"Having goals is important for me as a mountain guide".

Röbi Koller climbs the Eiger over the Mittellegi Ridge together with mountain guide and extreme mountaineer Stephan Siegrist. Image: visualimpact.ch, Thomas UlrichAutumn in the Bernese Oberland, clear blue sky, 7 o'clock in the morning and the thermometer shows below zero degrees. Professional mountaineer Stephan Siegrist is training for his next expedition, and this on what is probably one of the world's most fascinating and at the same time most dangerous mountains - the Eiger North Face. His gaze goes into the distance and he enjoys the unique view of the congress, seminar and vacation destination Interlaken with the region Thun-Thunersee lying at his feet.Apart from the impressive nature, the destination has much more to offer. The convenient location in the heart of Europe as well as a large number of hotels of all categories with more than 3,500 beds make it possible to hold events for up to 1,500 people. In addition, the region impresses with a large number of versatile locations - from historic to modern, there is something for every taste.

A view of the Jungfrau from the garden of the Congress Centre Kursaal Interlaken.Insider tipAnother insider tip is Thun, which is only 25 km away from Interlaken. Thun is located at the lower end of Lake Thun and offers attractive seminar hotels with good infrastructure. There is also no shortage of event locations with larger capacities, for example the Stockhorn Arena - the multifunctional football stadium of FC Thun, the Culture and Congress Center and the Thun Expo.
Stadt-Thun
There are many seminar hotels and event locations in Thun.Strategies and planning - necessary everywhereStephan Siegrist has now reached 3700 meters above sea level. His goal, the mountain peak, is always in his sights and he pursues it with passion and great commitment. But clever strategy and planning are also necessary to exploit the potential. Exactly this can be perfectly transferred to the corporate world: it is necessary to develop and implement visions, to understand the processes in team building and also to realistically assess one's own abilities.Stephan Siegrist packs these messages into an exciting presentation, in which he not only wants to motivate employees, but also gives impulses into the leadership culture of a company based on his experiences. Siegrist never stylizes himself as a hero, but reports with a lot of humor, self-irony and modesty about his borderline trips far away from civilization.
Kursaal-Interlaken-Rondell1
The roundel as the center of the eastern part of the Kursaal, impresses with an atmosphere of earlier eras.Such a presentation, for example, in combination with an event in the oldest and possibly most beautiful congress center in Switzerland - the Congress Centre Kursaal Interlaken, offers a great opportunity for vision, strengthened motivation and fresh ideas. The modern architecture of the auditorium offers the perfect contrast to its historic halls. The total 5'000 m2 event space with a capacity of over 1'500 people is suitable for any type of event. In addition, the compactness of Interlaken allows participants to walk from the hotel to the Congress Centre Kursaal.Motivation kickStarting the new year with the best intentions and new plans - that is also the goal of many companies. With kickoff and motivational meetings, employees are empowered with energy and sales conviction. The famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau triumvirate, which is within easy reach, symbolically provides the perfect backdrop for any type of event in which rock-solid arguments and conviction set in stone are needed.Special offerAs a special offer, the Congress Centre Kursaal Interlaken offers a free lecture by alpinist Stephan Siegrist for all kick-off events that take place in the congress center from January to March. Momentum is thus brought into the event, corporate goals conveyed - and all this in harmony with nature.www.congress-interlaken.ch

1. you could swap your smartphone with someone else's for a day. Would you? And if so, with whom?
Yes, on one of the days when I'm usually offline (singing with my choir or making cheese). With Alexander Graham Bell. To learn what the inventor of the telephone is doing with today's smartphone.

2. what would you work for free?
I already do. Every year in Sri Lanka, for my foundation Help-helps.ch.

3. where and how have you ever bluffed in your life?
A little fibbing is part and parcel of challenging pitches, as long as you can keep your word afterwards.

4. what does not come to the office under any circumstances?
Hot Air Guys. I am so allergic to them that as a preventive measure we even use the platform Hr-pick.com have developed. As a former farmer, I am used to tackling and implementing.

5. was there a moment in your life when you thought: Wow. This is awesome. And it's from me!
Yes, at the birth of our two children.

6. a buzz word that gets on your nerves?
It's not really a buzz word, but B2B or B2C. Because it's all about H2H, human to human.

7. what is impossible for you to do without?
To the smartphone. I'm speculating that Bell won't be able to do anything with mine and will give it back to me.

8. what do you never want to have to hear about yourself?
That I did not "keep my word". I find honesty an important and unfortunately endangered "code of honor" in life.

9. what are you determined to achieve?
That people say, "Wow, that's great. And it's from CS2."

10. which professional colleague would you take with you to a desert island?
The one who manages to make a smartphone out of a few shells and a wire and go online.

11. when you have an idea, how do you know it is good?
When I tell them to someone for the first time and can answer all the critical questions. Many ideas crumble at the first counter-questions.

12. what was the most fun lunch partner?
Boris Becker in Sissach in 1999, when he visited us on the occasion of our newly developed interactive television technology and wanted to invest a few million.

13. what inspired you to enter the communications industry?
Already as a little boy I saved up for my first Atari computer and later for my first cell phone (Natel C). I like to be communicative.
