Six tips for the perfect team event

1. start organizing as early as possible.
Many event locations or popular excursion destinations are fully booked early in the classic high season months of August and September. So start planning your event or excursion as early as possible. If you are planning a trip with 50 or more people, we recommend that you start planning at least six months before the date of the event.
2. the choice of your excursion date is crucial.
The period between the summer and fall vacations is traditionally when most excursions take place. Thursdays and Fridays are particularly popular for company outings and are therefore often booked up quickly. In addition, some larger providers in Switzerland and neighboring countries charge weekend supplements from Friday to Sunday. Whenever possible, we recommend that you organize your excursion before the summer vacations or from Monday to Thursday
3. know the needs of your employees or club colleagues.
At Erlebnis Schweiz, we divide the offers into three basic categories: "Fun", "Enjoyment & Comfort" and "Active and Team Spirit". During the planning phase, think carefully about what your supervisor and your employees expect from the excursion and which activity might be best suited to the people taking part. Many of our offers also include a mix of different categories, such as a scooter descent combined with a wine tasting. Your active employees will be delighted with the excursion, but so will your pleasure-seeking employees!
4. choose a realistic budget.
In order to be able to experience a varied day with your employees, the budget must be within a realistic range. Our rule of thumb: a good quality team event is possible from a budget of CHF 100 per person (excluding travel to and from the event).
5. do not select too many activities.
In our experience, many companies want to fill the day with as many program items as possible. The rule here is: less is more - allow your employees to take a breather during the excursion, after all, there should be plenty of time to relax...
6. choose an event that suits the season.
Of course, the weather plays a major role in any event. Choose the venue carefully and also remember to inform the team to bring suitable clothing if part of the event takes place outdoors.source: www.erlebnis-schweiz.com
