Studio Schoch for Schuler St. Jakobs Winery: 325 years, eleven generations, one wine

The Schuler St. Jakobs Winery is celebrating its 325th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a cuvée was created that combines the finest grape varieties from Italy’s best regions. Studio Schoch was commissioned to develop a unique and exclusive brand for this wine.

Scolaris_01

The brand design is reminiscent of the founding year 1694, the Baroque era. Inspired by the Baroque stucco marble and the rich use of gold leaf at the time, the wine was opulently presented.

The brand bears the name "Scolaris", the Latin origin of the name Schuler, and was supplemented with the promise "La Storia di Scolaris dal 1694".

The lettering was developed from a sans serif Antiqua and gold-foiled with a prismatic embossing. This creates the impression that the lettering has been chiseled into the marble. The fine baroque emblem in the background was emphasized by the interplay of gloss varnish and embossing.

Each bottle is individually wrapped in tissue paper finished with a delicate gloss varnish and packed in a high-quality wooden box. This makes unpacking an experience in itself. Scolaris is available in limited editions of 75cl and 150cl in the exclusive wooden box.

Bandara launches the sportiest campaign in Switzerland

With innovative technologies, Davos Klosters and Bandara are getting all of Switzerland moving.

DavosKlosters_SportsUnlimited_Games

The destination Davos Klosters has been positioning itself with the claim "Sports Unlimited" since spring 2018. To communicate the new positioning, Bandara has developed a campaign that makes the winter sports offer of Davos Klosters tangible - and shows that in Davos Klosters you can not only move on snow and ice, but also on the dance floor.

At the start of the ski season, the Facebook AR game "Face Slalom" was launched, in which you control a skier by moving your head to the left and right. In the run-up to the FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup race Davos Nordic, Olympic champion Dario Cologna challenged passers-by in downtown Zurich to warm up, with the participants' movements being tracked and evaluated using a 3D sensor. Just in time for the Spengler Cup, a virtual reality game followed, in which participants had to play as an ice hockey goalie and catch the pucks of HC Davos striker Inti Pestoni. A video was produced for each of the games and distributed via social media.

The highlight: All three games were programmed to trigger rhythmic movements in the players. The song "Ufa und aba" was produced to match this rhythm - and the movements were combined to create a dance. The music video for "Ufa und aba" is currently being shared and commented on diligently on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. And the song is setting the mood in après-ski venues and can be streamed or downloaded on popular music platforms. On the landing page Davos.ch/ufaundaba interested parties will find further information on the campaign and the winter sports on offer in Davos Klosters.

Responsible at Destination Davos Klosters: Roger Manser (Head of Marketing & Sales). Responsible at Bandara: Daniel Gremli, Daniel Gonçalves, Urs Langenegger (overall responsibility, creation, consulting, development), Felix Tanner/Frame Engine (direction), Thomas Rechberger (music/sound), Timo Schaub, Tobias Wüthrich, Oliver Wigger (camera), André Brauen (sound), Senso Stampa (lighting), Musclebeaver (postproduction music video), Stephanie Stutz (3D design), Metin Senler/Senlermedia (media), eyecatcher (development Colognamat), Fabio Müller/HolzMassiv (construction Colognamat), Bella Farny (choreography).

First campaign after pitch win: Ogilvy goes full speed ahead for Salt

After winning the communications contract, Ogilvy is already launching its first campaign for Salt. The campaign focuses on Salt Fiber, which, at 10 Gbit/s, is the fastest internet service in Switzerland.

190221_Salt_Fiber_Plakat_F12_470x224_DFI

The offer also includes digital TV including Apple TV and unlimited landline telephony in Switzerland. Ogilvy is implementing Salt's new communication strategy for the first time in this broad-based campaign, which is intended to bring the original, unmistakable spirit of the telecommunications company back to the fore.

Slightly exaggerated visuals showcase the individual benefits of the offer - faster, cheaper, more exciting - on posters, advertisements, mailings, sales flyers and radio spots. The striking appearance makes the spirit of the Friendly Rebel as a challenger to the two big players in the telecom business directly tangible for the target group, supported by the new claim: Salt. Your Life.

The updated corporate design, which was also developed by the Zurich agency, is also being used for the campaign.

Alzheimer's shopping list on Migrossack: winking against forgetting

The Alzheimer's Association of the Canton of Zurich draws attention—with a touch of humor—to the daily challenges faced by people with Alzheimer's and dementia. The campaign was created by the Zurich-based communications agency Art.I.Schock.

Tasche_IMG_4381_ank_040319_klein

For the first time, an independent social organization is allowed to design a Migros paper bag. Migros Culture Percentage is making this possible for the Alzheimer's Association of the Canton of Zurich to mark its 25th anniversary. The organization uses this for a shopping list of a somewhat different kind, with "orange things from the earth" and "mouth brooms" on the list.

At the same time, Zürcher Kantonalbank is also offering the Alzheimer's Association of the Canton of Zurich the opportunity to make its concerns and objectives known to a wider public: A cinema slide will also be used to raise awareness of forgetfulness, one of the biggest consequences of Alzheimer's and dementia, in a humorous way.

The bags have been available in all Migros Zurich branches (city and region of Zurich, Lake Zurich, Canton Glarus) since Monday; the cinema slide will be shown for two weeks from March 14 in all art house cinemas in the city of Zurich.

Responsible at Migros Culture Percentage: Markus Dubs, Project Manager; responsible at Zürcher Kantonalbank: Markus Sulzer, Project Manager Sponsoring. New creative power for Wirz: Alain Eicher becomes ECD

Alain Eicher is joining Wirz's creative team effective immediately. The 32-year-old from Basel will serve as Executive Creative Director and a member of the management team.

AlainEicher_full

A creative agency thrives on ideas - and he is widely known for his: Alain Eicher is Wirz's new Executive Creative Director. Previously, the Basel native worked for Jung von Matt/Limmat for over seven years, where he learned copywriting and concepts from scratch and, as Creative Director, was responsible for substantial budgets for clients such as Migros, Emmi and Graubünden Ferien.

For the alpine canton, he helped shape the appearance of the advertising icons Gian and Giachen during this time, among other things. As the author of two children's books, he made it to No. 1 on the bestseller list. Last year, Eicher launched Grillitarier for Migros - a new dietary species that successfully repositioned Migros in the fiercely competitive barbecue summer.

He earned international laurels with the ambient action "The Great Escape" and the PR coup "Photography Ban in Bergün" for Graubünden Ferien, as well as the SoundBook app for Nordsüd Verlag, which sets read-alouds to music with exciting sounds and fairytale-like music.

Work like this has earned him some 150 awards over the past seven years - including D&AD Pencils, Clios, One Show Awards, eight Effies for effective communication, and at least one Lion at Cannes three times in a row.

Livio Dainese, Co-Ceo and Creative Director of Wirz: "Fernando Perez and I hired Alain as an intern at JvM back then. What he has achieved since then in terms of creative work is impressive. His engagement is a real asset to our team and underscores our intention to help our clients with big, viable ideas for the long term."

Alain Eicher is a member of the Art Directors Club Switzerland, D&AD in London and One Show in New York. He lives in Zurich and spends his free time grilling.

Wordplay among the top three Bing partners in Switzerland

Wortspiel recently became an official Bing partner—one of only three agencies in Switzerland.

bing-partner-wortspiel-web-1

Google's biggest competitor in the search engine sector has only a small market share in Switzerland. However, Bing is certainly interesting for companies that want to expand internationally.

For example, Bing's market share in the USA is just under 10 percent. Bing's click prices are also often lower than those of Google. The integration with the LinkedIn career network, which also belongs to Microsoft, makes Bing particularly attractive. This means that advertisers on Bing can access profile data from LinkedIn and play out their ads based on the job title or company, for example. And Bing's development is positive: for 2018, Bing's parent company Microsoft reported a 13 percent increase in advertising revenue to $7 billion.

"We have been playing out our clients' campaigns on Bing for several years," reports Stefan Vetter, founder and CEO of Wortspiel. "Several of our employees have completed the 'Bing Ads Accredited Professional' certification. I'm pleased that this commitment is now also being recognized by Microsoft with Bing Partner- status."
