Author Thomas Meyer now writes for Galaxus

Author and columnist Thomas Meyer will now be writing articles for Galaxus magazine. Meyer is known, among other things, for his book *Wolkenbruch’s Whimsical Journey into the Arms of a Schickse*.

The book was published in 2012 and spent 70 weeks on the bestseller lists. The story was filmed in 2017 and subsequently became a box-office success.

Meyer, who is 46 and lives in Zurich, focuses on everyday topics in his articles and combines them with autobiographical stories. The editorial articles in Galaxus magazine are intended to offer readers new perspectives - and deliberately go beyond the online store's product range.

"I am very much looking forward to the collaboration. Galaxus gives me all the freedom I need, and I hope to surprise readers with my texts," says Meyer. The first contribution by him has just appeared on Galaxus.ch and is about his passion for collecting small objects.

Martin Jungfer, Head of Content at Digitec Galaxus, describes the signing of Thomas Meyer as "extremely gratifying". "It makes us proud that with Thomas Meyer we have inspired one of the most interesting authors in Switzerland for our concept," says Jungfer. Entertaining content is an important part of the offering in Galaxus' magazine. Jungfer emphasizes that the articles and videos of the Galaxus editorial team are independent of the commercial interests of the online retailer. "This is another reason why Thomas Meyer has joined us. We very much appreciate that he will contribute to the quality and diversity of content."

Last minute and vacations at home: how to book Switzerland in the Corona summer

The current situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic poses major challenges for the travel industry and for the many people who want to travel. However, it also offers an opportunity to get to know Switzerland and its people better. The online travel platform Ebookers has analyzed booking requests from this summer.

schweiz_corona_ebookers
Many Swiss people are spending their summer vacation in Switzerland this year. Ticino and Valais are the most popular destinations for domestic tourists.

The travel and tourism sector is being severely tested by the coronavirus pandemic. However, the Swiss population's desire to travel remains unchanged. However, vacations abroad were not the top priority for many this summer. However, a representative survey by online travel agency Ebookers shows that 70 percent of respondents are spending their summer vacation in Switzerland.

The program includes hiking, cycling tours in the mountains or a refreshing dip in previously unknown mountain lakes. In many cases, beach vacations were swapped for an active vacation in Switzerland: "Interest in the mountain regions of Switzerland was significantly higher than in other years," says Claudia Parker, Head of PR at Ebookers, commenting on the development.

Last minute makes a comeback

And there has also been a turnaround in booking behavior since the spring. While last-minute bookings have tended to decline in recent years, last-minute requests are now booming again. According to an analysis by Ebookers, the majority of bookings are made three or fewer days before departure. This suggests that, on the one hand, the desire to travel remains unbroken, but on the other hand, there is also a certain amount of uncertainty regarding travel plans.

"This indicates that the summer vacations are sacrosanct for the Swiss," adds Claudia Parker. "A change of scenery is very important for many people after the lockdown. However, we are seeing that many people are holding off on booking at the moment to avoid the negative impact of restrictions."

Valais and Ticino are popular

A survey in April already showed that Switzerland is a very popular summer vacation destination in this country. This trend is continuing and is now also reflected in bookings for trips in July, August and September.

Publicis demands: More ghetto, drags and country bumpkins in parliament

This year's campaign for the Youth Session sets an example for diversity - and also invites those to participate who would otherwise be left out. Publicis is responsible for the creation.

JUS_Header-RS

Once a year, the Federal Parliament does not belong to the established National Councilors, but to young people. During the youth session, they discuss socio-political issues from their very own perspective. To encourage as many different young people as possible to participate, the Publicis campaign focuses on diversity. Politics needs more drags, more handicaps or more ghettoes: these announcements make it clear that for once, everyone can get involved in the Federal Parliament.

Even during the development of the campaign, Publicis relied on the participation of young people: The messages were discussed and worked out together with the models, and the idea was selected by a youth panel. So this year, young people are not only shaping the political discussion, but also the advertising for it.

The campaign can be seen now as moving images on social media as well as posters around schools and will be continuously added to until the youth session on November 5-8.

01_Solarmarkt_Header_Artikel

In addition to a large selection of solar components, the photovoltaic wholesaler also offers comprehensive services and in-depth solar expertise for installation companies, planners and architects as well as building owners.

The new claim "Competence and components" was developed in order to communicate the company's positioning as a holistic solar competence center more strongly to the outside world. The diverse range is also expressed through concise core messages that position Solarmarkt as the partner for planning, brands, services, training and innovations and are consistent throughout the entire communication.

Sunny yellow

Visually, the new appearance is dominated by the color yellow, which is used in the tectonics as well as in the monochrome imagery and imbues the overall appearance with sunshine. With its high recognition value, the brand image aims to emphasize Solarmarkt's claim to leadership and bring emotion and power to an industry that is largely very factual and technical in appearance.

Web platform as the communicative centerpiece

The communicative centerpiece is Dachcom's completely newly developed website with e-shop Solarmarkt.chwhich acts as a solar competence center.

The new image is also visible on advertisements, posters, a news magazine, trade fair appearances, brochures, business stationery, moving image content and various online marketing measures.

CSS and Sir Mary say "Hello Life

With "Hello Life", the Zurich-based agency Sir Mary has created a new positioning for CSS Insurance. The extensive launch campaign aims to inspire people to deal openly and positively with their personal destiny.

CSS-Hallo-Leben-(003)

CSS Versicherung's new campaign exemplifies its own attitude right away by breaking with conventional advertising: Instead of showing only happy people and moments, CSS focuses on honesty and confrontation with the reality of life. In the campaign, everything that we encounter and can happen to us in everyday life is greeted with a "hello" - including serious illnesses such as dementia and cancer.

Health Study: Michael Hermann/Sotomo, Media: Mediaschneider Bern

"Hello Life" has an impact deep into the core of the company. To ensure that all CSS employees internalize the new attitude and can act accordingly in the future, internal company webinars were held prior to the campaign launch. After all, every employee will be confronted with "Hello Life" in their day-to-day work: in collaboration between Sir Mary and CSS, various corporate areas such as employer branding have been realigned in terms of communication.

The new campaign goes on air three months late: With a complete film crew, actors and scouted locations at the start, it was "Hello Corona" on the very first day of shooting. The lockdown required a complete shutdown of filming and subsequently a solution-oriented approach and patience on the part of everyone involved. Finally, in July, the TV spots could be shot successfully and in conformity with Corona.

The kick-off campaign for the new CSS brand attitude manifests itself in television and online spots, on posters, ads, banners, in public reports, radio spots and social media, as well as on Hello-life.ch.

More than an advertising campaign

"It was already clear to us during the pitch phase that CSS needed more than just an advertising campaign. "Hallo Leben" is a relevant brand attitude that sets CSS apart from the competition and lives up to its position as Switzerland's leading health insurer," says Daniel Zuberbühler, co-founder and client service director at Sir Mary. "We are therefore extremely proud that we were able to develop an entire brand philosophy with "Hello Life"."

With "Hello Life", CSS Insurance wants to inspire people to deal openly and positively with difficult life situations - a topical issue. For example, Sir Mary and the Sotomo research center surveyed 4217 Swiss people about how they deal with illness and health. And the nationwide survey shows, among other things, that young people in particular often hide their illnesses and problems because they are afraid of the reactions from those around them. All the more important, then, the role of a health insurance company - or a health partner, as CSS sees itself - is to take a step toward openness and the removal of taboos. "Nobody is always healthy. We all have our problems. If we can say 'hello' to them, it means we are ready to accept them and seek help." It's an emotional process that's not easy, but can be decisive in determining whether you succeed in finding your way back to an everyday life that is as healthy and happy as possible," explains Reto Schertenleib, Head of Marketing Communications at CSS.

The new content format "Stories about Health and Happiness" also demonstrates these emotions. In it, six CSS policyholders talk about their fateful lives, which are extremely challenging for them but still, or precisely because of this, a happy one: from Cristine, who was seriously ill with breast cancer at the age of 30, to Antonino, who has been going through life with various traumas since his motorcycle accident. All these stories are given an emotional framework by a TV spot that highlights the various aspects of the campaign in short sequences.

TrueStory and Alnatura: My organic for every day

As part of a branding campaign for Alnatura’s diverse organic product line, TrueStory conceived and produced three supermarket stories. At the heart of the campaign are three consumer videos that are interconnected but are also designed to appeal to specific target audiences on their own.

Sara-alnatura_jpg

The protagonists of the three video spots - Sara, Max and Moni - discover Alnatura's countless organic offerings. In the process, their paths cross again and again, even though they all have different shopping needs. The three stories tell of these individual needs and show that they can all be met in the Alnatura organic supermarket. True to the motto: My organic for every day.

In general, the demand for organic products is steadily increasing in Switzerland. If you want to buy them, you can now find a good range in more and more supermarkets. Nevertheless, many Swiss people still do not know that there is an organic supermarket with 5,000 products from well-known organic brands.
