Allink: New packaging design for Nectaflor

The Zurich-based agency Allink has created a packaging design for the honey company Nectaflor that is intended to convey a sense of indulgence and naturalness.

The history of honey as a highly prized bee product is almost as old as mankind itself. The Swiss honey specialist Nectaflor is paying particular attention to varietal honeys. This new product group will be sold under the Nectaflor Finest Selection label from mid-2012. The line will initially include four different honey specialties, as detailed in a press release.

Allink has created a packaging design that does justice to the valuable content. The labels tell the personal story of each honey, while the handwriting and illustrations communicate that these are natural products of the highest quality, as detailed in a press release. The branding has also been adapted to clearly differentiate the range of honey specialties from the rest of the range. The golden version of the Nectaflor logo is intended to reflect the high quality of the products.

Responsible at Narimpex: Ulrich Grünig (CEO), Franziska Scheidegger (Head of Marketing). Responsible at Allink: Christoph Schlatter (CD), Lea Defranceschi (AD), Monika Jagodzinski (illustration), Jacqueline Felder (graphics).

Last but not least: piggy banks on the Internet

Swiss banks are embracing social media: Migros Bank is launching a savings account that can be linked to Facebook, Julius Bär has an official YouTube channel, and Raiffeisen has even created a position dedicated solely to social media.

Migros Bank is therefore encouraging customers to publish their savings goals on Facebook. The Migipig.ch platform generates a website for each savings goal that can be posted on Facebook, among other places, as the Sonntagszeitung writes. The website gives others the opportunity to participate financially in the savings goal. But Raiffeisen also wants to explore new avenues with social media. The company currently manages the Facebook and Twitter platforms, and plans to intensify this topic in the future, a spokesperson told the Sonntagszeitung.

Swiss banks apparently want to strengthen their social media presence, although a proper strategy is still not in place. At least that is the conclusion of a study by the consultancy Assetinum.com, according to the Sonntagszeitung. The study examined the social media presence of the world's 50 leading banks in the wealth management sector at the beginning of the year.

Julius Baer was only ranked 45th in the social media study, but now the private bank is apparently aiming for 44th place. It has recently started producing a weekly and a monthly podcast on YouTube under the name "Julius Baer Next Generation". The first monthly clip generated around 135 views in the first week. As soon as the Next Generation is born, there will probably be more.

Zurich Tokyo: Look smart with Glassy

Zürich Tokio has developed a positioning strategy for the Glassy online eyewear store. The entire corporate design, as well as the naming and the market launch, should do justice to the claim of understanding eyewear in the context of fashion.

Council of States committee votes in favor of SRG live streams

SRG should be allowed to broadcast live events on the internet as a first broadcast. The Transport and Telecommunications Committee of the Council of States has approved a motion to this effect.

The Allemann motion was approved by the National Council back in June (Werbewoche.ch reported). Evi Allemann justified her motion by arguing, among other things, that it took account of a "new media reality". According to the NZZ on Thursday, the Council of States committee has now also voted unanimously in favor of the motion.

Until now, SRG has only been allowed to broadcast live on its online channels if the broadcast is also shown on one of its television channels.

SW against the advertising bans demanded by the SGK

The National Council's Health Commission (SGK) is calling on the Federal Council to restrict advertising for chips and candy that is explicitly aimed at children. SW Swiss Advertising firmly rejects this proposal.

This is because the industry concerned has already taken self-regulatory measures, SW said in a statement on Friday. Bans are not a solution and ultimately distract from the responsibility of parents. According to the SGK's proposal, advertising should be banned in particular if the advertised food contains too much sugar, salt or saturated fatty acids. According to the SGK, this is based on the Swiss Pledge initiative of the Swiss food industry, which no longer wants advertising aimed at children under the age of 12.

According to the press release, such legislative measures would only restrict the freedom of movement of the economy. They would also increase the administrative burden for companies and authorities alike and place an unnecessary burden on our economy. In this specific case, a ban on advertising would above all relieve parents who leave their children unsupervised in front of the television out of convenience of their responsibility.
