Clear Channel wants to see the summer of the Swiss

Now that the lockdown is over, the Swiss are back out and about—and are likely spending more time exploring their own country this summer than ever before. Under the slogan “#zeigdeinensommer,” Clear Channel is inspiring people to enjoy vacations and activities in Switzerland.

Clear Channel

In the current campaign, selected Clear Channel employees can be seen enjoying their leisure activities in Switzerland. Now it's Lake Sempach instead of Venice Beach, rugby on the Allmend instead of with the Kiwis and Harley riding at Hundgellen instead of on Route 66. Clearchannel.ch/showyoursummer Clear Channel is calling for people to submit their own pictures showing summer in Switzerland. With a bit of luck, the snapshots will soon be shown on Clear Channel's digital screens.

Swiss vacations instead of travel fever

A glance at the streets and squares shows a clear picture - people are on the move and enjoying their new freedom. Out-of-home is benefiting from the renewed increase in mobility, offering higher frequencies and increasing reach. Brands should now be back in the limelight. Under the motto #zeigdeine campaign Clear Channel has put together a summer package that is available on request.

MRB and Comqed let consumers decide on PET disposal locations

After 30 years of successful PET recycling in Switzerland, one thing is clear: the more recycling options consumers have, the more they recycle. To identify where additional recycling drop-off points are still needed, Metzger Rottman Bürge and Comqed launched a campaign for PET Recycling Switzerland.

Comqed

As PET Recycling Switzerland is unable to analyze the entire public space for samples, consumers are called upon to help. From now on Pet.ch The locations for PET boxes on public land can be specified and entered on a virtual map. PET-Recycling will then compile all the requested locations and submit them to the decision-makers in the municipalities. The aim is to significantly increase the density of PET boxes in Switzerland.

The extensive online and social media measures are flanked by a DOOH/OOH display. A mailing is sent out to high school students asking them to get involved. And as part of the annual summer initiative of the clean environment interest group "IGSU", the connection between correct waste disposal, recycling and climate protection will be addressed.

The campaign will be running throughout Switzerland from Monday. The social media activities have already been "on air" since this week.

"Restart: Content and form launches initiative for a healthy Swiss economy

The Covid-19-related lockdown not only slowed down social activities, but also brought the Swiss economy to a partial standstill. In order to revive the economy after the loosening, Inhalt und Form has launched "Restart Switzerland" together with its partners. The initiative is intended to contribute to a recovery of the Swiss economy.

inhalt und Form

The result is a national campaign that sensitizes the Swiss population to the importance of consumption. The campaign shows that by making a purchase you can not only please yourself, but indirectly also others, and at the same time boost the Swiss economy. For example, buying a pack of potato chips can cause Switzerland's birth rate to rise.

At the heart of the campaign are nine TV commercials that tell a tongue-in-cheek story of how a consumer's purchase triggers a chain reaction that ultimately helps make other people happy - and saves the Swiss economy at the same time.

"We wanted to become active and also do what we do best as an advertising agency during the lockdown - generate attention, raise awareness and encourage people to buy," says Dominik Stibal, CEO of Inhalt und Form and initiator of "Restart Switzerland." "We have taken responsibility ourselves with this initiative and made a contribution to a healthy Swiss economy."

Dominik Stibal, CEO of Inhalt und Form and initiator, wants the initiative to contribute to a healthy Swiss economy.

Versatile collaboration

The fact that additional partners were quickly found for the initiative shows that it was not just the Zurich advertising agency that felt this way: In addition to the performance partners Goldbach as well as the production companies Zweihund, The Cover Media and the translation agency Diction, the advertising clients Emmi, Emil Frey, Ochsner Sport, Profital, Promena, Sanofi, Schweizer Obstverband, TCS and Zweifel could be won over for the initiative and are now part of the campaign with their products and services. In addition, the initiative is supported by the trade associations SWA/ASA and Promarca.

"It is very nice to see that in such a short time - and during the Covid 19-related aggravating circumstances - such a campaign could be realized together with our members and partners. This only works if everyone pulls together," says Roland Ehrler, director of the SWA.

The national campaign started on Thursday, just in time for the Federal Council's latest big relaxations. In addition to TV spots, online videos, display ads, DOOH as well as advertisements and the landing page will be used. Restart-switzerland.ch.

Branded TV is more effective than TV commercials

TV content is significantly more effective for brand success than traditional television advertising. Viewers see brands in a much more positive light through such content. Above all, it is important that the themes of TV series align with the brands featured in them. This is according to a survey by the British television network Channel 4.

TV

"Branded content gives brands the opportunity to work with producers to develop high-quality media entertainment. This allows them to integrate their values and messages into stories that viewers want to see," says Sophie Lloyd, Head of Branded Entertainment at Channel 4.

Channel 4 analysts used both audience information on their own shows and survey data for the survey. According to them, branded TV content leads to a 29 percent higher perception for brands than ordinary commercials. Audiences also have a more positive image of brands in almost half of cases as a result of branded content.

Program must be success

According to Channel 4, producing a TV commercial is much easier and less costly than putting a brand into a TV series in an effective way. The brand must fit the content of the series, and the show must be a success with the audience. But if the strategy is successful, brands can engage viewers over a longer period of time and build a positive relationship with them. (pte)

Google buys content from newspaper publishers for the first time

For the first time in its history, Google will enter into licensing agreements with newspaper publishers and pay for the right to display journalistic content. The internet company announced this in a blog post on Thursday.

Zeitungsverlagen

The content is to appear on Google News and Google Discover. Google has not yet announced exactly how the content will be presented to users.

The program starts in Germany, Australia and Brazil. Carsten Knop, publisher of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, said in the blog post that they were pleased that Google was continuing to expand its cooperation with publishers like his company and was taking the opportunity to work together on a new product. "This will offer FAZ readers real added value on Google News platforms," he wrote.

Stefan Ottlitz, managing director of Spiegel Group, is quoted as saying, "This exciting new partnership with Google enables us to take our award-winning journalism with curated stories to a new format "

Refusal to date

Until now, Google had stubbornly refused to buy content from newspaper publishers and other media outlets, earning itself big trouble from some media companies like Axel Springer.

Google did not say how much money publishers will receive for displaying content on Google News and Google Discover. However, the program is "broad and long-term" and is to be expanded to include even more publishers - including smaller local newspapers - as well as radio stations and TV stations.

Google executive Brad Bender, who leads the group's news products as vice president, emphasized the importance of traditional media in his blog post, saying, "A vital publishing and news industry has probably never been more important than it is today, at a time when people are looking for information they can rely on in the midst of a global pandemic or in light of recent protests against discrimination."

However, he said, this is happening at a time when the industry's business is under significant pressure. "For Google, helping publishers do their important work while giving users access to relevant information has been and continues to be of central importance," Bender wrote. (SDA)

The ZVV annual report, designed by Hej, highlights the #generationzvv and their public transportation needs.

ZVV

The ZVV connects generations. The #generationzvv includes everyone who uses public transport in the canton of Zurich. The subjects of the text/image section in the middle of the printed report can be separated out. The digital illustration is done as before integrated in the ZVV website.
