PMS: ZVV annual report with a lot of "chirping

The new annual report of the Zurich Transport Association blurs the boundaries between online and offline. PMS Dialog frames the text and figures section of the annual report with tweets about public transport in the greater Zurich area.

Public transport is a widespread and popular topic on social media platforms. The Zurich Transport Association (ZVV) is also an active participant in social media, not least on the short message platform Twitter. The latest ZVV annual report attempts to blur the boundaries between online and offline: The figures and text section is framed by tweets from the last financial year on the subject of public transport in the Greater Zurich Area. These include original, funny, but also critical contributions and conversations. The result is a potpourri of ideas and a colorful chirping of opinions.

The "Twitter" idea was developed by the agency PMS Dialog from Zurich. At the request of ZVV, it was conceived as a trilogy: The next two annual reports will also be accompanied by tweets about public transport. The participation of interested Twitter users for the upcoming editions is expressly encouraged. The 2013 Annual Report was sent to ZVV's stakeholders and the media on Wednesday. It is available on Zvv.ch also available for download.

Sale of Publicitas to Aurelius completed

The sale of Publicitas, the media sales division of Publicroupe, to the German company Aurelius was completed on June 30, 2014, as previously announced.

This follows the approval of the transactions by Publigroupe's shareholders, the approval of the competition authority and the completion of all formalities for the transaction, according to a statement on Wednesday. The transaction was announced on April 2, 2014. As of July 1, 2014, Publicitas became a company of Aurelius, a company traded on the Munich Stock Exchange. Aurelius is acquiring Publicitas with all related companies in Switzerland and abroad, as well as its 49 percent stake in Xentive. All employees and all contractual obligations, in particular to media providers, advertising clients and agencies, will also be taken over.

For Publigroupe, the transaction will lead to a one-off write-down of around CHF 30 to 40 million, which will impact Publigroupe's net result in 2014. Publigroupe expects a positive operating result for the first half of 2014, which still includes the result of Publicitas.

The sale of Publicitas by Publigroupe was announced on April 2 this year (Werbewoche.ch reported). According to a statement, Publicitas intends to continue to be active in the newly created, entrepreneurial environment for the marketing of advertising space from local, regional, national and international media providers, as well as advising advertising clients and agencies in Switzerland and a further 20 countries on the placement of their advertising message in line with the target group. The strategy announced in August 2013 of increasingly automated planning, booking and processing of advertising in all media types can be implemented consistently and with the necessary room for maneuver under the new owner.

Uniform brand identity from 2015

In addition, Publicitas will introduce a uniform brand identity in Switzerland by January 1, 2015 at the latest. In line with today's media usage behavior and Publicitas' approach of offering customers fully comprehensive and cross-genre media solutions, the competence brands Publicitas Cinecom (cinema advertising), Publicitas Publiconnect (classified advertising), Publicitas Publimag (trade magazines), Instanz (performance marketing) and Publimedia will be replaced by the single brand Publicitas by 1.1.2015 at the latest, and the competencies in the various advertising media will be united under one roof and one brand - Publicitas. Mint realizes exhibition in the Museum of Nature Lucerne

The Minz Agency and the Lucerne Cantonal Archaeology Department have jointly realized the exhibition «Buried with Pomp and Splendour». The project has its origins in around 300 BC, when a young woman was buried in an oak coffin.

"With pomp and splendor" is the name of the exhibition, since the young Celt was buried extraordinarily lavishly with grave goods of silver and bronze. Today, 2314 years later, the small, petite Celt is affectionately called "Paris" by designers and exhibition organizers for the sake of simplicity, to give her a tangible identity.

The work included the exhibition poster, several 1:1 scale aluminum "Paris" stands, the design of the exhibition space with labeled flags, a video animation incl. spherical-mystical soundtrack - handmade by Minz, showcase coloring and lettering, large-format canvas design, organization of the lighting, flyer & leporello as accompanying media, animations for photo frames, etc. The exhibition is on display at the Museum of Nature Lucerne until October 19, 2014.

Mé tells the story of the Workbays

The design agency Mé Mesmer Société stages "The New Office Space Workbays" for Vitra. Vitra is rethinking the office with the "New Office Concept".

The workbays by French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are an important part of this concept. As the basis for the latest publication for Vitra, Mé tested the system furniture herself. Claudia Klein photographed her in the process. The Zurich-based photographer's pictures show how Mé tests and experiences the "New Office Concept".

The publication "Workbays" is divided into three chapters in the form of separate booklets. The content, format and paper quality differ. The textbook "Read" contains information about the designers, the workbook "Workbays" presents and shows the workbays clearly and comprehensibly and the lookbook "Look" with pictures by Claudia Klein shows the Mé Experiment Workbays: Experience Workbays in 48 hours. Most of the models are Mé employees who have embarked on the Workbay experiment.

Hofer: Two nominations for German Design Award

Hofer was nominated by the «German Design Council» for the 2015 German Design Award for two projects: the potato mailing campaign developed on behalf of Energie Wasser Bern and the key visual for this year’s Thunersee Games.

Hofer used an unusual acquisition mailing to encourage companies to build a mini-eco power plant, thus drawing their attention to Energie Wasser Bern's offer and inviting them to the energy center (Werbewoche.ch reported).

When the local mountain Niesen becomes a pyramid: For the Thunerseespiele, Hofer let Egypt and the landscape around the lake go hand in hand and made it the perfect backdrop for the dramatic love triangle of this year's musical Aida.

The best marketing teams in Switzerland

In the first nationwide market survey, the Swiss Association for Marketing GFM and Gate B examined the state of marketing performance in Switzerland. The "champion" was Vitra.

The world is spinning ever faster, the competition for attention is getting tougher and people are ever more demanding: effective marketing has never been more important. In the first nationwide market survey, the Swiss Association for Marketing GFM and the consulting firm GateB investigated the state of marketing performance in Switzerland. The results are now available in a publication. A panel of experts from science and practice also selected the five best practical examples and named the Swiss furniture manufacturer Vitra the "Marketing Performance Champion 2014".

Good marketing performance leads to a strong brand. Marketing performance is the power of marketing. It is high when a strong market impact goes hand in hand with as little operational effort as possible and a low use of resources. This performance was measured in a large, nationwide online survey with over 120 participants. Subsequently, in-depth interviews were conducted with the marketing managers of the 15 best companies in the screening. The jury of ten proven experts from business, marketing, research and branding then identified Feldschlösschen, Vitra, Nutriswiss, Pfister and Interhome as the companies that were able to come up with particularly interesting or surprising solutions in terms of marketing performance.

Vitra is "Champion

The winner of the Marketing Performance Screening 2014 was ultimately chosen as the company that was able to impress with its excellent brand culture - the Swiss furniture manufacturer Vitra. According to the expert jury, the new Marketing Performance Champion was able to impress in the following areas: "The company manages to tell a credible brand story. In addition, Vitra makes sensible use of data analytics to address potential customers in a targeted manner and manages marketing processes highly efficiently via interacting teams."

"Marketing Performance" - Volume 1

According to the findings of the first Marketing Performance Screening 2014, Swiss companies are generally well equipped for the future. However, there is a lot of potential in data analytics and other operational marketing disciplines. All the key findings from the screening, the most interesting recommendations and trends from the Swiss marketing world, practical case studies and twelve tangible tips for improving marketing performance are now available in the 60-page publication: "Marketing Performance - how the best marketing teams in Switzerland work". The survey will now be conducted every two years in order to take the pulse of the Swiss marketing industry in the long term. This provides new insights, correlations and developments in relation to the marketing performance of Swiss companies over a long period of time.
