Last but not least: Miss Luxury recommends

It really can't be that a jewel like this is left to vegetate unappreciated on the Autop Stützliwösch website and slowly but surely fall into oblivion - it simply doesn't deserve that.

We're talking about the appearance of self-proclaimed jet-set lady Vera Dillier in a luxury-class commercial. Self-confident, natural, spontaneous and with a little splash of lasciviousness, she swings her blonde hair while explaining to the interested viewer why she likes to have her car washed at Stützliwösch before going out. We say: so terribly bad that it hurts. And that you simply can't help but watch. But it's best to make up your own mind:

Kuoni Brand Report appears as a feature article

On March 22, 2011, Kuoni published its 2010 annual report in the form of a daily newspaper. Within the report, the Brand Report serves as a standalone section, similar to a culture section.

The Brand Report offers a compilation of texts on tourism. Renowned authors, essayists and academics such as Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Orhan Pamuk, Thomas Steinfeld, Wolfgang Scheppe and Simonetta Carbonaro are represented with contributions, as Kuoni writes in a press release on Wednesday.

The starting point for this year's Brand Report was the third Kuoni Getaway Council held in Venice in November 2010. There, travelers and thinkers discussed tourism and laid the foundations for a comprehensive reflection on the future of the industry. The interim result of this discursive debate with more than two dozen articles is now presented in the Brand Report. The Feuilleton was the perfect place to present this discussion, not least because the newspaper's minimalist design makes a statement in favor of the most effective communication.

The brand report will also be published on the website The-detourist-100.org (German version) invite an open dialog about the future of travel and do not represent a conclusive theory of travel in the 21st century.

Out for BBC in Russian

After 65 years, the British broadcaster BBC is discontinuing its radio programming in Russian for financial reasons.

BBC Russia will only be available on the Internet from this Friday, the broadcaster announced in London on Wednesday, according to SDA. The British government cut subsidies for the public broadcaster BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) in January. The programs in Chinese and Ukrainian will also be discontinued. Jobs are being cut at many locations around the world and in the UK. The BBC had also announced that it would focus more on modern media such as the internet.

BBC Russia has an eventful history - always characterized by the often difficult relationship between Russia and Great Britain. The program went on air on 26 March 1946. During the Cold War from 1949 to 1987, the station was repeatedly disrupted by the Soviet authorities. Despite this, the BBC claimed to have millions of listeners. But there was also criticism: the station was said repeatedly to be too reserved towards the Kremlin.

From 1992 onwards, BBC Russia worked more closely with Russian media and BBC programs were also broadcast on other channels. When relations between the two countries cooled down again - after the Russian ex-secret agent and Kremlin critic Alexander Litvinenko was murdered in London - cooperation became increasingly difficult, employees report. Winterthur: Large-scale advertising on buses annoys passengers

Winterthur bus passengers insist on a view: Stadtbus has recently had to accept numerous complaints about the large-scale advertising on the buses. The full stickers on the doors are the main cause of complaints.

Stadtbus is now examining how these complaints can be taken into account, writes the city council according to SDA in a response to a written question from the AL. As a countermeasure to the critical customer reactions, some of the window banners have already been removed. In the new buses, the articulated zone is also transparent, so that the brightness inside the bus is increased. However, the City Council notes that the advertisements on the buses have already been significantly improved compared to the past. For the city council, meeting customer demands is also "in tension with the strategy of generating extensive additional revenues."
