Unikom sets the scene for Sky Work Airlines employees

At the beginning of the year, the Bern-based airline introduced new uniforms. Accordingly, Unikom updated the existing visual elements in the company’s current communications.

With the claim: "your personal way to fly", Sky Work Airlines wants to define its service mission to the customer. In the new concept, Unikom now relates this to the airline itself. As a result, SkyWork Airlines employees were cast for the photo shoot.

35 image subjects were produced for use in outdoor advertising, print and online media in Switzerland and abroad. 35 emotions designed to address the respective target groups individually, directly and flexibly.

Yahoo enters into partnership with online music service Spotify

Yahoo, the struggling Internet pioneer, has entered into a partnership with the up-and-coming online music service Spotify. Spotify is set to be integrated into the Yahoo network.

This was announced by the two companies on Tuesday evening (local time). Spotify originates from Sweden and has also been available in Switzerland since November 2011. However, in this country, registration with the music service is only possible with a Facebook account. The service offers virtually unlimited access to music. Spotify users can thus legally access around 15 million music tracks without having to buy each track individually. The basic version is free and ad-financed. For 6.45 francs per month, there is unlimited, ad-free access from the computer, and for 12.95 francs also from the smartphone. Users can also download individual titles to their computers. 10 downloads cost 15.95, 100 music tracks 99.95 francs.

Spotify has more than ten million users worldwide to date. Yahoo reaches around 700 million people a month - that's just under half of Internet users. "As Yahoo's global music partner, we can reach a massive listenership," said Spotify founder Daniel Ek. Yahoo interim chief Ross Levinsohn praised Spotify as "revolutionizing the music business." Yahoo, which was very successful as a search engine and Internet portal in the early days of the worldwide web, is currently struggling to keep up with Internet giant Google and new players like social network Facebook.

It is currently trying to transform itself into an online platform for digital content. Among other things, Yahoo will develop an application for Spotify that will provide users with more information about the artists. The two companies have not yet announced when exactly the music service will be available on Yahoo. (sda)

Maybaum: Recruitment campaign for the Reuss Park

The Reusspark Center for Nursing and Care has commissioned the Maybaum Agency to conduct a recruitment campaign. The campaign is intended to facilitate the search for qualified nursing staff.

In cooperation with the advertising agency Küttel Laubacher, Maybaum Film designed and produced three online spots and a recruitment film for the project http://www.50pflegestellen.ch. Within three weeks of pre-production and one day of shooting, three spots were created. The main goal of these films is to generate as much interest as possible in the website 50pflegestellen.ch via social media channels.

Once on the landing page, a short animated film provides information about Reusspark's benefits as an employer. The concept seems to be having an effect, the agency said in a statement Wednesday. Since the first two spots went up, there has been a clear increase in applications, and positions in several care areas have already been fully filled, it said.

Agency Franz & René opens in Freiburg

The Bern-based advertising agency Franz & René was founded in January 2010. The agency is now opening a branch in Freiburg.

In addition, the agency launches a new website and a revised CI. As the Fribourg market, and the French-speaking part of Switzerland in general, became increasingly important, Franz & René decided to establish itself in Fribourg in parallel, the agency said in a statement. The agency was born in Bern, the company's headquarters, and then quickly expanded in its own premises, it said. With its national and regional mandates, it now counts 8 employees.

The agency has deliberately chosen to maintain a human size, so that each key position can be filled by a profile who brings his skills to the team, according to the statement. For example, the client consulting and creative departments are staffed with people who have several years of national and international agency experience (DDB, Euro RSCG, Mc Cann). Another important point is the cultural mix of the teams. It is no coincidence that the headquarters are located in Bern and Fribourg. This decision is part of the agency's positioning, which is seen as a symbolic bridge across the Röstigraben, the statement continues. It is necessary to understand the mentalities, the subtle differences between the two cultures, in order to be able to incorporate these into the conception of an advertising campaign.

Büro Troxler: Image film developed for Next Bike

Lucerne is the pilot city for the Next Bike project, which was initiated by Caritas. Büro Troxler has now produced an image spot in collaboration with film producer Till Gmür on behalf of the city of Lucerne.

Three short bicycle stories are intended to illustrate the product benefits of "the fastest way to get around the city and easy handling". The three Lucerne bands "7 Dollar Taxi", "Henrik Belden" and "Hej Francis" were engaged to provide the music. They are to give the film an additional Lucerne touch.

The spot will now be distributed virally and shown at selected events in the city of Lucerne. The continuation and resolution of the individual bike stories will follow at a later date.

Next Bike is the counterpart to Mobility - simply for cycling. Anyone can rent a bike quickly and inexpensively and return it to one of the 60 locations in the city. So far, the service is still too little known.

Y&R Group: Social media trends 2012 - 10 myths dispelled

Social media is currently one of the most talked-about topics in marketing. The Y&R Group would like to debunk a few social media myths.

Social media is still new and incomprehensible for many companies. They are still unsure how to deal with the young media and feel overwhelmed by the abundance and dynamics of developments. This often gives rise to prejudices and myths, according to the Y&R Group in a press release on Wednesday. But one thing is clear: social media will establish itself as an everyday medium because it satisfies 3 out of 5 basic needs according to Maslow: social exchange and belonging, esteem and self-actualization.

The Y&R Group Switzerland has addressed 10 myths about social media and discusses their relevance for marketers.

Last but not least: Abracadabra, your email is another one

Facebook has arbitrarily replaced the previous email address on its users' profiles with an address from its in-house email service. Some users have reacted with indignation to this change.

But they had already announced plans to standardize addresses in April. And users could change their contact data back to the old version. This is how Facebook defends itself and has already started with the changeover to email addresses ending with @facebook.com a few weeks ago, as the news channel CNN knows according to SDA. The new email appears by default on the profiles and is displayed to friends as a preferred contact address. However, many users only became aware of the changes when bloggers criticized the network over the weekend for the unsolicited changes. The network was accused of "quietly and secretly" interfering with users' private communications. Or, as IT security expert Graham Cluley writes, the network is trying with its change to get its members to use its own email service more. This should make it even more difficult for users to break away from the network.

Is Facebook a stalker? Or is it just a network that bends the rules a little in its favor? In any case, Facebook still has over 900 million users, and most of them don't seem to want to part with the network despite criticism of the way it handles user data.

Valencia Communication: Dermaplus now also works digitally against Bibeli

Valencia Kommunikation has developed an online contest for Dermaplus that includes a photo configurator. Anyone whose photo impresses the community will receive a free package of Dermaplus.

Dermaplus is a nutritional supplement designed for teenagers with blemished skin. To promote the product, Valencia Kommunikation has created an online contest with Facebook connection. Under the motto "Keep the Face - hide your bibles for the last time," participants can upload their own portrait photos and "hide" blemished skin areas with fun accessories in a configurator. The photos can then be published in the program's "Crazy Gallery" and rated by the Dermaplus community. Those who collect 25 stars with their picture will receive a winning code for a free pack of Dermaplus.

Valencia was responsible for the project from concept to design to web programming including Facebook implementation. "Keep the Face" is currently running on Dermaplus.ch and on Facebook.com/dermaplus.
