Vizner Borel: Denner revolutionizes the coffee market

The Vizner Borel agency is promoting Denner's coffee capsules, the most affordable in Switzerland.

Years ago, Denner was the first to launch an affordable alternative for enjoying coffee from capsules. Today, Denner is once again revolutionizing the coffee market with Noir Barista: at 18 centimes per capsule, Denner is now offering the cheapest coffee capsules in Switzerland. The communications agency ViznerBorel has staged this revolution in the coffee market in an appropriately loud way, making the coffee cup an icon for all those who demand fine coffee enjoyment at an affordable price. Customers are made aware of the revolution in advertisements and a TV commercial.

Swiss goes among the telecommunications providers

As part of its Swiss Choice service offering, Swiss is launching «Swiss Mobile,» its own prepaid SIM card, which is designed to enable customers to make calls and browse the Internet at attractive roaming rates worldwide.

Swiss connects Switzerland with the world not only with its flight services, but now also in the area of telecommunications. With "Swiss Mobile," the new international pre-paid SIM card, high roaming costs can be avoided when traveling abroad. According to the company, the card makes it possible to make phone calls and surf the Internet in more than 180 countries at low roaming rates and save up to 80 percent of the usual roaming costs. Phone calls, for example, can be made within the EU, South Africa or Australia for as little as 14 centimes per minute, while surfing costs 10 centimes per megabyte. Within Switzerland, phone calls cost 19 centimes per minute, and surfing also costs 10 centimes per megabyte. Incoming calls from over 50 countries are free of charge. Customers can also purchase data packages that allow them to surf the Internet at even more attractive prices.

The SIM card is supplied in all sizes and can therefore be used in different generations of mobile devices. The offer should not only be attractive for frequent travelers, but can also be used as a second card, for example for surfing with the tablet at home. It costs just under CHF 30, of which CHF 20 is a starting credit. It can be purchased online at Swiss.com/swiss-mobile or from November 1 in duty free sales on board. It is also possible to pre-order them for the next flight via the new Duty Free Pre-Order Service.

Serranetga: From zero to one million

Blickamabend.ch recently surpassed the one-million-unique-client mark. The Zurich-based agency Serranetga has supported the successful online portal from the very beginning and, together with Blick am Abend, developed an innovative social traffic strategy.

Social networks hold almost inexhaustible potential for news portals to gain additional reach and more traffic via the various digital channels. This is also where Blickamabend.ch an. The online portal is aimed primarily at a young and urban target group that consumes news via smartphones and social networks. The social communication strategy developed by Blick am Abend and Serranetga therefore focuses primarily on social traffic and high user engagement. Facebook and Twitter form the center of the digital communication strategy. In addition to versatile campaign management on these social networks, dynamic display advertising media were also designed, which are played and delivered in real time with current topics. Curating UGC (user-generated content) is also part of the strategy, which enabled Blick am Abend to attract not only many but also very active users to the platform.

Rouven Leuener, Head of Projects Digital Media at Ringier, on the collaboration: "After the successful launch campaign, Serranetga also helped us to reconcile media, creation and technology and build Blickamabend.ch into an innovative communication platform for a young audience."

Renzen: Umbrella campaign for Publiposte

Renzen is launching a new umbrella campaign to highlight the benefits of Publiposte, Swiss Post's advertising channel.

As an advertising channel, Publiposte generally enjoys a gratifyingly high level of awareness and a good reputation. However, when it comes to the specific offers and benefits compared to other advertising channels, there is still room for improvement in terms of awareness.

The new campaign, which was created by the Aarau-based communications agency Renzen, is designed to close this knowledge gap by getting to the heart of important core messages on striking yellow signs in shapes that match the message. The yellow signs have a clear signal effect and give the campaign a clear post-branding. The messages are straightforward and communicate a clear benefit: for example, the nationwide network (over 1600 post offices throughout Switzerland), the high customer frequency (over 545,000 contact opportunities per day), the differentiated booking options (local, regional or national) and the excellent price-performance ratio. So far, advertisements and web banners have been implemented. Further measures are in progress.

"We are proud that three of our projects are among this year's winners of the important Annual Multimedia Awards. The Annual Multimedia Award is specifically geared towards the digital industry and has been documenting the state of the art since 1996. It filters out pioneering work and provides answers to questions about current standards, opportunities and future prospects for digital brand communication.

Zehnder introduces working time recording

The Zehnder Media Group, based in Wil, SG, plans to introduce a time-tracking system for all journalists. The company is responding to a complaint filed by the Syndicom union and the Impressum journalists' association.

Zehnder Group publishes a total of 23 free weekly newspapers in 17 regions of German-speaking Switzerland, mainly in eastern Switzerland. On Monday, Syndicom and impressum had asked the labor inspectorates to clarify whether the recording of working hours at Zehnder Medien meets the minimum legal requirements. In a statement on Tuesday, Zehnder now announced that it would introduce its own standardized time recording system in all offices. This would make Zehnder Medien one of the first well-known publishing houses in Switzerland to record working hours.

Astonished about display

In the Swiss publishing industry, "it was and still is customary not to record the working hours of journalists," Zehnder writes. The fact that Syndicom and impressum have now chosen Zehnder Medien as the next company for their campaign, after the "big three" Tamedia, Ringier and NZZ, is surprising in two respects. First, Zehnder already records the working hours of some journalists, and second, Syndicom and impressum have never contacted Zehnder Medien about recording working hours. Zehnder writes that they would have been happy to show how far they had come in recording working hours and what experiences they had made. Now there is probably no hope for a collective industry solution. Zehnder Medien will therefore in any case introduce its own uniform system for recording working hours in all its offices.

Action "Now it hits 13

The advertisements were part of the series of actions "Jetzt schlägts 13" by Syndicom and Impressum. Since the beginning of the year, the media companies Tamedia, Ringier and NZZ had already been reported to the police for failing to record working hours and for suspected disregard of journalists' health protection (Werbewoche.ch reported). According to the associations, they tried several times to find collective solutions with the industry. For ten years, there has been no collective labor agreement in German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, they wrote. That is why journalists need the full protection of the labor law. This prescribes the recording of working hours. (SDA)

Enigma opens second location in Bern

The Geneva-based marketing agency Enigma is opening a second office in Bern. With this move, it is expanding its services to German-speaking Switzerland and providing a network of partners as well as a team of strategists, campaign managers, and designers.

The teams in Geneva and Bern work closely together, which should give Enigma the advantage of maximum flexibility across the language border. Olivier Perez Kennedy, CEO of Enigma, has teamed up with Martin Künzi, former Head of Marketing at The Salvation Army. Martin Künzi took The Salvation Army to the Eurovision Song Contest and won several marketing and communication awards during his career.

"Expanding in Switzerland gradually became indispensable for Enigma to shorten the physical distance with customers we work with. This is because, over time, our customer base has expanded beyond the borders of the French-speaking part of Switzerland. We see customer proximity as a key principle for success! Meeting Martin Künzi was a milestone. I found in him the perfect partner for this challenge. We chose Berne as our bridgehead into German-speaking Switzerland because it is the best way to cover a large area and to be close to our business partners," reports Olivier Perez Kennedy, CEO of Enigma.

Martin Künzi, Managing Director of the Bern site, explains further: "I got to know Olivier and with him the Enigma agency as CMO. Right from the start, I was enthusiastic about his innovative way of approaching communication projects. I am convinced that the integration of clients in the creation process will be the future of collaboration between agencies and companies. I'm honored to be part of the team and look forward to tackling the challenge of developing the agency beyond the Röstigraben!"

By positioning Sel des Alpes in a higher price segment than that of classic fine table salts and with the various special products for gourmets, the aim is to appeal to a discerning culinary public that values local products. The authenticity, Swiss origin and high quality of the product are the core elements that are taken up in the communication campaign. The slogan "The top Swiss salt" positions the brand unmistakably. The origin and unique character of Sel des Alpes is also trumpeted in the campaign hook - The Taste of the Alps - and in the visual elements of the campaign.

Branders: Comprehensive rebranding for Bindella

Branders brings distinctiveness and clarity to the long-established brand of the Zurich-based wine and dining company Bindella—a personal touch and authentic Italian flair define the new brand experience.

The Zurich-based family business Bindella commissioned Branders to manage a comprehensive and long-term brand mandate from strategy to implementation. Launched at the end of September, the brand identity focuses on the gastronomy and wine company's history of tradition and in-depth Italian expertise. The brand does not only appear in a renewed design, it also tells the typical Bindella stories of the passionate host and art collector Rudi Bindella, takes you to the family-owned vineyard in Tuscany and is completely dedicated to the claim "la vita è bella".

La_vita_e_bella

Since 1909 Bindella has established itself as a distributor of quality wines. It currently distributes around 550 wines from 45 producers, most of them from Italy. The family business also enjoys a good reputation as a host in its 40 Italian restaurants and, for some time now, as a wine producer in Tuscany. Now in its third generation, the company is personally managed by Rudi Bindella, who employs more than 1,200 people. This great tradition is to be additionally revived and made more visible. With a brand experience that conveys a unique Italian attitude to life: "la vita è bella". Together with Rudi Bindella, his sons Rudi Jr. and Adrian, as well as the Bindella team, the strategic foundations were created over several months in close cooperation with Branders, and the numerous facets of the brand were conceived.

Bindella_neue_Medien

In the new appearance, the Italian joie de vivre is to shine through at all points of contact. The combination of images, art and typography gives the Bindella brand an independent appearance. The family crest and the deliberate use of art underscore the lived tradition and personal commitment of the patron. The "new old logo" refers to the handwriting of Rudi Bindella's father. For the storytelling of the brand, own photo shoots and videos were realized, which express the attitude towards life. With the Bindella family and employees - authentically on location.

Printmedien_Vinario_2
Printmedien_Vinario_3

The brand will be perceptible in many applications: in company cars, in the wine catalog, on packaging, wine and olive oil labels, in advertisements, and in the completely changed online presence. The 40 restaurants deliberately retain their independent, local character and continue to be managed as individual brands with tradition.
