Ogilvy: Online campaign for Galbani

In the course of an international renewal and repositioning of the Galbani website, Ogilvy created the Switzerland-specific content as well as the online promotion of the new website for Lactalis Suisse based on the international platform "Il Gusto Italiano".

The content of the new website is based on various so-called cooking correspondents from Switzerland. These Correspondents, passionate amateur cooks with Italian roots, show in short, authentic Videos their favorite Italian recipes, how they prepare them and with what tips the dishes succeed best. In addition, new recipes are constantly uploaded to the site. In the meantime, more than 500 Italian recipes are already available.

The desired attention as well as a considerable number of visitors were generated in a first step by a search campaign as well as a banner campaign, in which also the correspondents play the main roles. The aim of the overall concept is to make the website "ilgustoitaliano.ch" the reference for Italian recipes in the foreseeable future. Continuation, optimization and expansion of the content and application campaigns for 2014 are already in the works.

Heads: New appearance for Amag

The Heads agency has revamped Amag's brand structure, strategic positioning, and overall brand identity.

For three years, the branding agency Heads has been supporting Amag in its internal strategic and operational brand management with a program to raise awareness and change behavior in customer orientation. At the beginning of the year, Amag decided to take the increased focus on improved customer orientation to the outside world as well. As part of this decision, Heads was commissioned with the consolidation of the brand structure, strategic positioning and the development of a new corporate identity.

United under a single strong word mark, all Amag business units can now avoid the dominance conflict of the image-strong brand logos of the distributed factory brands. A separate Amag typeface is intended to create unmistakable recognition, and a fresh color palette composed of the tonal colors of the factory brands contributes to the harmonious integration of the products into corporate communications. The visual language is also more emotional and lively: the focus of communication is no longer just cars, but the people whose mobility Amag is committed to every day.

Heads Managing Director Ralph Hermann: "For a promise to be credible to the outside world, it must be lived internally. Change in corporate design is ideally the continuation of targeted behavioral branding. What is needed is profound strategic work, a program that builds up internally, and logical implementation externally. This is what happened at Amag. It's a pleasure to work for a company that thinks long-term, weighs changes carefully, but then decides consistently and is prepared to implement without compromise."

Dino Graf, Head of Corporate Communication Amag: "Heads understood our internal organization very well and managed to consolidate it from the client's point of view. The agency's 360-degree approach, the good exchange and the close cooperation lead - now also visible to the outside - to an effective result."

Last but not least: Jii!Jii!Jii!

In many ways, the Japanese are in a pretty wacky league of their own. In advertising, for example. Clear the stage for the Jii lighter.

It is not only the Japanese TV shows that cause confusion, admiration and head-shaking in the West. In other respects, too, we keep receiving news from the land of the rising sun in the category "What a lot there is". For example, women who have their teeth artificially worsened in order to conform to the childlike, innocent Yaeba look. Or vending machines that spit out not cigarettes or sweets, but used women's underwear. Toilets with the equipment of a wellness hotel. And and and. Japanese advertising is also very popular. Youtube makes it possible that suddenly the whole world can participate in the strange, cult-like creative outpourings. On the video portal, compilations with Japanese advertising are attracting a lot of interest.

The spot for the Jii cigarette lighter is a new addition to the viral distribution spiral. Charged via USB, the thing makes life difficult for conventional disposable lighters. And the song... Roll the film! (hae)

Eyeloveyou brings Europuls to the clientele

For the launch of the Europuls Outdoor Center in St. Margrethen, Eyeloveyou developed an overall design concept intended to convey a sense of closeness.

For the Europuls project, an overall concept was developed for the design of communications for the marketing launch. According to a statement, the concept is based on the new logo and the claim "grenzenlos vielfältig" (borderless diversity) and takes up the theme of proximity in all measures.Europuls on the Altfeld site in St. Margrethen is located directly on the route from Germany and northwestern Switzerland to the Swiss mountains and at the same time very close to Austria and Lake Constance.

Close at all levels

The new claim "grenzenlos vielfältig" (unlimited variety) illustrates the huge range of outdoor brands that awaits customers at the future Europuls. At the same time, it communicates across all national borders: Europuls is the new sporting pulse in the heart of Europe, quickly accessible from anywhere and at the focal point between lakes and the Alps, which are among the most popular outdoor sports areas in Europe. The theme of borders is also taken up in the logo: with border markings spreading out from a triangle.

Close also to the clientele

The marketing brochure takes up the theme again and again with memorable and astonishing distance details and comparisons. And demonstrates the closeness in the centerpiece of the publication: a fold-out window fold, which places Europuls in the center like a radar and illustrates how close everything really is here - from Lake Constance to the ski area and urban centers like Zurich, Basel or Munich.

Close to the receiver

As a special measure, a personalized press invitation was designed that clearly shows the recipient's distance to europuls, down to the last kilometer - proximity communicated very directly. And on the new website Europuls.ch provides a lot of information with short navigation paths: from interesting facts to information on the site and the project to details on the staging.

Chris Wittmer, Head of Cinema & TV, said in a press release on Friday: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers another advertising opportunity in the growth market of moving images through our partnership with S1 and thus transport the messages of our advertising customers to a broad, TV-savvy target group."

The new TV channel S1 is aimed at the 35+ target group and offers the general public a full program with a focus on feature films, documentaries and numerous Swiss productions (Werbewoche.ch reported).

S1's advertising offering will be available in the publiplan booking and processing system and the MediaWizard forecasting, planning and reporting tool when bookings open in 2014 on November 25, 2013.

S1: The new Swiss television is breaking new ground

A first step has been taken toward breaking up the duopoly in the Swiss television market. Publisuisse and Goldbach Media now face competition.

Less than two weeks after Publicitas announced the new and more contemporary idea of an all-media marketing strategy at the media conference for the half-year results of the parent company Publigroupe, the time has now come. The new Swiss channel S1 - founded by Hardy Lussi and Mike Gut, the two former managing directors of Pro Sieben Sat.1 Media Schweiz and Andreas Auerbach, the owner of Voice Publishing - will be marketed by Publicitas with immediate effect.

Hardy Lussi, Managing Director of the new channel, told Werbewoche: "We consider the marketing cooperation between S1 and Publicitas to be a great opportunity for the new TV channel. Publicitas' focus on a diversified media portfolio, the Swiss-wide sales network and the motivated Publicitas team are an enrichment for S1."

The publiplan booking and processing system and the Media Wizard forecasting, planning and reporting tool will be available for the channel, which will go on air on UPC Cablecom's digital cable network in mid-October, when bookings open in 2014 on November 25, 2013. Spontaneous bookings are possible immediately. The channel will also be launched on Swisscom's digital network during the first quarter of 2014. Other cable network operators will be added on an ongoing basis. (pcm)

Ruf Lanz: Campaign for Michèle Rosten's books

«How to Be a Mother» is the title of Michèle Roten's much-discussed new book. The magazine columnist had previously published «How to Be a Woman.» Ruf Lanz is now promoting both books at the same time.

While the young, urban woman wears a perfect blue eye shadow over her eyes in the "How to be a woman" theme, she only has the shadow under her eyes in the "How to be a mother" theme.

In this way, the subject is dealt with just as unabashedly as the author, who is known for her uninhibited style. It appears double-page and half-page in newspapers and magazines. Both books are available in any good bookstore or at Real-time.ch.

Responsible at Echtzeit Verlag: Wendelin Hess, Michèle Roten. Vhe responsible at Ruf Lanz: Markus Ruf, Danielle Lanz (Creative Direction), Isabelle Hauser, Mario Moosbrugger (Art Direction), Torsten Maas (Text), Sabrina Luck (Consulting). Image processing: Aschmannklauser.

YCA 2013: Good mood at the warm-up event

It has been available for download since Wednesday: the briefing for the seventh edition of what is arguably Switzerland's most important competition for up-and-coming creatives, the ADC Young Creatives Award 2013.

This year's briefing event took place in the ADC Gallery in a tense atmosphere, with around 100 interested parties in attendance. After the introduction of the YCA head Philipp Skrabal, Jumana Issa made the start. She won last year with her team the film category and reported on her experiences from Cannes. Urs Schaad, Head of Marketing Communications Suva, followed with background information on the briefing. Urs Krucker (Chief Strategist Y&R Group) then presented the specific briefing. Suva's goal is to reduce the far too high number of apprentice accidents - around 25'000 every year - by half. A campaign is to be launched to target apprentices in occupations with an increased risk of accidents. In 2013, entries can again be submitted in four categories: Film, Outdoor, Cyber and Alternative Media. Anyone with a birthday on or after June 21, 1985, is eligible to participate.

At the end, as always, there was enough time for small talk over a small aperitif. For those who missed the event, please visit Adc.ch/youth the briefing and all submission instructions in German and French. The deadline for entries is October 15. Anyone born after June 21, 1985 may enter. Werbewoche is the media partner of the competition. (pd/hae)

Last but not least: 100 million euros wasted

100 million euros for a soccer player—you hardly even notice the annual transfer madness anymore. Zeit.de has created a great visualization of what that amount really means.

Admittedly: Gareth Bale has been warming the hearts of football fans for years. One of those players whose added value on the pitch is obvious without having to endure tedious badi-trickli or interpret hidden tactical genius. Bale has always made the difference on the pitch, running away from everyone, keeping hold of the ball and, for example, scoring.

Nevertheless, the fact that the heavily indebted club Real Madrid paid 100 million euros - around 125 million Swiss francs - for him is beyond comprehension. Most people have no idea what this amount means. Remedy offers Time.com with a beautiful illustration. It shows that you could buy a Boeing 737 Max 8, for example. Would you have thought that an airliner would cost 100 million euros? At least it is probably cheaper to maintain than a top footballer who has to be satisfied with absurd salary payments after the takeover. You could also buy three ICE trains or almost 1000 Porsche Carrera S cars. Or employ 405 Merkels for a year. You can find the illustration at this link.

Alternatively, you could use the money to subscribe to Advertising Week for 468,000 years. If you plan less slowly and anticipate everything a little: With a combined subscription to Media Trend Journal, you would be on the safe side for at least the next 388,000 years. You don't have to commit yourself immediately, we look forward to receiving your answer within the next 10,000 years. (hae)
