Comet: Shoppyland - a brand story

Komet has highlighted the shopping center’s logo in a new book. For over 35 years, the logo—the duck—has remained unchanged and continues to be a defining feature of the shopping center in the Bernese Mittelland.

With the redesign of Shoppyland around three years ago, the duck's appearance was also given fresh impetus, Komet writes in a statement. Since then, the figurative mark has reinvented itself visually again and again in various campaigns, taking on the most versatile shapes. The book stages the versatile figurative mark in an artistic context for the first time. As a tribute to the Shoppyland brand and at the same time as a small chronicle of the various duck subjects. To mark the occasion, various photographers have dedicated themselves to the duck and put it to work on over 200 pages in a contemporary, stylized visual language.

Mail: Personal newspaper My Newspaper discontinued

For a year, Swiss Post tested Switzerland's personalizable newspaper with My Newspaper. The number of subscriptions did not reach the expected levels.

For this reason, Swiss Post has decided not to launch the product on the market, according to a statement on Friday. The next step will be to analyze the test results and consider how to proceed. Current subscribers will continue to receive their individual newspapers until the end of December 2012.

The idea behind the My Newspaper pilot was to combine the electronic with the physical information channel. Subscribers to My Newspaper put together their own individual newspaper on the Internet. They were able to select content from various newspapers that was tailored to their interests - for example, the sports section from newspaper A, the politics section from newspaper B and the local section from newspaper C. The newspaper was then printed out for them by Swiss Post. Swiss Post then delivered the printed version of the newspaper to their home with the day's delivery or to their mailbox early in the morning. Alternatively, people around the world could subscribe to My Newspaper in electronic form as an e-paper. Various publishers had participated in "MyNewspaper" by making the content of their newspaper titles available.

Spina's Civil Voices: Half and Half Campaign for the Salvation Army

The ESC campaign «The Salvation Army Rocks Malmö» is just a side note in our communications strategy. That’s why the second wave of The Salvation Army’s “Faces” campaign will launch as planned in early December.

Once again, the focus is on human destinies. Fates that could happen to absolutely anyone. The pictures thrive on the irritation that the before/after is not shown in two pictures, but that the story is told in one and the same face. If you cover one half of the picture, the face appears completely different.

Responsible at Spina's Civil Voices: Stephan Huwiler, Matthias Freuler (creation) Lorenz Spinas (CD), Corinne Bucher (consulting), Simon+Kim Produktion, Simon Bolzern (photo), Aschmann Klauser (image processing).
