New agency in Lucerne

In the mood for communication? If so, you can now order the “Menu Drei” in Lucerne, which has been available since October 2012. It’s served by the agency of the same name.

Menu Drei consists of the two graphic designers Alexandra Nessler and Simon Kassewalder and the consultant Conny Willi. The three already know each other from their time together at an agency in Cham, where they worked for clients such as Ricola, Implenia, Roche, Canton Zug and Samnaun Tourism. "Even at our former place of work, we realized that we complemented each other perfectly," says Conny Willi.

The young agency has barely been founded and can already boast its first budget win. The bi-annual brochure for Scooter Fashion was redesigned and the overall appearance was given a soft redesign. And further work and implementations for other new customers are already on the menu, according to the agency. The agency sees the challenges not only in the CI/CD, but describes itself as an all-inclusive agency that offers and covers every requirement of today's communication, from branding and advertising to web presence and social media marketing.

On November 28, the 10th general meeting of the Account Planning Group Switzerland (APGS) took place at the Gottieb Duttweiler Institute.

Karin Frick, Head of Think Tank, opened the meeting with current insights and outlooks on the question "What impact does "Big Data" have on our social and economic ecosystems?".

In the new year, the APGS will continue its work with a stronger leadership team: Ester Elices and Gordon Nemitz were newly appointed to the Board of Directors. Rainer Bühler (President), Marco Casile (Vice President), David Schärer, Peter Schäfer and Marc Schumacher were confirmed. Successful second edition of the TV 2.0 Summit

On November 29, 2012, the second TV 2.0 Summit took place at the Kaufleuten in Zurich. Videos of interviews and reports from the event are currently available on Tv2summit.ch.

Just like last year, the TV 2.0 Summit 2012 is completely sold out. One of the highlights was the mammoth panel discussion with Roger de Weck, Christoph Bauer, Christian Petit and Roger Schawinski. The date for the 2013 edition has already been set, according to Tv2summit.ch. The third edition will take place on November 28, 2013 - for the first time in the Kaufleuten Klubsaal.

To the videos

Last but not least: funny or negligent?

You'd have to have the Brazilians' sense of humor. Then they would certainly find this TV joke with the hidden camera funny. Or at least clearly.

At the moment, a video from a Brazilian TV show is making the rounds around the world and spreading at an explosive rate. According to Uproxx.com "The Most Horrifying Prank Ever." With this type of hidden camera, the question "Do you get a joke?" is unnecessary. More appropriate would be "How much permanent damage will you do if we take a joke on you?"

It's nothing new to abuse the hidden camera for dubious purposes. The MTV show "Prank'd" already pushed the boundaries of tastelessness in the hunt for ratings and regularly brought the unwilling participants to the brink of a nervous breakdown. Every expert should be able to confirm that it is not necessarily good for your health to expose yourself to unnecessary shock experiences. Decide for yourself whether you find it funny or negligent. Kurt Felix, the father of the hidden camera, would probably be less pleased if he saw what the entertainment industry has done with his once charming idea. The question: Do they still broadcast in 4:3 format in Brazil? (hae)

20 Minuten buys Danish commuter newspapers

MetroXpress Denmark, which publishes the free commuter newspapers MetroXpress and 24timer as well as the associated news portals, is taking over 20 Minuten. The commuter newspaper MetroXpress has the widest reach of any newspaper in Denmark.

Together, the two titles, whose publishing house is based in Copenhagen, have a distributed circulation of just under 350'000 copies and a readership of around 730'000. 20 Minuten intends to bring its experience in building successful commuter newspapers and online news platforms to the company and thus contribute to the further development of the Danish newspaper market, the company wrote in a statement on Wednesday.

20 Minuten will take over the shares of MetroXpress Denmark from the media houses Metro International (previously 51 percent) and A-Pressen and JP/Politikens Hus (previously 24.5 percent each) as of January 1, 2013. MetroXpress Denmark generated sales of 25.5 million euros in 2011 with around 80 employees. The enterprise value relevant for the takeover amounts to a very low double-digit million euro figure.

The commitment in Denmark is the second foreign commitment of the Tamedia media group, to which 20 Minuten belongs. At the end of 2007, Tamedia launched the commuter newspaper L'Essentiel together with the Luxembourg publisher Editpress, which has since developed very successfully.

"Musikantenstadl" before the end

ORF and BR have decided to continue the traditional program "Musikantenstadl" until 2014 - but after this grace period it will be over.

This is reported by the TV magazines Tele and TV-Star in their latest issues, citing ARD sources. The reason: the bosses at Bayerischer Rundfunk no longer believe in Andy Borg's music show and want to pull out. And without German viewers, the show is no longer interesting for Switzerland and its artists.

However, SRF is looking forward to the remaining two years - and above all to the planned "Stadl" live from India in 2014. "For SRF, the Musikantenstadl is an important event and an indispensable music show that carries the values of Switzerland out into the world," says SRF Head of Entertainment Christoph Gebel in a statement on the occasion of the contract extension.

Station renovates Wogg's website

The Station agency has given the website of furniture manufacturer Wogg a new look. Among other things, the site has been optimized for tablets.

The e-shop was integrated directly into the existing Page and is intended to make shopping a pleasant experience, as the agency writes in a press release. The store was designed so that purchases are not made directly via Wogg, but via the customer's own trusted furniture retailer. This complex process has been implemented in a simple and clear manner, according to the press release. The website was converted from Flash to HTML5 and optimized for tablets. The specially developed CMS allows Wogg to maintain the website and store single-handedly. In addition to Facebook, Pinterest was also integrated so that everyone can present their newly acquired designer piece to everyone.

When the pictures stopped

For most people, the trend is moving in the opposite direction: photographers are becoming filmmakers. Reiner Roduner is returning to the roots of the seventh art and has now invited guests to his first photo exhibition opening.

"Many of the photographers I've come across recently are extending their productions to running pictures and want to make use of the possibilities of this new timeline. I go the other way. After 120-minute feature films all the way down to 5-second commercials, I am also interested in the rigid axis and the compression of content into a single image. Capturing moments in a single image is a completely new and fascinating experience for me," explains Reiner Roduner. On Monday, the man from Absolutturnus Film, who has been in motion up to now, invited guests to his first vernissage with photos at the Christophe Guye Gallery in Zurich. On display in Dufourstrasse were pictures that Roduner has taken over the last two years on his travels in Vietnam, Ethiopia, New Zealand, the USA, India and Europe. Over a hundred guests showed great interest. More than ten also wanted to buy pictures, which caused Roduner to improvise a little. "The event was actually only intended as an early Christmas aperitif for friends..." (pan)

Koch Communication wins Swiss Football League

The latest addition to Koch Kommunikation's client portfolio is the Swiss Football League. It has commissioned the agency to design and develop the new SFL website, including the Match Center.

According to the announcement, this is to be one of the highlights of the site. With various small "specials," the match center is supposed to stand out from similar online services and keep users up to date on all the games by every trick in the book. The concept prevailed in the final pitch round against two other agencies.

Le Temps: fewer redundancies than announced

The Journalists' Association Impressum reports that the number of job cuts at Le Temps has been reduced. However, the association declined to tell the SDA exactly how many jobs will now be cut.

According to the imprint, however, the number "could be significantly reduced. This was "thanks to the great solidarity among the members of the editorial team. This included, among other things, staff reductions. For those who will be laid off, an acceptable social plan has been worked out, Impressum wrote further. The association took part in the negotiations with the management of the French-speaking Swiss daily Le Temps as a representative of the employees. "The support for the dismissed persons can be described as correct in view of the economic situation of the company," the communiqué said. Imprint, however, expressed "concern about the possible impact of the layoffs on editorial quality."

Le Temps had announced in mid-November that it was laying off 18 employees due to economic difficulties (Werbewoche.ch reported). The round of cost-cutting will have an impact on the journalistic offering, said Director Valérie Boagno at the time. (SDA)
