Joiz and Adidas launch hip hop show

Starting September 6, Joiz will air the hip-hop show «Joiz in the hood» every Friday. The show, sponsored by Adidas, is hosted by Uğur Gültekin.

According to the announcement, the program will focus on hip-hop culture that goes beyond the usual clichés such as cars, bling-bling and half-naked women. Creative artists, youth culture, street dance, rap history or freestyle events. But there are also fun experiments: Joiz sends leg-hugging rockers to a hip-hop concert, for example. In keeping with the sponsor Adidas, the show goes back to the rap roots of Run DMC and Co.

The interactive show is hosted by Uğur Gültekin aka Modo, who has made a name for himself as a rapper in recent years and is strongly networked in the scene. Uğur is the host of the Freestyle Conventions collective and has hosted countless hip-hop events, battles and big events. "The most creative and active subculture in Switzerland is finally getting airplay! If the show is only watched by all my homeboys and flygirls, it will be a fat party," says Gültekin. The show will be broadcast every Friday at 5:30 p.m. starting September 6, 2013.

Norbert Neininger is "Publisher of the Year"

Norbert Neininger, editor-in-chief and publisher of the *Schaffhauser Nachrichten*, has been named Swiss Publisher of the Year by a jury of media industry professionals. This is the eighth time the award, presented by the trade journal *Schweizer Journalist*, has been given.

Despite the structural changes in the industry and the constant pressure from large publishing houses, 63-year-old Neininger has managed to secure the independence of Schaffhauser Nachrichten and his publishing house over the years, Schweizer Journalist editor-in-chief Markus Wiegand was quoted as saying in a press release on Thursday.

In addition, as a journalist and publisher, Neininger stands for the journalistic standards of his products and repeatedly shapes the debate on the future of the media himself. "On the issue of paid content, he recognized earlier than others that users must also make a contribution to financing."

Every year, the "Publisher of the Year" award is presented to personalities who have secured the future of their companies. Last year, Christoph Bauer (AZ Medien) won the title (Werbewoche.ch reported). (SDA)

Award-CC 2013 goes to BSSM

The 2013 Corporate Communications Award went to BSSM for its concept for the Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank. The Social Media Award was presented to the agency Namics for its Swisscom campaign.

For the ninth time, the jury of the national Award Corporate Communications honored the most innovative concepts in integrated communications on Wednesday, September 4. This year's Award-CC honors the project surrounding the launch of Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank's new mission statement "Shaping Successfully". By using various internal and external channels, employing a wide range of communication tools and consistently implementing the target, the winning project was able to convince the jury most of its sustainability and holistic nature.

However, the jury also sees the award in a broader context, as it says in a statement: "For the first time, three projects from the banking sector were submitted this year. This shows that this sector is opening up further and is more active in terms of communication. Thus, the winning of the Award-CC by the BLKB project is just another step in this ongoing development," says Urs Frei, juror and member of the Harbour Club, Chief Communications Officer of Swiss organizations.

Other nominees this year were: Coca-Cola Switzerland with "There's more Switzerland in Coca-Cola than meets the eye", the Helsana Group with "Helsana-Family", Notenstein Privatbank with "Thinking in scenarios", and from French-speaking Switzerland the Vanksen VKGP organization with the project "Mission GE: SIG Les Services Industriels de Genève".

Social Media Award for Swisscom

This year, the Social Media Award was presented for the third time as part of the Award-CC. In the first phase, the public was able to select six favorites from 22 campaigns on Facebook. From these six finalists, a top-class jury of experts, convened for the first time, chose Namics' concept for Swisscom. However, this decision was extremely close. In second place comes Freestyle TV, a one-man project from the canton of Bern.

Show highlight and relaxed atmosphere

In addition to the presentation of the awards, the focus of the evening was on a pleasant exchange between exponents of the communications industry, as well as an entertaining awards gala. For example, the Lucerne sound artist Jan Siegwart enchanted the audience with his show. "We would like to thank all our sponsors, the applicants, the nominees and the audience for a great evening and congratulate the award winners very much", initiator Roland Bieri summarizes the 9th Award Corporate Communication.

Next year, the Award-CC will celebrate its tenth birthday, with many novelties and activities around the anniversary. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2014.

Contexta: French-speaking Switzerland is also Vaudoise

After German-speaking Switzerland (Basel, Zurich, Lucerne, Zermatt) and Ticino, Contexta is now continuing the "I am Vaudoise" campaign this year with portraits of insured persons from French-speaking Switzerland.

Because just as in German-speaking Switzerland, Vaudoise naturally demonstrates a great deal of customer proximity in French-speaking Switzerland as well, according to a statement. It is always "Là ou vous êtes." The campaign therefore also focuses on two Romands who are firmly rooted in their region: the young student and courageous climber Anouk Piola from Geneva and the passionate and fun-loving chocolatier Tristan Carbonatto from Bougy-Villars near Lausanne. The two cinematic portraits are intended to show that "being Vaudoise" is much more than just being well insured. Those who are "Vaudoise" feel safe at all times - and can therefore enjoy life to the full, the press release continues. The new films and print subjects will be shown throughout Switzerland to complement the existing campaign.

Responsible at Vaudoise Insurance: Emmanuelle Chatenet (Head of Marketing & Communications), Véronique Oliveira (Deputy Head of Marketing & Communications), Sylvain Couchoux (Marketing & Communications). Responsible at Contexta: Nadine Borter (overall responsibility), Moritz Staehelin (creative direction), Ulysse Schnegg (art buying, FFF) Willem Baumann (art direction), Daniel Müller (text), Jessica Müller (graphics), Giuseppe Luciano (consulting group manager), Alexandra Beyeler (consulting). "Horny Shit" in the Federal House

Leo Burnett's new "Jugendsessions" campaign featuring former "Tagesschau" anchor Beatrice Müller—this time without commentary and with all the trimmings.

Young people express themselves differently from adults - not only in everyday life, but also when it comes to politics. Leo Burnett Switzerland has used this insight to create a new comprehensive campaign for the youth session. Ex-daytime show presenter Beatrice Müller is also involved.

Once a year, young people instead of adults debate in the National Council chamber. In order to attract as many young people as possible to this political event, the youth session has been relying on unusual campaigns by Leo Burnett Switzerland for years. Last year, well-known politicians had their mouths taped shut, but this year the campaign is focusing on the different language used by young people.

When it comes to opinions, young people usually express themselves more forcefully than adults. Accordingly, during the four days in Bern, the voting results are not "Yes" or "No", but "Hammer", "Voll fett" and "Uhuere geil" or "My Ass" or "Dini Mueter". The hearty expressions of the young people contrast with the sober result tables, as we know them from votes in the Federal Palace.

Posters, banners and a TV commercial show exactly what will happen at the youth session from November 14 to 17. It looks like a normal news report, but the voting results make viewers sit up and take notice. Former Tagesschau presenter Beatrice Müller was recruited for the commercial.

Thanks to a partnership with the youth channel Joiz, the surveys on current topics - political and non-political - will also be broadcast on the channel in the style of the youth session in the run-up to the youth session.

Responsible at Jugendsession: Micha Küchler (Project Manager Youth Session), Céline Minder (Project Assistant Youth Session), Stefan Brader (Co-President OC of the Youth Session), Patricia Dincau (Head of Communications SAJV). Responsible at Leo Burnett Switzerland: Simon Smit (Text), Niels Schäfer, Roland Buob (Art Direction), Simon Staub (Creative Direction), Peter Brönnimann (Executive Creative Direction), Fabian Schiltknecht, Annika Seidel (Consulting). Film production: Plan B. Online: Station.

The campaign was launched on Wednesday in Last but not least discussed and discreetly criticized. Leo Burnett reacted to this with humor. According to Executive Creative Director Peter Brönnimann, there is freedom of expression - and this is celebrated here. Freedom of expression also prevails on Werbewoche.ch - hence the unabridged original message as an addendum.

Last but not least: Truly not my style

When adults try to imitate teenagers, it usually ends in a cringe-worthy fiasco. Clear the stage for the awesome Jugendsession commercial.

The Swiss Association of Youth Organizations (SAJV) wants to draw attention to the upcoming youth session with a newsreel-style commercial and show that just as important decisions are discussed and made there as in the big ones - albeit with a different choice of words. Former "Tagesschau" presenter Beatrice Müller hosts the "News from the Federal Parliament" and uses and shows how the young would-be politicians apparently speak:

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZpeMxjq1ws

"Yeah, huere geil", "zum Chotze", "geile Shit", "Nöd so min Style", "Voll fett", "Dini Mueter", "Hä, was lauft?" - even if the language does indeed scratch the surface of reality - the whole thing certainly comes across as pandering. No wonder the words "cool" and "crass" don't appear. Funnily enough, the young parliamentarians shown don't look like they would reject a bill with the words "Dini Mueter" anyway.

geile-shit-2
geile-shit-3
geile-shit-4

They look more as if they are attending the youth session so that they can list another activity on their CV under "other activities" and thus lay another foundation stone for a great career. No offense meant - but youth slang is something else.

Nobody knows how the young people are talking at the moment. A teacher friend of mine, who teaches this "Dini Mueter" group, recently told me that the term "Richi" in all its variations is currently all the rage among his pupils. The Scene of the SRF program "Auf und davon", in which father Schönbächler crushes his son Richi after the excavator crash, apparently enjoys a cemented cult status in younger climes. Or enjoyed it, probably something else is in vogue today. You usually only find out when it's no longer "full fat", but "to the chotze". You can only burn your fingers with the language of youth, so hands off. Incidentally, the campaign is the work of the Leo Burnett agency. Last year's youth session campaign with the gagged politicians won several awards (for example "Poster of the year") (hae)

McDonald's Switzerland launches digital dialog

Where does the beef in the Big Mac come from? How many calories are in a Happy Meal? Under the slogan «Our Food. Your Questions,» McDonald’s Switzerland is now answering all questions about its product offerings on the microsite Askmcdo.ch.

"There are many preconceptions and myths about the quality of our food. We want to dispel these", explains Thomas Truttmann, Marketing & Communications Director at McDonald's Switzerland, in a press release. "We already provide detailed information about the origin and quality of our products in our restaurants, on our website and at events. With the new platform, we are expanding our communication to include an interactive, digital channel."

Ask questions and share answers

From September 4, interested parties can visit the trilingual website Askmcdo.ch ask a food-related question via Facebook, Twitter or email. McDonald's will answer the question in the language of the question and publish it for all users to see. For selected answers, films are also integrated for an even clearer explanation. An automated search function checks whether an answer already exists as soon as the question is typed in. Askmcdo.ch is therefore not only a platform for exchange, but also for knowledge.
