KSB designs annual and quality report of the Hirslanden private hospital group

This year's annual report of the Hirslanden private hospital group was also conceived and designed by Krieg Schlupp Bürge. For the first time in Hirslanden's history, a quality report for the past financial year was published in addition to the classic annual report.

The Hirslanden claim, which has been in use since the beginning of 2009, has been recharged, according to the statement: When it's all about everything. Because when it's all about everything, in Hirslanden's case that means health, quality is not a luxury.
The 2009/10 Annual Report documents everything that happens at the same time in the 13 Hirslanden clinics. How Hirslanden employees fulfill the Hirslanden performance promise around the clock, every day. At any time of day or night. Every minute. At 14:19, for example.

SF with children's program in the afternoon in future Sottens transmitter to be switched off

In the future, Swiss television will be allowed to broadcast a children's program daily in the late afternoon on SF zwei. On Wednesday, the Federal Council established the legal framework for this under licensing law.

Important sporting events taking place at the same time may be broadcast by SRG on SF info, as the Federal Office of Communications (Bakom) announced according to SDA.
The Federal Council has also granted permission to switch off the last medium-wave transmitter operated by the SRG at the end of the year. This is the transmitter in Sottens in the canton of Vaud, from where the SRG broadcasts the Option musique program on French-speaking Swiss radio. Option musique can be received throughout French-speaking Switzerland via DAB digital radio, cable or satellite.
SRG is abandoning analog medium wave because the technology is considered outdated and inefficient. The switch-off is also a consequence of the stricter limits for non-ionizing radiation (NIR). According to Sottens, it would lead to a reduction in transmitter power. However, this would also mean that the quality of supply would be inadequate. Almost two years ago, the legendary "Landessender Beromünster" transmitter was shut down for the same reasons.

3sat Switzerland: Barbara Riesen becomes Editorial Director

Frank Hubrath is leaving Swiss Television (SF) at the end of October. He has worked for SF since 2002 as Editorial Director of 3sat Switzerland. He will be succeeded with immediate effect by the current deputy editorial director Barbara Riesen.

The exchange and networking of the 3sat program with the specialist areas of SRF's culture department is to be intensified. The aim is to link 3sat more closely with new areas and to respond better to current needs. The management is to be more closely linked to the department management as a staff position.
Rajan Autze will be the new program planner at 3sat Switzerland from January 1, 2011. He will also take over as deputy head of the staff unit.

Press Council: Dignitas boss successfully complains about NZZ am Sonntag

The NZZ am Sonntag has breached its duty to consult and its duty to correct. The Swiss Press Council has partially approved a complaint by Dignitas boss Ludwig A. Minelli, as the Council announced on Tuesday.

The conflict revolves around reports in the NZZ am Sonntag newspaper last May. It was reported that Dignitas had disregarded the last wishes of an 81-year-old woman who ended her life with the help of the organization. The ashes of the deceased were not sent to her home in northern Germany and buried there, as the woman had wanted. Instead, the urn was dumped in Lake Zurich.
After the report appeared, Minelli demanded a correction: It was not true that he had disregarded the woman's last wishes, he wrote, and also provided written evidence of this. Minelli's objection was included in the following edition of the newspaper, but was immediately countered by a former dying woman who confirmed that the last wishes had been violated.

Two out of three points approved
Minelli claimed to the Press Council that he had not had the opportunity to comment in advance. In addition, the duty to correct had been violated and the credibility of the former Dignitas employees had not been sufficiently verified. On the last point, the Press Council found no violation of the guidelines, as it writes. However, it approved the other two points.
Although the journalist had repeatedly asked to speak to Minelli, he had never said what it was about. According to the Press Council, this would have been essential in view of the seriousness of the allegations. The obligation to be heard was therefore breached. According to the Press Council, the duty to correct was also breached: The newspaper should have made it unmistakably clear to readers that, as set out in writing, the original funeral wishes had been changed. It would have had the opportunity, "based on its sources", to question the conclusiveness of the order at the same time.

Last but not least: carrots can be so cool

With the help of the advertising pros at Crispin Porter & Bogusky, U.S. carrot farmers are trying to establish the mini-carrot as a snack. But how on earth do you get kids to eat this healthy little thing? The only option: the carrot has to become cool.

The strategy:
Firstly: Optimal camouflage. When choosing the product, the kids must not immediately recognize that it is something healthy. The packaging therefore resembles a bag of potato chips. Secondly, a cool campaign that establishes a link to the coveted junk food. The "Eatem like junkfood" campaign includes a wacky TV commercial in which the mini carrots are shot through the air.

The whole thing is supported by a Online presencewhere you can download the hit "Karrüt Krüünch Track", among others. Somewhere there is also information about the nutritional value of the carrots. But if you click on it, the warning "Dude. For real?". The user then has to confirm several times that they really want to read this boring stuff. If they click through, the information flutters down with a disco ball, accompanied by dancing mini-carrots. There is also a free game for the iPhone where you have to nibble on as many carrots as possible. It's worth a visit to the website. Very cool indeed!
