Heinz has come up with something special for all ketchup lovers as part of its relaunch. Fans can order a Heinz bottle with their own slogan on the label via the new website. And that's not all, the site has everything a sauce lover's heart desires.

The absolute highlight remains the fact that you can give the Heinz classic a cool slogan. "This gets ketchup fans' pulses racing," promises the sauce manufacturer's marketing department. If you don't want to be too creative yourself, there are also some suggestions: The heartbreak bottle with "Grilling me softly", or the must-have for every flatmate: "Hands off my ketchup". In principle, there are no limits to your imagination! If you can't get enough, you can stock up on product information on the site, browse the merchandise store, send e-cards or download screensavers and much more. Of course, you can also become a fan of Heinz on Facebook. Definitely a way to pass the time on cold winter days.

Goldbach Media: Working for Facebook in Eastern Europe

Goldbach Media is entering into a cooperation with Facebook via its subsidiary Arbo Interactive Group in Eastern Europe. The cooperation includes the sale and handling of advertising to agencies and customers in Poland and the Czech Republic.

The main offering for Facebook will particularly include forms of advertising that increase the involvement of Facebook users and go beyond the sale of classic display advertising. For example, Arbo Interactive will sell engagement ads that are placed on the Facebook homepage. These allow users to interact with the advertisement. If someone responds to an engagement ad, a note can appear for that person's friends under the "News" section. By forwarding the information to friends, the campaigns are circulated on Facebook. Swissclick relies on moving images

The online agency Swissclick has expanded its current business areas to include "Motion Pictures". This includes the production and marketing of moving images, videos, interactive in-shopping videos, web TV and streaming.

In the 2009 financial year, Swissclick gained experience in the production and marketing of video solutions, for example in the project for Marionnaud Perfumeries. The in-video shopping solution developed by the agency can be adapted to any web store solution and can also be linked to affiliate programs. According to the advertisers, the advantage of moving images is that emotions are aroused and complex products are explained in an understandable way. This increases the number of visitors to the website and extends the length of stay.

Radio Basel with new co-editorial management

The new local station Radio Basel is expanding its editorial leadership: Sandra Schiess, the current head of the editorial department, will share this leadership role in the future with Benedikt Erni, the former editor-in-chief of Radio Basilisk. Christian Heeb will remain the editorial director.

The new co-management will be introduced around two and a half months after the start of broadcasting, as Radio Basel announced on Tuesday. In the meantime, ex-DRS3 woman Schiess will remain the owner of the company Kommunikationsart, which offers coaching and management consultancy. At Radio Basel, Schiess will be responsible for moderation and coaching, Erni for the daily news. Both will represent each other.

New heads in VR
The Board of Directors will also be expanded by four seats: Ulrike Altig-Wilkesmann, Annette Kespohl, Martin Radtke and Peter Schmid will join the current members Hansjürg Deutsch, Christian Heeb, Karlheinz Kögel, Matthias Lüdin and Franz C. Widmer; Sven Hoffmann remains Chairman of the Board of Directors. The enlargement of the Board of Directors is justified by a request from the Federal Office of Communications to reflect the ownership structure. Radio Basel owner MFE/MCC AG is owned 50 percent each by Heeb and Kögel. Initial listener figures are expected at the end of January.
Radio Basel was launched on the airwaves last October 24 with a 22-strong editorial team and a 5 million euro budget. After being turned down for a license, former Basilisk co-founder Heeb bought Radio Basel 1 from the Basler Zeitung, which goes back to the first local radio station in Basel, Raurach.

Last but not least: How, never heard of Migipedia?

Migipedia? Is this some kind of new offering from Wikipedia? Not quite. This portmanteau of “Migros” and “Wikipedia” is Migros’ latest online initiative. Is the retailer launching a new online encyclopedia?

The whole thing has little to do with an ordinary encyclopaedia, an online reference work like Wikipedia. The only thing they have in common is that the content on both websites is created by users. Migros' new platform is certainly not altruistic. In future, customers will be able to rate all 40,000 of the supermarket chain's products on Migipedia. The orange giant hopes this will help it develop a better feel for customer wishes, as Blick am Abend reports. It remains to be seen whether the site can establish itself as a "reliable shopping guide" or whether visitors can expect mainly product recommendations and euphoric comments from Migros fans. Migros assures us that there will be no censorship. So far, the whole thing is still in a test phase. If everything goes according to plan, the portal will be opened to all customers this year.

Study: Outdoor advertising in the city of Zurich

On Sunday, Stefanie Kägi published her master’s thesis, «Outdoor Advertising Space in the City of Zurich: An Analysis of Stakeholders, Rules, and Power.» The study sheds more light on the state of outdoor advertising in Zurich. According to the study, the public lacks the strategic capacity to take action, billboard companies are not informed about public concerns and needs, and the city’s hands are tied.

Stefanie Kägi interviewed all relevant stakeholders in outdoor advertising - representatives of the poster companies, the city of Zurich and civil society - in order to determine the extent to which the public has a say in the design of public advertising space. Following Otfried Jarren, it emerged that the general public is not an actor and therefore not capable of strategic action, but merely a role holder. It has also been shown that the poster companies are not informed about the concerns of organized civil society and the needs of the public. They also make no effort to engage in dialog - just as civil society makes no effort to engage in dialog with the poster companies.
Even if, according to Stefanie Kägi, the city has more room for maneuver today than in the past, its hands are often tied. Once a poster site on private property has been approved, this approval can no longer be withdrawn. There is no income for the city, as the permit fee is as high as the required expenditure and the city of Zurich cannot charge any fees for the approximately 75 percent of private advertising spaces. Although the new poster concept has come into force, posters that do not meet the new requirements cannot be removed. Newly approved poster sites are not publicly advertised or posted, and the public is not informed of their options for appealing.
