the new campaign, Ruf Lanz was once again able to win over the Carioca Studio in Bucharest via Visualeyes International, which is a world leader in the field of CGI (Computer Generated Images). In close cooperation with Ruf Lanz, all images were created entirely on the computer - of course, not a hair of any animal was harmed.

The new TIR campaign can currently be seen on advertisements, posters, postcards and in various online applications on social networks.

Equality: ban on sexist advertising has good chances in the canton of Vaud

Sexist advertising in public spaces could soon be banned in the canton of Vaud. The preliminary committee of the Grand Council has unanimously approved an amendment to the law proposed by the cantonal government.

The current advertising law in the canton of Vaud prohibits the advertising of tobacco and alcohol in public spaces. Now the advertising ban is to be extended to include sexist content (Werbewoche.ch reported). The issuing of bans is a matter for the municipalities.

The Commission is of the opinion that the solution proposed by the State Council is balanced. It leaves the municipalities the freedom to decide and offers an effective instrument to combat sexist posters, it announced on Friday. The bill will be discussed by the Grand Council in the coming months.

Vaud would not be alone in introducing such a ban. Basel-Stadt was the first canton to introduce a ban on sexist advertising in public spaces. (SDA)

A touch of Paris in the middle of Zurich: FCB Zurich launches guerrilla campaign for TGV Lyria

Under the motto "Paris is closer than you think", FCB Zurich launched a guerrilla campaign for TGV Lyria in the middle of Zurich's public transportation system.

Many commuters were amazed when three dancers performed a dance routine straight out of the Parisian variety show Moulin Rouge. And they did so in the middle of the streetcar, which has been branded TGV Lyria for some time now.

With this guerrilla campaign, TGV Lyria wants to point out that Paris is closer than you think. After all, it only takes four hours to get from Zurich to the heart of the city of love.
