Last but not least: Well, Mr. Clooney, how does that feel?

Solidar Suisse takes aim at Nespresso testimonial George Cooneye: with a parody of an advertising spot for Nestlé's coffee capsules, the Swiss aid project is calling on the large corporation to include fair trade coffee in its product range.

The film takes the mickey out of the Nespresso spotin which Clooney is hit by a piano that has fallen from the sky - he then has to hand in his Nespresso capsules in heaven if he wants to return to life. In the parody, the heartthrob doesn't fare quite as well as in the original - but see for yourself:

Start of TF1's Swiss advertising window

Swiss publisher Ringier and TF1, the most-watched private French broadcaster in French-speaking Switzerland, launched the first commercial breaks on the Swiss channel’s frequency on Saturday. This is part of the pre-launch phase, featuring blocks placed around news programs to ensure advertisers receive the highest-quality airtime possible.

The effective launch of the full offer with longer feeds will take place at the beginning of 2012 to meet market demand. Initial reactions from the market have been very positive so far, according to a Ringier communiqué from the Ringier Romandie marketing team. The station's positioning, as well as the services planned by the director, would be viewed particularly positively by those advertisers looking for new ways to reach the entire French-speaking Swiss clientele.

Patrick Zanello, head of advertising at Ringier Romandie, is pleased to report that talks are already underway with advertising clients from the banking, watchmaking and cosmetics industries, for example, about projects for 2012. The dialog on quality between the advertising agencies and the marketing team is also in full swing. The marketing team is now fully staffed with one agency in German-speaking Switzerland (Zurich) and one in French-speaking Switzerland. An expansion of the range is planned for the next few weeks and further innovations are to be announced.

Last but not least: Will SRG soon have a Radio 1?

SRG is reviewing its brand architecture. Internal and external branding experts are brainstorming a new name.

The brand architecture is being reviewed due to the merger of radio and television. This is confirmed by Alex Hefter, Creative Director and Head of Design, according to Sonntagonline.ch. A first internal SRG workshop has already taken place. Now a second one is imminent. Although the development of the brands is done in-house, second opinions are obtained from outside, says Hefter. External brand experts also take part in the workshops. Apparently, the signs are pointing to a new name, as Sonntagonline.ch writes further. A new name would be the fifth renaming in 25 years. The SRG brand specialists are apparently particularly impressed by the BBC concept. Their radio stations are simply called "BBC Radio 1" to "BBC Radio 5". SRG is now examining whether the current DRS stations can be numbered "Radio 1", "Radio 2" etc. in the same way.
There's just one catch: "Radio 1" already exists. And the station is owned by long-time SRG critic and, more recently, Swiss television talk show host Roger Schawinski. According to Sonntagonline.ch he says that he is aware of these considerations. However, he has not received an official request. But Schawinski would not sell his brand lightly either: He could not "even theoretically imagine such a creatively immoral offer", he says. He would already have a free solution ready for SRG: it would simply have to start counting with Radio 2. A suggestion that is unlikely to be put into practice.
However, nothing would stand in the way of standardizing the umbrella brand SRF (Swiss Radio and Television). The television channels would therefore now be called "SRF 1" and "SRF 2" instead of "SF 1" and "SF 2". However, the SRF brand could also stand for the entire range of radio, television and Internet services. According to Hefter, nothing has been decided yet, but a change in the brand architecture would be advantageous this year, as television will switch to the new HD standard in 2012. The "TV experience like in the cinema: with high picture resolution, widescreen format and surround sound", as the company's own advertising puts it.

A-words.ch / Text & Design: Search for a construction site professional

The Winterthur-based communications agency A-words.ch / Text & Design has developed a new approach to recruiting management personnel in the construction industry for SK Consulting and launched a cross-media campaign. The campaign centers on a clearly structured landing page and the first “construction-themed cocktail party by the pool.”.

The search for qualified management personnel in the construction industry is currently a challenge; the market for first-class trained specialists and managers is increasingly drying up. Against this backdrop, SK Consulting, which specializes in personnel management consulting, has entrusted A-words.ch / Text & Design with the development of an advertising campaign. Interested parties are made aware of the landing page by means of print and online advertisements as well as billboards and flyers, and are also addressed with elements of viral marketing.

The corresponding message is: "Swiss foremen, construction managers and project managers are now meeting at www.baustellenprofi.ch." In addition, the 1st construction aperitif by the pool is intended to act as an attraction, according to a statement from the agency. On the landing page, visitors can immerse themselves in the modern world of construction sites and are then given clear guidance: To the registration for the 1st Construction Apéro at the pool, to the contact form for information on a current management position and to the new Facebook page "Baustellenprofi". The aim of the campaign is to establish contact, exchange ideas and network.

Responsible at SK Consulting: Susanne Kuntner (personnel and management consultant). Responsible at A-words.ch / Text & Design: Eva Kesper-Wegelin (graphic design), André Kesper (idea, concept, text). Web programming: Escapenet.

Y&R Group: T-shirts with built-in sun alarm

The Y&R Group has designed a T-shirt with a UV-sensitive print for Migros' Sun Look line. The shirts are equipped with a built-in sun alert.

UV-sensitive color is the secret: the greater the sun exposure, the redder the initially invisible "sun alert" print on the white T-shirts becomes. If the sunlight is very strong, the print literally burns and turns cancer red. The distribution campaign was specially timed and carried out on the occasion of the "Openair Gampel".

The T-shirts were distributed to festival visitors together with Sun Look sunscreen samples by promoters. The T-shirts were in great demand and sold out within half an hour.

Responsible at Migros: Jürg Spring (Head of Label/Brand Management), Nadine Hess (Project Manager Non Food). Responsible Y&R Group: Markus Gut (CCO), Thomas Engeli (CD), Patrick Bucher (concept/text), Oliver Glutz von Blotzheim (AD), Joelle Hauser (design), Susan Baumgartner (consulting), Pamela Gemperli (promotion allaccess).
