Midpoint and Switzerland Tourism show a lot of female power

The Zurich-based film production company Midpoint has produced a series of videos for Switzerland Tourism in which professional Swiss women’s soccer players each introduce a host city for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025—and share what personally connects them to that city.

The short films present Switzerland as a diverse travel destination and are intended to inspire both football fans and Switzerland enthusiasts alike. In the films, the professional football players share their personal favorite places and show that there is also a lot to discover and experience outside the stadium in all the venues of this year's European Championship.

The films alternate picturesque shots of the host cities with action scenes of the professional players. At a fast pace, national team player Sandrine Mauron, for example, shows why she is a fan of Geneva, while Coumba Sow shows the photogenic side of Basel and Noelle Maritz presents the highlights of St. Gallen.

"The crucial point during the shoot was to show the professional footballers in their city in a completely natural and authentic way in order to bring the uniqueness and diversity of Swiss cities to life," says Janic Halioua, director and owner of Midpoint Film, which is part of the production pool of Switzerland Tourism.

The films are now available online throughout Europe. On the Landing page football fans can find detailed information on the players, their personal City tips and further links to matches and specific offers.

Google Ads Safety Report: AI helps to slow down the wave of fraud

In 2024, Google blocked over 5 billion non-compliant ads and suspended more than 39 million ad accounts—many of them before the first ad was even served. According to the new Ads Safety Report, this was made possible in particular by advances in large language models (LLMs).

(Graphic: Google)

With the annually published "Ads Safety Report", Google takes stock of its measures to ensure a safe advertising environment. The 2024 edition shows: Advances in artificial intelligence - especially in the large LLMs - enable the company to detect and prevent fraudulent content at an early stage.

"Our LLMs now require only a fraction of the data of previous models to identify abuse patterns and distinguish between legitimate companies and fraud attempts," the report states. Over 50 improvements to these models were introduced in 2024.

These technical developments led to more than 5.1 billion "bad" ads being blocked or removed and 39.2 million accounts being blocked - a large proportion of them in the onboarding process before the first ad went live.

In 2024, particular attention was paid to fraudulent ads that used generative AI to spread fake statements from public figures. "A dedicated team of over 100 experts developed new countermeasures, such as updating our misrepresentation policy," writes Google. As a result, over 700,000 advertising accounts were permanently blocked. The number of corresponding scam reports has fallen by 90 percent.

The report also shows the impact of AI-supported systems on publishers. 97 percent of the pages against which Google took measures in 2024 were recognized by automated models. A total of 1.3 billion pages were checked and excluded if necessary.

The report also highlights the expansion of advertising transparency in the election environment: in 2024, over 8,900 new election advertisers were verified worldwide and more than 10 million ads were removed from unverified accounts. According to Google, it was the first company to introduce transparency obligations for AI-generated content in election advertising.

The report thus provides an example of how AI can contribute not only to increasing efficiency, but also to quality assurance in digital advertising ecosystems. "The threat situation is constantly changing - our investments in technology and governance are geared towards ensuring a secure framework for users and advertisers," concludes the report.

Content and form position Zurich Airport as an experience destination

Zurich Airport presents itself as a destination with international flair. In its current campaign, Inhalt und Form showcases everything Zurich Airport has to offer beyond simply arriving and departing.

Inhalt und Form has been the creative agency for Zurich Airport since 2025. At the center of the current campaign is Zurich's IATA airport code "ZRH". The deliberate shortening of words, as known from the airport language, continues in the messages of the campaign. This playful concept is not only intended to strengthen the connection to the airport world, but also uses neuromarketing approaches for a high level of recognizability and makes it clear to the target groups in a direct way what they can expect. This resulted in 15 tailor-made subjects for shoppers, commuters, employees, passengers and day-trippers.

Since Monday, a combination of DOOH, social media, public transport advertising and owned media has ensured that the messages appear where they reach the target groups best. The headlines of the subjects on the digital screens are animated like analog flyer ads, which is intended to further emphasize the airport feeling.

The aim of the landside campaign is to convert occasional visitors into regular consumers - whether through spontaneous purchases, restaurant visits or planned shopping trips. The daily and longer opening hours than conventional shopping centers are highlighted as a USP, with the aim of increasing the length of stay at the airport as a positive side effect.

Responsible at Zurich Airport: Commercial Marketing, Retail Landside departments. Responsible for content and form: Dominik Stibal (CEO), Karin Estermann (Executive Creative Director), Caroline Minar (Senior Art Director), Dario Brazerol (Copywriter), Stefanie Hager (Consultant & Junior Strategist); Dominik Baur / Fotostudio Baur (Director / Photographer), Adina Zwahlen (Photo Assistant / Digital Operator), Chris Reist (Camera / Lighting Assistant), Emilie Fischer, Mathyas Kurmann, June Fischer (Styling / Equipment).

Brinkertlück Switzerland develops cross-media campaign for JobRad

With «My Job. My Bike.», JobRad is launching a cross-media campaign to increase brand awareness and promote corporate bike leasing. The campaign was implemented by Brinkertlück Switzerland in collaboration with Maybaum Film.

The Freiburg-based company JobRad wants to raise awareness of the benefits of company bike leasing - both among potential new customers and existing business partners. The campaign "My job. My bike." campaign by Brinkertlück is aimed at companies that do not yet offer a company bike model. At the same time, existing customers should be motivated to renew existing leasing contracts.

Conceived as a cross-media awareness campaign with emotional storytelling, "My job. My bike." shows real-life protagonists from various sectors - such as industry, retail or healthcare - and links their everyday working life with the company bike. Spots featuring SC Freiburg players were also produced to generate additional attention through the sponsorship partnership with the Bundesliga soccer club.

In addition to monetary benefits - savings of up to 40 percent compared to direct purchase - the campaign also emphasizes health, environmental and employer aspects: according to studies, company bikes promote the physical and mental health of employees and can be a tool for retaining skilled workers.

Brinkertlück Switzerland was responsible for the strategic and creative implementation of the campaign. Among other things, eight video spots were produced in collaboration with Maybaum Film. The campaign is distributed via multimedia: on streaming services such as Netflix or Sky Go, on social media, YouTube and via podcast placements. The campaign is scheduled to run until September 2025.

Lisa Schneider and Eliane Bachmann, both long-time companions of numerous photographers from the agency's own network, now officially support the visual implementation of campaigns for clients from the corporate and advertising environment. According to the agency, the new positioning has developed organically - not least as a result of existing collaborations and increased demand in this segment.

At the same time, 13Photo will remain connected to the editorial sector. The network of photographers will continue to be available for editorial assignments, and the team for photo editing mandates will also remain in place.

Rawcut designs new corporate identity for Openair Frauenfeld

The Openair Frauenfeld is turning a new page and evolving into an experiential festival, featuring a comprehensive redesign, a new tagline, and a clear repositioning of its content. The new look was created by Rawcut.

Openair Frauenfeld is reinventing itself and repositioning itself as an experience festival with an international character that combines music, culture and community in a new way without losing its cultural roots. With the relaunch, Openair Frauenfeld is positioning itself as a place where music, style, visuals and community merge - a festival experience of the next generation.

Under the new motto "Skyline of No Limits", the festival opens up a visual world that goes far beyond the classic music festival. The look was developed by the agency Rawcut together with the strategy partner Superlobby. "The new design not only conveys music, but also a feeling of boundless energy and community - in the spirit of 'No Limits'," explains Harun Dogan, Creative Director at Rawcut.

The new brand world is dynamic, colorful and emotional - and is intended to appeal not only to die-hard hip-hop fans, but also to a broader, international audience.

Dentsu is the first global agency group to sign the EU AI Pact

Dentsu, which claims to be the first global agency group to do so, has committed to the responsible use of artificial intelligence by joining the voluntary EU AI Pact. The group is thus proactively responding to regulatory developments and growing concerns among clients regarding generative AI.

The global agency group Dentsu has become the first global marketing and advertising holding company to sign the EU AI Pact - a voluntary initiative of the European Commission to promote the responsible and transparent use of artificial intelligence. With this step, the company is not only positioning itself in a forward-looking regulatory manner, but is also responding to increasing concerns on the part of advertising companies, as a recent survey by the World Federation of Advertisers shows: 80 percent of the brand companies surveyed expressed reservations about the use of generative AI by agencies.

The EU AI Pact is aimed at companies that want to voluntarily align themselves with the basic principles of the upcoming EU law on artificial intelligence (AI Act). The focus is on governance structures, the risk assessment of AI systems and the development of expertise within organizations.

As part of the pact, Dentsu is committed to introducing company-wide training, implementing high-risk mapping and expanding existing AI governance models, among other things.

Implementation is based on existing collaborations with technology partners such as Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, Google and Salesforce. André Andrade, CEO of Dentsu EMEA, emphasizes: "Signing the EU AI Pact is a natural step for us. At Dentsu, we see AI as a tool to increase creativity and efficiency and achieve better results for our customers. Our commitment to the responsible use of AI not only keeps us one step ahead of regulatory requirements, but also fulfills our promise to deliver innovations that make a real impact."

Ruf Lanz: It should not fail because of the equipment

Don't let big projects fail because of the wrong equipment: Ruf Lanz demonstrates this for the Helly Hansen Workwear Center using historic buildings as examples.

Helly Hansen was founded in Norway in 1877 and, in addition to outdoor clothing, produces robust workwear for all professional groups who do not sit in a warm office but work outdoors in adverse conditions.

The current campaign for the Helly Hansen Workwear Center aims to show that Helly Hansen is equipped for tough jobs. The brand's Swiss online store operates a sales outlet in Wallisellen, among other locations.

Under the motto "Don't let big projects fail because of the wrong equipment", Ruf Lanz uses historical buildings and constructions to demonstrate that thinking big does not automatically mean doing big. Rather, it requires people in the right clothes to get down to work.

The campaign reaches decision-makers for workwear purchasing via B2B ads, direct mail, postcards and online ads.
