The PR Factory realizes appearance and website on the subject of card security

Just in time for the start of summer vacation, the police launched the new Card-security.ch website on July 1, 2015. The PR Factory developed the website’s visual design, logo, and content.

The Zurich agency The PR Factory created the new prevention website Card-security.ch for the police and various financial institutions. It focuses on the topics of card fraud and card security. The website provides tips on how to protect yourself against card fraud and what to do in an emergency.

KSI_Logo_CMYK_RZ

Card fraud is a common offense. According to police crime statistics, over 4,200 crimes involving debit and credit cards from Swiss providers were reported in 2014 alone. The best protection against this is to use your own account, debit or credit card securely. The police and financial institutions are therefore focusing on intensive prevention work and have launched Card-security.ch.

Fresh look for new website

The new website is the first central platform in Switzerland to provide detailed information on all card offenses. It has been implemented in four languages: German, French, Italian and English. The website is responsive and therefore also optimized for mobile devices. Its layout is clear and well-structured and offers the user intuitive user guidance. The visual appearance in the colors turquoise and yellow is an eye-catcher.
The PR Factory created this and the Card Security logo especially for the website. Card-security.ch will be launched on July 1, 2015 - just in time for the start of the vacations, as experience shows that card crime increases during this time.

City of Biel terminates contract with poster company

The city of Biel no longer wants to routinely extend the contract with Allgemeine Plakatgesellschaft APG by one year every year. It has terminated the contract for billposting on public land at the end of 2016 and is planning a new award procedure.

Biel's finance director Silvia Steidle said on Wednesday in response to an inquiry that the city of Biel is also hoping to generate additional revenue through this step. She thus supplemented a communication from the municipal council. The reallocation of the billposting contract is also an opportunity for the city to think about the regulation of cultural and political posters. According to Steidle, the contract between the city of Biel and APG has been in place since 1997 and expires at the end of 2016. The city of Lucerne also recently decided to re-award the poster contract in 2016 and put it out to tender. The city of Bern had already done the same in 2009 - but then awarded the contract to APG again. This company prevailed over its competitor Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO). (SDA)

Polyconsult: Everyone has what it takes to be a hero

Polyconsult's battery recycling campaign featuring the yellow-and-green superhero is moving into its next phase. While the focus so far has been on raising awareness and building a community, the campaign is now centered on engaging the target audience.

Battery-Man and his mission - to fight 30 million batteries that end up in the trash every year - have achieved a high level of awareness and acceptance in Switzerland. Since the superhero's first appearance in 2012, the recycling rate of batteries has increased from 67.1 percent
increased to 71.4 percent (2014).

And also on Facebook the superhero enjoys a following of over 37'000 Likers. Now the time had come to enlist these digital friends for his mission: via Facebook casting, Battery-Man searched for photo models and selected six sidekicks who now stand up for the good cause together with him on posters.

However, the main components of the new campaign are TV and online spots - they, too, with the overarching motto "There's a Battery Man in everyone." Spots and posters are in use from now until September 2016.

Siabatou from The Gambia not only won gold in Cannes with her moving marathon walk, but—more importantly—she also secured drinking water for many African villages.

In Africa, many women have to walk entire days to get clean drinking water for their families and their village. Distances that in the West are run as marathons for fun - once a year, not every day. Ogilvy Paris made creative use of this comparison and had Siabatou, one of the many women affected, march in the Paris Marathon in April 2015 on behalf of Water for Africa - with a clear message.

The organization Water for Africa drills sustainable water wells in villages in Africa, saving the inhabitants the daily, time-consuming struggle for clean drinking water. Ogilvy's campaign attracted a huge amount of media attention - the pictures of Siabatou went around the world. With success: on Themarathonwalker.com meters can be donated. Every time the marathon distance of 42 kilometers is reached, Water for Africa builds a new water source - five have already been built so far.

Hofer designs musical poster for Thunerseespiele

In just a few days, the Thunerseespiele—one of Switzerland’s largest open-air musical theater festivals—will kick off its 13th musical season. Hofer Kommunikation, however, is already looking ahead to next year and has designed the key visual and poster artwork for the 2016 festival.

Then the musical version of a great Hollywood classic will be performed: "Some like it hot". The subject stages two beauties: the backdrop of Lake Thun with its unique mountain panorama and, of course, Marilyn Monroe, who celebrated her last great successes with Billy Wilders' film comedy. The successful illustrative graphic style of recent years has been retained this year.

Jung von Matt/Limmat scores a viral hit for Blick with Xherdan Shaqiri as an aging coach, racking up a million views in under 72 hours.

With the freshly launched reader campaign "Heute ist alles drin.", the tabloid Blick is once again underlining its closeness to small and medium-sized businesses: These are the focus of "Heute ist alles drin. the focus is on small and medium-sized businesses. On a page set up especially for the campaign Microsite readers are given the opportunity to submit wishes. Blick has set itself the goal of fulfilling as many of them as possible. In the wish exchange, they can browse through the ads of all users and, with their help, fulfill the wishes of their fellow human beings.

Xherdan Shaqiri makes for 400 beaming faces

To kick off the campaign, Blick made an entire soccer club happy. On June 1, 2015, the C Juniors of SC Kriens took part in a "special training session. Believing that they were being trained by the legendary coach Hansueli Strasser, they put in a lot of effort and even endured stone-age physical exercises. But when the supposed trainer Strasser showed his class on the ball, the training took an unforgettable turn.

None other than national team star Xherdan Shaqiri was recruited for the event. He even took on the two and a half hours in the mask to give a total of 400 juniors and parents an unforgettable evening. After the big surprise, Shaqiri took plenty of time to sign the souvenir shirts produced by Blick and fulfill every selfie wish. The training session, which was scheduled to last 90 minutes, was captured by a 30-strong film crew led by renowned director Kai Sehr.

The video is spreading rapidly on social media and is attracting the attention of major media outlets around the world. Tageswoche-VR replaces two bosses with overall manager

At the Basler Tageswoche, the roles of management and editor-in-chief are being combined into a single position. It is not yet clear who will take on this new leadership role. However, the current heads of the newspaper are leaving.

Tageswoche intends to focus even more strongly on its digital business in future, announced Oscar Olano, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tageswoche publisher Neue Medien Basel, on Tuesday. In the editorial blog Mittendrin, he explained that the further implementation of the online-first strategy requires internal adjustments. For this reason, Managing Director Tobias Faust and current Editorial Director Dani Winter are leaving Tageswoche. Remo Leupin, currently still a member of the editorial team and Head of Print, will take over their duties on an interim basis until the end of September. At the beginning of October, Leupin will move to Migros Media in Zurich, as was announced on Monday.

Search for new overall manager

According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, it is still unclear who will take over the overall management of Tageswoche. The search will begin this week, Olano said on request. Managing Director Fust and Editorial Director Winter are parting ways by mutual agreement. Both have been released with immediate effect. Winter was part of the team that conceived TagesWoche, which was launched in October 2011. In 2013, he took over as editorial director with the task of implementing the change in strategy from print first to online first. According to Olano, other members of the editorial team are not affected by the restructuring. The Tageswoche editorial team has around 20 full-time positions, which are shared by 30 employees. The print edition, which supplements the online presence every week, will be retained, Olano continued. The advertising business will be spun off from Neue Medien Basel AG. Various options are currently being examined for this spin-off. (SDA)

Media Trend Award for Goldbach Media, Publisuisse and APG

The battle between Goldbach Media and Publisuisse for the title of best media marketer in the Swiss media market ended in a tie. Among media providers, APG was able to repeat its victory from the previous year.

The number of media companies polled for the Media Trend Award was two smaller than last year. There were 44 applicants in the media provider category, and 22 in the media marketer category (see box). Broken down into media genres, this means: 23 print media companies, 9 poster providers and 32 electronic media companies. Two do not fit into this grid. If you want to win the Media Trend Award, you have to convince both the top 750 advertising clients, the biggest advertising agencies and all media agencies with good performance in planning and handling media orders.

When querying the individual media companies, each respondent can decide for him/herself which company he/she wants to assess and which not. He/she is therefore not forced by the survey system to give an answer that he/she cannot or does not want to give at all. This differentiated assessment leads to a decrease in the number of incoming assessments and to individual companies receiving a different number of assessments. Naturally, larger companies or those that have been in the market for a long time receive more assessments than smaller ones.

Goldbach Media best media marketer - together with Publisuisse

Last year, it was already a close race between Goldbach Media and Publisuisse. Goldbach Media took the win with a slim lead of 0.06 score points. It clinched this victory through better scores in the two disciplines of "awareness" and "price/performance ratio," the same disciplines in which it again came out ahead of Publisuisse in 2015.

Bildschirmfoto-2015-06-29-um-15.15.08

The level of awareness corresponds to the number of marks a media company receives from its market partners (clients and agencies). In this year's survey, 226 clients and agencies rated at least one of the 12 electronic media marketers surveyed. 174 rated Goldbach Media and 137 Publisuisse. This results in a score of 7.70 for Goldbach Media and 6.06 for Publisuisse. Compared to last year, Publisuisse was able to catch up slightly in this discipline. Last year, Goldbach Media received 186 ratings and Publisuisse 142.

In terms of the overall impression of clients and advertising agencies, the average scores of both Goldbach Media and Publisuisse remained virtually unchanged from the previous year. In both disciplines, Publisuisse is 0.4 score points ahead of Goldbach Media.

There is more movement in the grading structure in the media agencies' assessment of individual services (service performance, consulting expertise and value for money). Both marketers were rated significantly lower for their services in 2015. Compared with 2014, both lost a whole grade point. Goldbach Media -0.5 for service, -0.3 for consulting and -0.25 for value for money. Publisuisse -0.2 for service, -0.66 for consulting and -0.15 for value for money. In comparison, third-placed Belcom is very well off with a loss of -0.2 grade points.

Publisuisse is clearly ahead of Goldbach Media in terms of service with a score of 8.00 (+0.96). In terms of consulting, its lead is +0.4 score points. And when it comes to value for money, Publisuisse's real Achilles' heel, Goldbach Media has to be content with a lead of +0.5 points.

In 1998, the media company was awarded for the first time. In 2000, the categories of media provider and media marketer were introduced. What the two big marketers can do, the smaller ones can do too

The synchronization of the two big marketers at the top of the rankings continues with the smaller ones. For the past two years, Belcom and Joiz have followed in third and fourth place, with a certain respect gap, but not a big one. Belcom is 0.43 points behind the top, and the gap between the two is just 0.06 points for the second year in a row.

Looking at the media agencies' ratings of the three individual services in total, Belcom comes out ahead of all the other marketers. Viewed individually, Belcom shines with the top score for its consulting expertise (7.79), Joiz with the second-best (7.53). Joiz is the marketer with the second-best services (7.76), Belcom the one with the third-best (7.68). Finally, Belcom also enjoys the second-best price-performance ratio (7.37) and Joiz the third-best (7.27).

The best online marketer is slowly advancing

Goldbach Audience has steadily worked its way up the rankings over the past three years. In 2013, it was still in 10th place behind Adello, the best online marketer at the time, with a score of 6.29. Last year, it slipped into the role of best online marketer itself and moved up to 7th place. And now Goldbach Audience is already in 5th place, just 0.2 score points away from a podium spot. The advance of Joiz and Goldbach Audience has pushed Mediabox out of third place. Since 2013, it has lost 0.4 rating points and subsequently three places. It is now ranked in 6th place.

The development at Publicitas is more encouraging. After the one-time winner of the Media Trend Award 2013 fell back to an uncomfortable 15th place, Publicitas regained its footing last year and improved its ranking to 12th. It has continued on this path this year and is now already back in 7th place.

The trend at Ringier TV (TF1, LandliebeTV) is the opposite. Its score has deteriorated by 0.35 score points since 2013. This meant that the 5th place of 2013 could no longer be maintained. It now finds itself in 8th place.

A word about the revived radio scene. Swiss Radioworld, which was launched two years ago, went to the start of the Media Trend Award far too early in 2014. A hopeless endeavor. The result was only 22nd place. This time, things went much better. With a score of 6.40, it moved into the top 10. This already brings back memories of old Radiotele times, when this rather small company succeeded several times in teasing the big ones and picking up the award.

APG best media provider for the second time in a row

A year ago, APG narrowly edged out the long-time winner (20 Minuten won the award seven times in a row) to enter the winners' list for the first time. This time, APG was able to clearly distance itself from its main rival. It once again made slight gains and, with a score of 8.09, was the only contender to achieve a score above 8.0 and thus the best score of all 66 media companies surveyed.

Only the scores for overall impression among clients (-0.07) and for awareness (-0.04) are slightly lower than in the previous year. APG was able to improve in all other disciplines: the overall impression among advertising agencies +0.14, services +0.28, consulting competence +0.04 and the price/performance ratio +0.06.

Bildschirmfoto-2015-06-29-um-15.14.58

20 minutes falls behind

The score sheet of the first runner-up, 20 Minuten, looks quite different. They were only able to gain in terms of clients (+0.07) and awareness (+0.18). In the other four disciplines, they had to accept losses: the overall impression among advertising agencies -0.33, services -0.18, consulting competence -0.32 and value for money -0.41. This pushed their overall score down by -0.17 to 7.8, just enough to leave Clear Channel, which is getting stronger again, just behind.

Clear Channel advances at the expense of NZZ

Last year, Clear Channel dropped two ranks (from 3rd to 5th). This time she made up for the lost ground. Not much was missing, 0.02 points, and she would have even placed second together with 20 minutes. At Clear Channel, the development is quite similar to APG. It achieved better scores in almost all disciplines, most clearly in awareness (+0.65). It has to swallow a drop of bitterness in the price/performance ratio (-0.32). This results in an overall score of 7.78, 0.14 better than in the previous year. This makes it the only top 10 media provider besides APG with an improved overall score.

And just as the scores of the two billboard providers are similar, the scores of the two top print media, 20 Minuten and NZZ, are very similar, just in the other direction.

The NZZ was only able to gain in awareness (+0.3) and maintain its very high score among clients (8.32). In the other disciplines, however, it suffered significant losses. Its overall score of 7.58 is thus -0.18 below that of the previous year.

The best online provider, 20min.ch, was tied back

In 2013, 20min.ch had moved up from far behind to fourth place as the best-rated online provider and was able to maintain this position last year. This year, they only lost one place. In terms of scores, however, they suffered an even greater setback than the two top print media, 20 Minuten and NZZ (-0.21 points). A lower score was achieved in all six disciplines. The biggest drop was in advisory skills (-0.49).

However, 20min.ch remains the only online provider to make it into the top 10. NZZ Netz, the second best, is only in 13th place. Google follows one place behind. Based on the results of the last few years, it doesn't look like they will make it to the top anytime soon. This year, Google was only able to improve its ranking for clients. In all other disciplines, the result was a minus.
Also still in the top 20 are Blick.ch/Blickamabend.ch and Search.ch, the latter being the only one with a better overall score.

The major print media maintain their good positions

If we look at the ranking positions 6 to 10 of the last few years, we see that these places are occupied, in different order but always by the same five print media. Their overall scores are very close. In 2015, the difference from sixth to tenth is only 0.13 grade points. In 2013, it was even lower (0.08).

Tamedia Magazines was ranked 6th twice in succession. The Ringier Blick Group also ranked 7th twice. This is followed by SonntagsZeitung, Axel Springer Publikumsmedien and Tamedia Tageszeitungen DCH. What these five print media have in common is that they lost significantly fewer score points in 2015 compared with 2014 than the two top print media ahead of them, 20 Minuten and NZZ.

It is extremely difficult to make a forecast about the further development. 20 Minuten is still out of reach of this group of 5. However, it could become dangerous for the NZZ next year. Its lead over the best of the group of 5, Tamedia Zeitschriften, is just 0.08 points.

Apple launches new music service

In streaming music, Apple is a late entrant that is up against many rivals. But the transformation of the business is only just beginning. According to previous information, Apple Music is expected to be available on Tuesday from 5 p.m. Central European Time.

This coincides with the release of a new version of the iOS mobile operating system. With the new music service, the iPhone company wants to regain the initiative in the business. Apple Music includes a streaming service where songs are played directly from the internet, as well as free internet radio. Apple has so far focused on selling music for download and is number one in this business. Streaming services only brought in a good tenth of the music industry's global revenue of around 15 billion dollars last year. However, they are becoming increasingly popular with users. It is by no means the first streaming service, Apple is more of a late entrant. However, the music industry is hoping that Apple can persuade its customers to pay a monthly subscription fee, while ad-financed free offers are more popular with current streaming services. For example, the current streaming market leader Spotify only has around 20 million paying subscription customers among its 75 million users. At the same time, industry managers emphasize that this is already a high proportion compared to other online businesses such as online games.

Unbenannt-10_63

Apple also has Android users in its sights

Apple is focusing on a broad market launch. The music service is to be available in more than 100 countries. In addition to the approximately 800 million customers with Apple devices, Apple also wants to attract users of smartphones with the Google Android system - there will also be an app for them in the fall. An important element of the subscription offer is the "Connect" section, in which musicians can offer new songs to their fans. At the launch, a new song by Pharrell Williams, among others, will initially only be available on Apple. Musicians such as Dr. Dre and Elton John will have their own radio shows. (SDA)
