High voltage: wild subjects created with make-up

In November, the Visagistique Makeup School chose the Zurich-based advertising agency Hochspannung to raise awareness of its course offerings and makeup bar. Among other things, the agency has now designed a new advertising campaign under the slogan «Give Others a Face.».

From this, the slogan "Gib dir ein Gesicht" (Give yourself a face) was derived to advertise the make-up bar located in the same place. The subjects of the new campaign were created by the Zurich advertising agency Hochspannung. Make-up served as the creative element, first and foremost cosmetic powder, which creates faces as if out of thin air. To ensure a perfect visual implementation, the agency engaged photographer Sandro Diener and as well as Linus Schneider from Pixelprinz.

The subjects are used in and around Kloten as posters and cinema slides. Furthermore, flyers and mailings are used to draw attention to Visagistique. All advertising measures lead to the newly created website Visagistique.com, where all offers can be found.

Juso lawsuit: proceedings against Weltwoche publisher Köppel dropped

Roger Köppel will not have to answer for violating the criminal law on racism after all. The Zurich-Limmat public prosecutor's office has dropped the case after the Juso accused the head of Weltwoche of discriminating against Muslims.

Köppel made comments on Islam, Muslims and the minaret initiative in the program TalkTäglich and in several articles in Weltwoche. In the eyes of the Young Socialists (Juso), he made racist statements and systematically disparaged and slandered Muslims. The Young Party therefore filed charges against Köppel in December 2009 for violating the anti-racism penal norm.

The Zurich-Limmat public prosecutor's office has now dropped the case, as the JUSO announced on Friday. The public prosecutor responsible, Lino Esseiva, confirmed the closure to the SDA news agency. In the discontinuation order, which is available to SDA, the public prosecutor's office justifies the decision by stating, among other things, that Köppel had not denied any Muslim equal rights or equal value as a human being. There was no evidence of a criminal offense. This was because there was no intensity or inflammatory element. It must be permissible to establish a relationship between Islam and Islamism or Islamism and terror.

The Juso are disappointed. Catch the little ones, let the big ones go, they write in their press release. Köppel can apparently afford a whole army of lawyers to protect him from the law. It remains to be seen whether the party will take the case further.

Last but not least: "It's gotten a little longer ... but it wears well!"

Journalist talk, consultant talk or developer talk - these are the names of new Facebook groups in which people post the most common sayings and phrases from their industry.

What sounds banal actually conceals a risk of addiction that should not be underestimated - once you start tracking down the real pearls of gossip, it can be difficult to stop. And it is certainly only a matter of time before all major industries are represented by a group. Advertising speak, for example, almost suggests itself, but construction worker speak or marketing manager speak would certainly also be interesting ...

Exxtra: Audi A1 Sport Rally launched

Exxtra developed a game for the new Audi A1 Sport that is designed to be a lot of fun and to showcase the advantages of this agile powerhouse.

Aim of the Rally is to "drive" the 185-hp car as quickly as possible along the specified course - by rolling the dice with the new Audi A1 Sport gearshift. Correct answers to question fields earn extra points, and event fields make the whole thing an adventurous undertaking; sometimes they bring the driver all the way to the front thanks to lucky circumstances, sometimes they annoyingly throw him far back. 185 drivers have a place on the ranking list. Those who can stay on it for more than 3 laps will take part in the big draw. Switzerland in Audi A1 rally fever: The traffic lights are green!

Study: Organized Crime Greater Threat to Media than Repressive Political Regimes

According to Reporters Without Borders, organized crime poses a greater threat to the media than repressive political regimes. In the past ten years, 141 journalists worldwide have died as a result of violence by organized gangs.

"Mafia organizations and criminal cartels are the greatest threat to global media freedom", according to a study by Reporters Without Borders, according to the SDA news agency. The persecution of journalists by organized gangs is at its worst in Mexico. There alone, 69 journalists have been killed in the past decade and eleven more are missing.

At the same time, the study points to the media's problems in properly uncovering the evil of organized crime. It is a powerful parallel economy with enormous influence. Not least in view of the dangers, the media are content with merely "superficial reporting". Instead of revealing the background to the threats, the media sometimes limit themselves to merely disseminating mutual accusations from rival gangs and information from official sources.
