Compresso and Zimmermann Communications deliver campaign for Brack.ch

Brack’s current campaign, «Delivers More Than You Think,» deliberately focuses on the delivery promise. With this approach, Compresso and Zimmermann Communications have created a simple tagline that serves as a credible communication platform.

Brack.ch

As a first step, a campaign was developed on this platform to showcase Brack.ch's wide range of analog and digital products.

With its TV, out-of-home and digital campaign "Supplies more than you think", Brack.ch shows that its product range has long since expanded beyond the "IT & Multimedia" world and now also includes products in the "Household & Living", "Supermarket & Drugstore", "Family & Baby", "DIY & Hobby" and "Sport & Leisure" categories. The poster campaign shows over 100 products in just four subjects: From game consoles and peelers to wine and vibrators. It is strikingly implemented in almost monochrome motifs, above which the signet "Delivers more than you think" is enthroned.

Product range at a glance

Two films also humorously communicate the breadth and diversity of the product range. To support the TV sponsorships, two billboards were produced, each with an intro and outro that echo the tone of the two films. The billboards also show real-life situations, thus building a bridge to the viewer.

The new campaign has been running since Monday and is also being implemented in the social media, on Brack.ch, in the Brack.ch sponsoring environment and various other measures.

Chambre Séparée: Aroma launches pop-up at Hotel Ambassador Zurich

Starting October 8, six culinary teams will launch a new pop-up at the Hotel Ambassador in collaboration with Aroma. The hotel is being used for a temporary purpose between the lockdown and the start of renovation work in the spring of 2021. The idea for the «hotel-restaurant» was implemented within weeks in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines.

Chambre_Séparée_Schriftzug

On each hotel floor, a caterer looks after the six to eight hotel rooms as a "chambre séparée" and entertains the guests. The guests reserve the hotel room and spend the culinary evening in their "own" room. A multi-course, theme-oriented menu is available on each floor.

Aroma Creative designed the visual appearance, digital and spatial. Together with T'nt events and the Hotel Ambassador, Aroma is also the organizer.

Contexta and Appenzeller cheese think it's high time for fondue

For the start of the fondue season, the Bernese agency Contexta stages the "run" on the spicy Appenzeller fondue.

Contexta

If you want to sell, you have to stand out. It's no different with fondue. So it's only logical that the popular Appenzell alpine dairymen are also used for the melted cheese treat.

Contexta now stages the desire for fondue, in eye-catching and funny images: In each case, three Appenzell alpine dairymen can be seen in a hurry.

The campaign started on Monday nationally in analog and digital posters as well as on social media, in Ticino additionally with advertisements.

Wunderman Thompson rides through the UPC Giganetz

UPC continues to build brand awareness for the UPC Giganetz. To that end, Wunderman Thompson’s new campaign invites viewers on a wild ride with the UPC Giganetz. The new campaign showcases the benefits of UPC’s internet and TV products with plenty of speed and action.

Wunderman Thompson

The core message of all advertising materials: The UPC Giganetwork is as fast, reliable and ubiquitous as its consumers. These three attributes are dramatized in respective key visuals: two kids whizzing down the hall with a VR headset, family friends sharing a great sports moment, and a teen clique recording a TikTok video in the backyard.

High-speed ride on the UPC Beam

In the TV spot, viewers follow the UPC Beam on a fast-paced ride through the scenes - as if they were riding it. A speed drone was used to link the entire film into an exciting one-take.

Concept and realization were created in the collision model of Wunderman Thompson: in close cooperation and constant exchange between creation, strategy, consulting, director Reto Salimbeni and the client.

With the protagonists in full motion, colorful tones and the fast beam, the photo subjects also capture the action-packed spirit for print and posters.

Wunderman Thompson

The campaign runs on TV, radio, DOOH screens, walking boards, print and the web. The communication builds on awareness for the UPC Giganetwork and goes deeper into the benefits and offers in the various channels to further build trust. The media planning came from OMD and the web development of the concept as well as the online media planning from Webrepublic.

SVP files criminal charges for advertising on limitation initiative

The Swiss People's Party (SVP) filed a criminal complaint against unknown persons with the Bern cantonal police on Thursday. The reason was a mailing of personally addressed "advertising for the limitation initiative", the party said.

SVP

In the past few days, numerous people in Switzerland had received this mailing. The contents of the envelope were exclusively a sheet of paper with the logo of the Yes campaign for the limitation initiative. The letter had been dispatched by the German post office. The personally addressed letter was also addressed to people who had been deceased for years.

The SVP Switzerland and the campaign management of the limitation initiative dissociated themselves "in all form from this letter," the party wrote. The SVP Switzerland assumes that it is "an action by political opponents with the intention of damaging the limitation initiative. (SDA)

Ryan Reynolds shows Hugh Jackman from his worst side

Laughing Man co-founder Hugh Jackman stars in the coffee brand's latest commercial, with his fellow actor Ryan Reynolds narrating in a voice-over about what a great guy he is.

 Hugh Jackman

However, the narration and the content of the 60-second spot don't quite fit together: Hugh Jackman is shown as a grumpy, child-screaming, dog-insulting and metal-listening bully. At the end, however, the explanation follows: Only with a cup of Laughing Man coffee does he become the charming and socially committed actor that everyone knows.

Jackman founded Laughing Man Coffee & Foundation in 2011 with various partners. The foundation supports coffee farmers and - if Ryan Reynolds is to be believed - makes a damn good coffee.

Wirz serves Bündnerfleisch from outer space

The Bündnerfleisch that Wirz sent into space for the Graubünden brand is back on earth. The result of the culinary experiment "Mission High Dry": the taste is saltier and more intense.

Bündnerfleisch

Four Bündnerfleisch producers conduct a culinary experiment: does Bündnerfleisch taste even better if it is dried at a higher altitude than in the Grisons mountains? Now we know: Stratosphere Bündnerfleisch tastes more intense and saltier than the original. With over 41 million earned reach and more than 7,000 interactions within three weeks, pictures of Bündnerfleisch and information about the elaborate production process reached far more people than expected.

On Sunday, a helium balloon with Bündnerfleisch on board was released in Parpan GR to cheers, the sound of alphorns and the waving of flags. Two hours later, the "Mocka One" reached its highest point in the stratosphere, 38,000 meters above Graubünden.

Wirz

From the stratosphere straight to your plate

The Bündnerfleisch is recovered by mountaineers on the Kistenpass, around 40 kilometers from Parpan as the crow flies. After recovery, the meat is tasted by the Mission Crew - the four Bündnerfleisch producers Jörg Brügger, Fredy Gurtner, Ludwig Hatecke and Anselm Sialm. Their verdict: the meat is a lot darker, drier and saltier than the original, but definitely edible.

Bündnerfleisch also on German television

Fabio Nay from Graubünden hosted the live stream, via which around 10,000 people followed the stratospheric journey. While 20 Minuten showed the 50-minute live stream on its platform, media representatives from RTL Aktuell and Blick TV were on site to report live on the events in Parpan.

The announcement in a launch video based on a space mission already generated media interest. National and regional media devoted various articles to the mission. In France, the crew and their experiment were also featured in a detailed report on BFM TV. In total, articles, TV reports, social media posts and radio interviews achieved over 41 million unpaid reach and 7,000 interactions within three weeks.

Wirz

A stage for even more content

"Our Bündnerfleisch has been a talking point - mission accomplished. But not only that, we were also able to show the patience and passion of Bündnerfleisch producers for their daily craft," says Gieri Spescha, Managing Director of the Graubünden brand.

The mission primarily served as a stage for the culinary specialty. The accompanying content about the elaborate production process and the food images with recipes and serving tips were presented to a large audience.

The High Dry mission was carried out on behalf of the Bündner Fleischfabrikanten association and the Graubünden brand. A recap video of the entire campaign will follow at the end of September.

We can make a big difference if everyone contributes something. This is especially true when it comes to dealing with climate change. To this end, AEE SUISSE is launching the "MyPromise" campaign as part of Mission Zéro. With MyPromise, everyone can make a promise for the climate. As many pledges as possible will be collected until the first National Climate Day takes place in 250 days on 27 May 2021 on the Bundesplatz in Bern, the HB in Zurich and other locations in Switzerland. True to the motto: Together we will bring the world into balance.

Climate change can be felt everywhere: on the mountain top, on the lakeshore or on the Bundesplatz in Bern - that's why the MyPromise lettering is staged and visually captured at various locations in Switzerland. The launch video gives a first impression of this.

Until the National Climate Day, not only personal pledges from the Swiss population but also from companies and organizations will be collected. At Mypromise.ch the pledges are made and thus help to make the sources and dimensions of CO2 emissions tangible and to reduce them through simple changes in everyday life. On National Climate Day, we communicate how much CO2 can be saved together if everyone keeps their promise.

Teads and BBC Global News extend exclusive outstream partnership

The global media platform Teads is extending and expanding its partnership with the news platform BBC Global News. The goal is to make the monetization of editorial content through video and display advertising even more effective.

Teads

As part of the cooperation, Teads will offer video ad formats for the BBC Global News sites (desktop, mobile and in-app) in all markets relevant to the medium. These include the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, the Middle East and Europe.

Challenging times despite high news demand

Users' demand for news is particularly high in 2020. This is also reflected in the BBC's reach. This year, the news network was able to increase this by eleven percent (source: Global Audience Measure 2020). Nevertheless, premium news brands have experienced a challenging time in recent months, as the economic impact of Covid-19 has cost publishers millions in lost advertising revenue. With the partnership, Teads now aims to help BBC leverage its growing digital presence and drive content monetization.

The partnership builds on the existing relationship between the two organizations. Teads already provides its platform for the monetization of the publisher's desktop and mobile news sites. As part of the expanded partnership, BBC Global News will now have access to Teads' full portfolio of services. This will enable the publisher's sales teams to Teads for Publishers Enterprise Suite (including Teads Audiences and Teads Studio) and offer advertising formats and spaces directly to advertisers. BBC Global News can also extend the functionality to its mobile apps via the Teads in-app SDK for iOS and Android.

Two young artists design posters for Al Mulinetto

The two young artists Katrin von Niederhäusern and Elena Knecht have designed posters for Al Mulinetto, with which the winery's artistic campaign enters its fourth year.

Al Mulinetto

Under the title "The fine Art of Drinking. Al Mulinetto", the small and fine winery from Gordola, Ticino, has been giving various artists from all over the world the opportunity to create art posters for Al Mulinetto for the past four years (such as here). Al Mulinetto's posters have already received several awards from the Art Directors Club of Switzerland, the German Brand Award or the Swiss Poster Award and have become coveted collector's items.

The new posters for the finely fruity Merlot and the coveted Grappa were designed by the two young Zurich artists Katrin von Niederhäusern and Elena Knecht.

Music piracy: "stream ripping" is booming

The online piracy practice of "stream ripping" increased by 1.39% between 2016 and 2019 in the UK alone. These are the findings of a study conducted by software company Incopro on behalf of PRS for Music.

Piraterie

In stream ripping, pirates make audio recordings of music streams to create their own offline copies.

Mostly permitted in Germany

"By using converters, users make a copy of the piece of music. To do this, they generally need the consent of the author or rights holder, otherwise they are committing a copyright infringement. However, there are exceptions," explains media lawyer Christian Solmecke to the news portal Press release. In Germany, private individuals are allowed to make individual copies for private use as long as the originals were not created illegally. According to Solmecke, stream ripping is therefore usually permitted on YouTube in particular.

Incopro analyzed data from over 17,000 piracy websites for the study, including 100 of the most popular sites for stream ripping. The analysts compared this data with a similar study from 2016. Of the 50 most popular music piracy sites, 80 percent engage in stream ripping. In 2016, this figure was still twelve percent.

Harmful to artists' finances

Piracy through BitTorrent sites is going out of fashion due to geoblocking and stricter regulation by license holders. Only six out of the 50 most popular sources for music pirates are such websites. In 2016, this proportion was still 14. Stream ripping takes place primarily on YouTube. 70 of the 100 most popular sites steal content exclusively from the video platform. The Spotify app is in second place.

According to PRS for Music, stream ripping is very damaging to the financial situation of artists. The coronavirus crisis has made live performances almost impossible. And even before the pandemic, music streams accounted for around 20 percent of revenue. "The popularity of stream ripping has had a severe and direct effect on royalties paid to artists. Every time a stream is recorded, the user is listening to music outside of the licensing ecosystem," warns Simon Bourn, Head of IP and Litigation at PRS for Music. (pte)

Kargo launches emotional awareness campaign for Alzheimer Switzerland

As part of World Alzheimer's Day, which takes place on Monday, Alzheimer Switzerland is once again drawing attention to the many faces of dementia with a moving campaign in three languages. Kargo Kommunikation is responsible for the campaign's implementation.

1860x1860px-kargokomm_alz_herbstkampagne_01

Dementia is a constant challenge for sufferers and their relatives. In Switzerland alone, around 131,000 people live with this diagnosis.

The first step is to raise awareness of this multifaceted disease among the general public in order to actively generate donations in a second wave. These will be used to provide expert advice, respite and leisure activities, memory training and group activities for those affected.

To this end, Alzheimer Switzerland relies on targeted social media advertising with a remarketing approach as well as display and video programmatic ads. A sophisticated physical mailing will also be used to raise awareness of the topic. The campaign will also be shown on public transport in collaboration with APG and Passenger TV.
