Migros weekly newspapers with a new look
Starting Monday, the German-language Migros-Magazin and the French-language Migros Magazine will be published with a refreshed look, a clear, streamlined structure, and a more focused content concept.
In doing so, they are also following the needs of their readers from the survey conducted in the fall of 2013. The weekly newspapers are now divided into three parts. To facilitate orientation, each section has its own color. The new opening pages and the layout with generous white space improve reader guidance, while the new fonts increase readability. Emotional and expressive images convince through their naturalness and at the same time offer inspiration to the readership. The content is increasingly linked to multimedia. Readers can access further information online, get in touch with the editorial staff, or go to Migrosmagazine.ch and Migrosmagazine.ch join in the discussion. Hans Schneeberger, Editor-in-Chief of Migros Magazine: "The newspaper is younger, more modern and better structured. At the same time, we remain sociopolitically relevant - and we surprise and entertain."

The "People"/"Société" section continues to offer moving portraits of people with exciting lifestyles, interviews with people who shape Switzerland, and reports on relevant topics from the fields of society, politics, or education.Migros has a more compact and dynamic appearance within the newspaper as a whole. The newly created section "Migros-Welt"/"Univers Migros" brings together everything worth knowing about Migros products and promotions, background reports on the company's cultural and social commitment, and news from the ten regional cooperatives. The "Life"/"Au quotidien" section focuses on service and advice. New, exciting columnists write about topics from their areas of expertise. The beauty guide and answers to original children's questions complement the previous topics of family, health, travel, gardening, cars and digital."This section of the newspaper is where readers can expect the biggest change in content," says Steve Gaspoz, Rédacteur en Chef Migros Magazine. "From now on, they will find even more practical and helpful tips for everyday life here."

Werbewoche: Will there be more or less coverage of Migros internals in the new issue?
Hans Schneeberger: We no longer report on Migros topics as before. However, they will now be bundled in a section of the newspaper in the middle, they will have a more compact and dynamic structure and we will no longer differentiate between corporate communications, marketing and regional topics.
What do you like about the new look?
Steve Gaspoz: The newspaper is now better structured. It is clearly divided into three parts, but without falling apart. It has a more modern visual language and some new sections. In addition, we have agreed on a consulting collaboration with the Migros subsidiary Medbase. A broad-based team of physicians will be responsible for a competent health section in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
Will the changes also be visible online?
Schneeberger: We are currently undergoing a major reorganization of migrosmagazin.ch anyway, which is why we have deliberately held back on changes here. However, we will also publish a large part of the new sections online.
