Last but not least: Udo Jürgens' merciless reckoning with the digital world

Udo Jürgens, who once sang leisurely about New York, Greek wine, and cream, is now showing his socially critical side and taking a hard look at the digital world in a new song.

For example, the naked scanners at the airport, the tax evader CDs and Facebook have nothing to laugh about: "At the airport, you'll be scanned right down to your big toe, and your bank account details will soon be available on CD, the only thing missing is your liver values on Facebook." And villain Google doesn't get off scot-free either: "The world is a Google, nothing remains secret anymore, whether it's your apartment, house or garden, everyone is looking into it." Even Twitter is not spared by the pop star: "You tweet very openly, you reveal everything about yourself, the biggest crap, the smallest shit."

Well, it's understandable that this modern computer gizmo is a bit much for a 76-year-old gentleman. But does that mean you have to write a song about it? And if you do it anyway, do you have to rhyme so badly that it constricts all your senses when you read/listen to it? And why does Mr. Jürgens have his own Facebook pagewhen he thinks Facebook is so stupid? Questions upon questions that only the artist himself can answer.

High voltage lets vote for Big

After last year's catwalk campaign "Life is a catwalk", the Zurich fashion store Big is launching the big street and club voting in Zurich this year.

As every year, the campaign kicks off with a poster campaign showcasing the spring and summer collections. The subjects show what has always happened every day on Zurich's streets: people "vote" and people are "voted". What otherwise only goes on in people's heads is now shown one-to-one by Big, with the model receiving the highest score of 10 for look and outfit from bystanders.

The "Voting" concept will accompany this year's Big advertising measures on several levels. Actions in clubs and on Zurich's streets and squares are already being planned. Various guerrilla actions will certainly cause a stir, according to the press release. The subjects can currently be seen in and around Zurich on billboards, on e-boards and in cinemas as well as on advertisements and at POS.

Responsible at Big: Sylvie Gablinger, Silvia Klein. Responsible at Hochspannung, Zurich: Tom Fäh, Marco Huber, Matthew Katumba, Julian Murer, Elisa Stahel, Alex Taiganidis, Angela van der Sman. Photographer: Pierluigi Macor.

The advertising week on Star TV: Sporty into spring with Sport XX

The concept behind the commercial created by Inhalt&Form for Sport XX skillfully combines a bold and surprising story with seasonal product expertise and sales.

And thus ensures more movement at the box office in a double sense. The film production company Solid & Hallerfilm was responsible for the visual realization.

You can see the spot of the week and the accompanying making-of on Thursday at 7.45 pm in "Die Werbewoche" on Star TV.

In addition, MTV will place greater emphasis on Swiss artists and Swiss music in the future, and Viva will be expanded to a 24-hour service on digital TV.

Comedy Central will be available every day from 20.15 following the Nickelodeon Switzerland program. The comedy format will also act as a platform for Swiss comedians and thus close a gap in the Swiss television landscape, according to a statement on Wednesday.

To coincide with the Comedy Central launch, MTV will be placing a greater focus on Swiss artists and Swiss music in future. In "Brand:neu", MTV station boss and presenter Jubaira Bachmann invites Swiss pop stars to talk about their latest projects and with "Brand:neu Swiss Made" there will be an extra dose of Swiss music clips every week.

At the same time, Viva will be expanded into a 24-hour digital TV offering.
