"The balancing act from l'art pour l'art to RTB is big".

1. where and how have you ever bluffed in your life?
When a trowel waves at you on the way home after an agency aperitif, you need to bluff a little. Freddy Rossmann knows the story....

2. what would you most like to promote?
For Switzerland. Because it offers more than many think.

3. was there a moment in your life when you thought: Wow. This is great. And it's from me!
Have you ever held a self-produced wine in your hands? From the vine into the glass? Beautiful moment. The palate, however, was less convinced.

4. what is it impossible for you to do without?
To my bike, which gets me past the morning traffic easily every day.

5. the best testimonial ever?
The Budweiser Clydesdales got along without big words.

6. what advertising should be banned?
The advertising of electronics retailers is currently already very banal in design. A bit of disruption would be good here.

7. is the opinion true that you can't grow old in agencies, or is that a prejudice?
You definitely get old in agencies - just faster than you'd like.

8. what do you never want to have to hear about yourself?
He didn't try.

9. what do you see as the biggest challenge for advertising at the moment?
The technologization of our society is leading to the merging of skills, which is diminishing the agencies' edge.

10. a buzz word that gets on your nerves?
Native Advertising ... another pseudo-specificity that doesn't deserve to be hyped up like this.

11. can you tell us a little secret?
My bike is an e-bike...

12. What inspired you to enter the advertising/communications industry?
Probably the curiosity to break out of the rational world of science and engage more with people.

13. why would you advise or discourage your children to seek a career in advertising/communication?
The balancing act from l'art pour l'art to real time bidding is very big. You have to think very carefully about whether you really want that.

Bern as a mecca for sports events

The sporting world will be looking to Bern several times in 2016. The European Artistic Gymnastics Championships will take place in the PostFinance Arena from May 25 to June 5. The European Beach Volleyball Championships will also be held in Biel at the beginning of June. Finally, the Tour de France, the most important cycling race in the world, will make a stopover in Bern from July 18 to 20, and the Swiss capital has already been a popular venue for sporting events in the past. The final of the 1954 Football World Cup, for example, which was held in the Wankdorf Stadium, is unforgettable. Germany defeated the highly favored Hungary 3:2 in the so-called "Miracle of Bern" and surprisingly became world champions. The 2008 European Football Championships were also played in Bern. The Swiss capital also hosted the Hockey World Championships in 2009, the European Figure Skating Championships in 2011, the Floorball World Championships in 2012, the European Mountain Bike and Trials Championships in 2013 and the Mixed Curling World Championships in 2015.Modern event locations
