Carlos Leal auctions off supporting actor

In advertising, it is used to illustrate that some mobile subscriptions are cheat packages. Now it is being used for a good cause: The Muscle Car without Muscles from the UPC Cablecom TV commercial is being auctioned on Autoricardo.ch.

And although the car has nothing under the hood, there is a lot of bidding going on. Good thing, because the proceeds of the auction will be donated to the "Lessons for Life" foundation, which provides schooling for children in Africa. Therefore, UPC Cablecom, the responsible agency Scholz & Friends and cooperation partner Autoricardo.ch are looking forward to many more bids. Anyone who would like to bid or simply see the status of the auction can visit the here do

A piece of Hollywood in Burgdorf

Where a bank once operated, advertisements are now produced. Since June 2015, Blue Box Recording Studios has been located at Technikumstrasse 2 in Burgdorf.

The venerable building above the Franz Gertsch Museum is familiar to many Burgdorf residents. Built in the 19th century, it was home to the Amtsersparniskasse Burgdorf (AEK) for a long time. Recently, the German dubbing voices of Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts and other Hollywood stars have been heard from the rooms. Who is the new tenant?

"We moved our recording studios here at the beginning of June. After almost 20 years in business on Bernstrasse in Burgdorf, we have found the ideal premises here. The additional space we have gained in Burgdorf has prompted us to close our small branch in Bern. We are delighted with the great location in the center of Burgdorf," says Martin Lehmann, Managing Director of Blue Box Tonstudios. Behind the thick sandstone walls, the studios are busy producing. However, it is not music bands that are recorded here, but voice recordings for various media or online, TV, cinema and radio commercials. And in 55 languages on request. Clients include local radio stations, advertising agencies and small regional companies as well as major national corporations.

IMG_2535

And where can you hear Bruce Willis' voice now? Martin Lehmann: "Prominent German dubbing voices of Hollywood stars are often requested for commercials or telephone announcements. The voice of Bruce Willis is one of the most popular. It has a very strong character and gives an advertisement that certain something. We have also worked on various projects with the dubbing voices of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Spacey and Eddie Murphy. However, these voice actors do not come to us in Burgdorf, but record the texts in one of our partner sound studios in Germany. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the recording studios are linked during the recording process. We can record and direct the dubbing voices in the best quality in real time." Bluebox also works with well-known actors and voice actors from all over Switzerland. In contrast to the dubbing actors, they can actually be found in Burgdorf. Blue Box creates advertising and acoustic identity for brands and companies.

Sunshine Radio in a new dress

Sunshine Radio, a private radio station in Central Switzerland, is now presenting itself as even more modern, urban, and entertaining. The new logo and jingles are designed to double-emphasize this.

Sunshine Radio is not just putting on a new summer dress. The claims "News & Hits für d'Zentralschwiz" and "Let the Sunshine in" stand for lifestyle, core values, modernity and the region at the same time, according to the statement. Sunshine Radio wants to represent the urban Central Switzerland even better with the consistent innovations. On Friday, 26.06.2015, the new logo was unveiled on the Kapellplatz, during the Lucerne Festival, in Lucerne.

lancierung_logo_sunshineradio_27.06.2015

The claim "News & Hits für d'Zentralschwiiz" sets the main direction of the program. Sunshine consistently plays hits of the modern era. The content with news and stories is entirely geared to Central Switzerland. This means that anyone who listens to Sunshine Radio knows what's going on in Central Switzerland - but world events that interest Central Switzerland are also important.

The second claim, "Let the Sunshine in," is not only a "retro trend" and reminiscent of courageous radio pioneers. "Let the Sunshine in" also stands for the fresh, cheeky, friendly entertainment and rubrics that help define the program. Music plays a central role. The new morning show "Sunny Side up", gets the Central Swiss into the day - the following show "Hitarbeiter" gets Central Switzerland through the working day in a motivating way - and the evening show "Sunshine Feierabend" celebrates the end of the day, which the listeners truly deserve. Sunshine Radio aims to be the perfect informative, fresh and entertaining companion throughout the day. What's happening in the region and the world? Which club is hot right now? What's the top story of the day? Who's topping the charts? Which celebrity just became a father? What does the new album by ... sound like? Sunshine Radio has the answers ready every day.

In cooperation with the internationally renowned Dutch company Pure Jingles, the latest jingles were created, sung by Caroline Chevin, among others. The new Sunshine Radio is joined by the professional male station Voice, known from films, series and television. Sunshine Radio thus gets the voice and the sound that the hit radio station of Central Switzerland always wanted.

To visually support the new program, a new logo was designed in collaboration with the Lucerne design agency Wave. The lettering "Sunshine Radio", as the name, is the most important element in the new logo, which is kept in simple 2 colors, blue and yellow.

Hot guerrilla action for the C4

As part of a guerrilla marketing campaign, Franz & René turned cars from other brands into advertising platforms for the Citroën C4 Cactus.

The C4 Cactus sun visor will be distributed on hot days in June in eight major Swiss cities to motorists who park their cars around the large swimming pools and lidos. A gift with a surprise effect, as it changes its appearance thanks to a special ink that disappears at 45°C.

C4CACTUS_3

As soon as the ink has disappeared, the following message appears: "My next car? A Citroën C4 Cactus." Back at his car, the driver realizes that his vehicle has become an advertising medium for another car brand. The German, Spanish, Japanese or American car brands thus become ambassadors for Citroën without their knowledge. Continuing its playful approach, the brand with the double angles launches a competition with lots of prizes for the hot summer days.

Step by step into a health profession

Matter Gretener Lesch is launching a recruitment campaign for the Careum Education Center.

Nursing professions have their finger on the pulse of life, and health professionals who are willing to perform are in high demand. That is why the Careum Education Center is now offering part-time training to become a certified nursing specialist HF.

This is precisely what the campaign that Matter Gretener Lesch created for its long-standing client dramatizes. It visualizes the gradual change from the old to the new profession in a strikingly simple way: with one foot (or shoe), the future health professionals are still in their old, mostly commercial job, with the other already in their new one.

Online advertising spend converges with TV

The IAB Europe Ad Ex Benchmark 2014 Report shows an increase of 11.8 percent. This makes it the second-largest media category, just slightly behind TV.

The IAB Europe, in collaboration with IHS Technology, has published the Ad Ex Benchmark 2014 Report, the guide to the European online advertising market. The report provides a comprehensive overview of online advertising spend in Europe, which is growing, attracting global startups. Digital ad spend is increasingly gaining traction across regions, highlighting the growing importance of the digital economy in Europe in a global context.

This year, the report shows that in 2014, online advertising expenditure again grew in the double digits for the fifth year in succession, by 11.8 percent to a market value of EUR 30.7 billion. This underscores online advertising's market position as the second-largest media category, just behind TV.

Of particular note is that all markets are reporting positive growth, not just the strongly developing digital markets. Mature markets have benefited greatly from improvements in digital advertising formats, targeting capabilities, and improved data strategies, contributing significantly to growth in the industry and also demonstrating the sustainability of the digital advertising industry.

University study on Swiss online advertising market

Companies are increasingly placing their ads online. As a result, advertising budgets are shifting largely to the Internet. Facebook, in particular, is gaining popularity among advertising professionals. This is shown by a survey conducted by the University of Geneva.

According to the survey, online advertising media accounted for around 70% of budget preferences. Advertisers placed their ads primarily via Facebook, traditional websites, but also via search engines and YouTube. In terms of traditional advertising, public television is in the lead.

In the analysis of the survey, the shift towards online channels is described as a medium-term trend. The upheavals are significant because the new players are taking over more than two thirds of the market, the researchers found.

Assuming that the Swiss advertising market stabilizes at around five billion francs, this means that the sector of the new digital players would increase from 642 million francs to around three billion francs. The change would therefore be more than two billion and would be at the expense of the traditional media, in particular the print press, the authors conclude.

Alternative to Google

However, they also emphasize that this scenario is not a forecast, but a description of a trend. Four scenarios were developed. In one of the scenarios, SRG SSR is expected to gain access to digital advertising. This would make the company a key element in the Swiss digital advertising market and an alternative to new players such as Google and Facebook.

A significant proportion of advertising money flows into foreign advertising windows. According to the authors, the abolition of these windows would therefore be tantamount to a considerable windfall for the other channels. However, according to the authors, the Swiss media can only be saved thanks to framework conditions for both the private and public sectors. The authors do not explain how these should be structured.

Almost 600 companies were contacted for the study and 196, or just under a third, responded to the survey.

Wölzgott innovative - the new Appenzell print shop

Three long-established printing companies from Appenzell Innerrhoden and Ausserrhoden have merged and are now operating jointly under the name Appenzeller Druckerei. The agency am Flughafen in Altenrhein is responsible for the new brand identity.

Three Appenzell companies from Inner and Ausserrhoden have decided to no longer go their separate ways: the commercial printing divisions of Druckerei Appenzeller Volksfreund (DAV) from Appenzell, Appenzeller Medienhaus from Herisau, founded in 1837, and Kunz-Druck & Co. AG from Teufen. Since April 1, 2015, they have been operating across borders under the name Appenzeller Druckerei.

The historic merger has created one of the most modern print shops in Switzerland, with a particular track record in UV coating. Nevertheless, tradition and Appenzell origins will be preserved under the new brand. Because what welds the hundred or so employees together, according to Friday's announcement, is "the irrepressible belief in the unique qualities of both cantons: honesty, down-to-earthness, precision, diligence, craftsmanship, commitment, perseverance, curiosity and an outstanding inventive spirit."

The combination of tradition and modernity was the guiding principle under which the airport agency developed the Brand Moments for the Appenzeller Druckerei. The creatives from Altenrhein created a brand world of filigree silhouettes, as known from the motifs of traditional Appenzell alpine elevators.

Saatchi & Saatchi goes through fire for a beer

The Zurich-based agency handles communications and advertising in Switzerland for the Belgian abbey beer Grimbergen.

Even 887 years ago, the monks of the Belgian abbey of Grimbergen appreciated good beer and brewed it themselves. Three devastating fires could not deter them from their passion for brewing. Each time, they rebuilt their abbey and made the phoenix rising from its ashes their trademark.

Beer lovers can find Grimbergen Abteibiere in its various creations mainly in bars and restaurants in German-speaking Switzerland. Saatchi & Saatchi Zurich is responsible for the communication of the beer brand in this country. Initial measures include the launch of the Websiteonline marketing, social media and advertising.
