Valencia designs Feldschlösschen Kristallweizen packaging

Feldschlösschen Kristallweizen was developed and brewed by apprentice brewers, with proceeds from sales benefiting the Swiss Brewers Association's training fund. Valencia is responsible for the design of the packaging of Feldschlösschen Kristallweizen.

LEHRLINGSBIER_VISUAL

By donating the proceeds, Feldschlösschen promotes its own young talent and is committed to strengthening the national beer culture. It was therefore particularly important for the packaging of the Kristallweizen to show that there is more to this beer than meets the eye.

For this, an employee of the Valencia agency took up the pen and illustrated the portraits of the apprentices Jan Männl, Pascal Mahrer and Dominik Müller, who developed and brewed the beer. In addition, the overall design of the packaging and POS advertising materials was to communicate the type of beer, the production by the apprentices, and also the purpose of the beer.

The beer was limited edition and available exclusively at Coop.

Monami realizes again various contents for coop summer campaign

For the second time, the Monami agency has been commissioned by Coop to design and implement various social media content for the "TschTsch" summer campaign, which is intended to ensure reach and interaction.

Coop_Tim_mit_Grill_V2-(2)

The agency pursues an infotainment approach for the implementation of the content, which should not only entertain fans and followers, but also inform them and encourage them to interact. Gamification content, which encourages users of various channels to participate, serves as the basis for this. According to project manager Tim Schaerer, gamification content is currently "the trend of the moment on Instagram, Facebook and co. - but of course only if it is implemented in a contemporary way and tailored to the target group".

In addition, a video meme series is at the heart of the campaign, which is based on this year's Coop image campaign. Users can also become content creators in the summer campaign: As was possible with the raclette and fondue campaign last year, Instagram users can use new stickers to add barbecue gifs to their stories. Summer gadgets have been developed for offline use and will be raffled off via social media.

The campaign will be launched in stages on social media channels and can be seen on the Coop channels from now on.

MRB launches summer campaign for Flims

Flims Laax Falera is launching a revamped brand strategy for the summer, with Flims emerging as a standalone brand. Metzer Rottmann Bürge has supported this process and will be responsible for the brand’s communications going forward. The new summer campaign, #Flimsmoments, went live on Monday.

People who go to Flims are not necessarily looking for action, but also for peace and quiet. This thought is implemented by the agency Metzger Rottmann Bürge in its summer campaign for Flims and would like to invite you to pause with a series of photographs. Those who want to capture the moment in its entirety can follow the QR link or enter the hashtag #Flimsmoments on social media.

The campaign can be seen on public transport and commuter media in the Zurich agglomeration and is intended to direct the attention of commuters away from their cell phone screens to the mountains of Flims.

PET recycling campaign from Comqed puts an end to excuses

The Comqed agency has created a campaign for PET Recycling Switzerland that addresses a fundamental and persistent problem in recycling: excuses.

Plakat_Lunch-1

"PET recycling? Me? Always." Almost everyone has said or at least thought this sentence at some point. Actually, we are generally aware of how to behave correctly in terms of sustainability. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator, using a jute bag instead of a plastic bag, taking public transportation instead of driving, and recycling. But doing it consistently is another matter. We constantly justify our own behavior and thus compensate for our cognitive dissonance.

And yet it's so easy to recycle: deflate, put the cap on, and take it to the nearest PET collection point. After all, PET beverage bottles are too valuable to end up in the waste bin and thus be irretrievably lost for the recycling cycle.

The protagonists of the campaign implemented by Comqed are shown in five such situations in which a misconduct is threatened, whereupon the excuse is refuted by voice-over and a corresponding solution is provided for it, in line with the claim "PET recycling always works".

The campaign focuses on online media and OOH in order to optimally reach the particularly relevant on-the-go consumers. Especially for the young target group, Instagram Story Ads including memes and snack content for social media were produced. With Zeki, an important Swiss influencer was also won over for the good cause.

For the print subjects, the whole thing was reduced to the place where apparently incorrect recycling can take place. The choice of the poster locations coincides with the subjects: someone who is having a picnic by the lake sees the poster right there that shows him his misbehavior.

Rod launches campaign for Jobs.ch and says "Go for it"

Rod Kommunikation has launched a campaign for the job portal Jobs.ch designed to encourage people to take the next step in their careers. To kick things off, the focus is on an online salary check, with additional topics to follow throughout the year.

jobsch1neu.jpg

It often happens that we dream a bit in relation to our everyday working life, be it of more pay, a shorter commute, more responsibility or quite simply a new job. With the claim "Go for it", Jobs.ch wants to call on people to tackle their goals.

For the online salary check, which marks the start of the campaign, a study was carried out by the Sotomo research center, which examined various aspects relating to the topic of salary satisfaction. According to the results, around a third of respondents believe that they are "selling themselves short" when it comes to wages when taking on a new job. It is therefore important to always be well informed when it comes to wages and employment conditions.

Jobs.ch as a Swiss job platform knows the characteristics of the local job market and offers besides job advertisements also further support in areas like salary negotiations, CV or job interviews.

The new campaign is intended to convey know-how and encourage people to push ahead with their professional development. Jobs.ch offers a comprehensive salary check as well as company portraits including user ratings, so that an insight into the respective company culture can be gained. In addition, a blog provides tips and guidance on all aspects of working life.

In addition, the campaign is structured chronologically and thematically. The "Salary" theme is currently live throughout German-speaking Switzerland. The "part-time" and "career move" sections will follow and will be used in TV, online, OOH, DOOH, social media, print, and on the platforms of Jobs.ch owners Tamedia and Ringier.

Swisscom launches new interactive platform

For classic advertising campaigns, Swisscom presents "Beem," an interactive extension, because the platform transmits content-related enhancements directly to the smartphone via cross-device tracking technology. However, this innovation is also meeting with criticism.

beem-Screen

The advertising-critical IG Plakat | Raum | Gesellschaft reported on Friday about mysterious black boxes reportswhich were placed above billboards in Zurich's main train station. Clarifications by the organization have revealed that this is a so-called cross-device tracking technology that is being tested by APG|SGA. Further details were not yet known.

Since Monday, however, it has been clear what it is all about: On June 1, Swisscom is launching "Beem," a platform that interactively enhances classic advertising campaigns and is integrated into other apps. This platform responds to the trend that advertisers are increasingly turning to interactive and performance-oriented online formats. "Beem" is also intended to open up this field for classic advertising media.

The platform is already being used in the apps of 20 Minuten, Watson and Bluewin, and "Beem" can also be used via the TV station 3+. Beem" is activated by audio signal at certain billboard locations and during certain broadcasts as well as cinema spots, whereupon the user is shown corresponding additional information or offers for advertising after an unobtrusive hint - provided he has opened the above-mentioned apps. According to the Swisscom announcement, this can be purely additional information, sweepstakes or voting entries, or even purchase offers and vouchers. The platform is also available as a separate app; registration is not required, but recommended.

The first campaigns using "Beem" will also start at the beginning of June. SBB, for example, is using the new technology, and Admeira and Goldbach are already involved in the test phase for TV implementation. Customers can implement campaigns via APG|SGA for billboards and Werbeweischer for cinema advertising.

Partner & Partner responsible for launch

Partner & Partner provided strategic support for the launch of the interactive platform, and the agency is also responsible for the implementation, social media and web presence, product design and the awareness campaign. The campaign also starts at the beginning of June and will demonstrate the interactivity of "Beem" to the target audience over three weeks.

Alessandro Rausa, Head of "Beem" at Swisscom is satisfied with the choice of agency: "We needed an agency that could accompany us every step of the way. Partner & Partner not only provided us with strategic advice, but also designed and implemented our major launch campaign, all advertising materials, app screens, wording, sales documents and social media presence. This performance-oriented agility is crucial for us." The agency is convinced by the concept of the new platform, and the person responsible, Luc Holzach, considers the interactive extension of classic campaigns long overdue: "Beem made it easy for us to deliver good work: We were convinced of this idea from the very beginning - there are countless possible applications."

Divided opinions on the technology

Not everyone shares Partner & Partner's opinion. IG Plakat | Raum | Gesellschaft, which advocates a sustainable reduction of outdoor advertising in the city and canton of Zurich, criticizes the innovation.

It is problematic to install and commission a technology without first consulting the public, the organization writes in the communication of Friday. In addition, it refers in a post updated on Tuesday to the as yet unresolved problem areas of data protection and compatibility of the radiated signal. Various people have written in the comments columns on articles in the Tages-Anzeiger and 20 minutes about the signals that are apparently audible after all. So it's quite possible that the last word on this subject has not yet been spoken.

Sir Mary realizes the appearance of the Cashback Cards for Swisscard

Even before the card design and product naming are finalized, Swisscard brings Sir Mary on board to launch the Duo Cashback Cards with a cashback feature. The agency is developing the entire experience—from card design to communications and media, all the way through to the digital card application process.

HEADER-Swisscard-Cashback-MM-F12

The free credit card with cashback function introduced last November was so popular that Swisscard has turned it into a duo: The Cashback Cards, in which the cashback function was supplemented by a link to all well-known payment solutions without an annual fee. In addition, all these benefits are now also available for an American Express card. The Cashback Cards have been on the market for a few weeks now.

The cashback cards are aimed at a digitally savvy target group with a modern lifestyle, which determines the strategic direction of the campaign. People are shown with the statement "I let myself be paid for paying" and the question "And you?". It is then made clear that all Cashback Cards customers have the following privilege: "Get up to 1% back when you pay. With your free Cashback Cards".

Sir Mary conceived the card design and branding of the Cashback Cards, the entire out-of-home and digital campaign, from the architecture and advertising materials to the media strategy and implementation. The agency is also responsible for the development of a mobile-first website, the social media strategy and elaboration as well as the digital engagement journey and email marketing. In addition to the ongoing optimization of the campaign, further activities with influencers are planned for the next six months.

OSW raises awareness again for the visually impaired aid Basel

For the second time, the OSW agency has realized an awareness-raising campaign for Sehbehindertenhilfe Basel. The aim of the campaign is to highlight the association's offers and services.

osw_sb6

Sehbehindertenhilfe Basel is committed to ensuring that visually impaired people can continue to live independently and also supports their families. In 20 years' time, there will be around 28,000 more visually impaired people living in the Basel area than there are today, which suggests that the population should be made aware of the issue and that the association's offers and services should be brought into focus. In order to achieve this, Sehbehindertenhilfe Basel has commissioned the OSW agency for the second time to implement an awareness-raising campaign (Advertising week reported).

The various offers are visualized with simple illustrations that can be interpreted in different ways. The key visual "spaghetti or thread", for example, illustrates the cooking and sewing offers.

The campaign can currently be seen on public transport, on posters, in various newspapers and on Facebook. A household mailing was also sent out.

Sir Mary launches poster campaign for Sharoo

Sir Mary has launched a new poster campaign for the car-sharing platform Sharoo. The campaign uses pithy headlines to highlight the various reasons for renting cars and the different ways they are used.

Sharoo-OOH-F12

For five years now, Sharoo has been offering a platform for private individuals, companies, municipalities and superstructures to rent out their cars to third parties, and has meanwhile established itself as a real alternative to various mobility services. Since last week, slogans such as "Even in overpriced apartments you can move in cheaply" or "If our cars were even closer to you, it would be harassment" have been used to draw attention to the steadily growing offering of the car sharing platform. Seven different billboards are hanging in the cities of Zurich, Bern, and Basel.

"Sharoo rental cars are everywhere our customers need them to be, at fair prices and for a wide range of needs," explains Christina Alessio, Head of Marketing & Communications at Sharoo. "To charge this in a positive way, Sir Mary has once again developed a bright and sharp-tongued campaign for us that we are very proud of and that fits us perfectly."

Getty Images celebrates the first anniversary of the Disability Collection

May 16 is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about accessibility. On this day, Getty Images, Verizon Media, and the National Disability Leadership Alliance are celebrating the first anniversary of the Disability Collection, a collection dedicated to the authentic visual representation of people with disabilities, which now includes 1,000 curated images.

Getty-Images_The-Disability-Collection-(c)-FluxFactory_Getty-Images

The aim of the Disability Collection is to portray people with disabilities authentically and true to life in the media. The images are carefully checked by the National Disability Leadership Alliance (NDLA), an association of 17 national organizations led by people with disabilities. High standards of scrutiny ensure that the many manifestations of disability are portrayed without prejudice. The Disability Collection was developed by six Verizon Media focus groups concentrating on different types of disabilities. At the same time, a quantitative survey of over 1000 people was conducted to determine how people with disabilities would like to be portrayed in images and what guidance they would give photographers to avoid stereotypes. The collection was thus created in an act of co-curation.

"The partnership with Getty Images and Verizon Media has given us a big say in the appropriate portrayal of people with disabilities in the media. This representation in turn influences how we perceive ourselves within society. Often, people with disabilities are disregarded by mainstream media in our culture. The Disability Collection is a big step towards a world where everyone feels seen - real progress," says Lawrence Carter-Long, Communications Director for the Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund at the NDLA.

The collection deliberately shows people with disabilities in their everyday lives, as well as real people of different socio-economic status, age, gender, ethnicity and sexuality, rather than professional models. The aim is not to show the stereotypical "overcoming" of a disability, but that it represents a natural part of identity.

"Today, images are a language spoken around the world. That also means it's never been more important to create and share visual communications that are progressive and inclusive," says Rebecca Swift, Senior Director of the Creative Insight team at Getty Images. "That's why we partnered with NDLA and Verizon Media to create images that reflect real lives with disabilities. The collection aims to empower the media and advertising industry to portray people with disabilities as they really are."

Getty has seen an increase in searches related to disability imagery on Gettyimages.com over the past year: "Until now, it's been difficult for companies to find modern, dignified and diverse images of people with disabilities," says Mike Shebanek, Head of Accessibility and Inclusion at Verizon Media. "With the Disability Collection, they now have access to photos that authentically represent their target audiences. That's important because: People want to identify with a brand that shares their values. In fact, our research has shown that 70 percent have a more positive attitude towards a brand when people with disabilities are shown in advertising. The Disability Collection is an important tool to stimulate a discussion about different forms of representation on a social level.

On the first anniversary, the organizations around the Disability Collection are calling for further discussion online about the representation of disabilities in the media and advertising. The hashtag #TheDisabilityCollection can be used on social media to share personal opinions on why greater representation of people with disabilities is important, thus creating greater awareness of this issue.

Adobe study shows parallels in B2B and B2C buying behavior

The results of the Adobe study show that typical consumer buying behavior in B2C is also becoming established among B2B buyers, citing customer experience, purpose, and transparency as three key success factors that unite business and consumer marketing.

Depositphotos_24102471_l-2015

The result of Marketo's "Creating Epic Customer Experience" report shows that typical consumer buying behavior in B2C is increasingly becoming established among B2B purchasing decision-makers in companies, which means that the traditional differences between B2B and B2C marketing are fading. 1215 B2B marketers and B2C customers from various industries across Europe were surveyed for the study, and brand transparency appears to be playing an increasingly important role for business buyers, with 78 percent seeing it as a driving factor in their purchasing decisions. Brand purpose is a factor in the choice of 68 percent, and just under half of B2B buyers (49 percent) expect a personalized customer experience.

Private customer experiences are increasingly being transferred to business processes, and business buyers are increasingly expecting the same seamless processes. Marketers must therefore say goodbye to strictly separate B2B and B2C marketing strategies and establish a "business-to-everyone" approach. After all, according to the study, 70 percent of B2B marketers also have difficulty positioning their offerings in a crowded market and will therefore have to identify and address their target groups in a more targeted manner in the future - as has long been the practice in B2C marketing.

Accordingly, the "Creating Epic Customer Experiences" report identifies three key areas where B2B and B2C are increasingly merging:

1. transparency

Privacy, transparency and trust are important decision-making factors for consumers - and increasingly so for B2B buyers. Whereas ease of doing business was once considered a unique selling point, purchasing decision-makers in companies today also expect a smooth customer experience. For 85 percent, this includes above all a fair offer. 83 percent also want to be sure that their personal data is protected. Around 78 percent expect brands to be honest and transparent.

2. brand purpose

Brand Purpose and ethical and sustainable business practices are also playing an increasingly important role in business contracts. For 68 percent of respondents, Brand Purpose is an important factor. 67 percent strive to work with environmentally conscious brands. 64 percent prefer to cooperate with companies that focus on fair processes and ethical standards along the entire supply chain. Those who are not transparent in these matters miss out on important opportunities: at 48 percent, almost half of the companies have already suffered business losses as a result. 30 percent of respondents would not do business with a brand whose values contradict those of their own company.

3. customer experience

To offer customers seamless and personalized experiences across all touchpoints, brands are increasingly turning to technology. This is because it can not only win new customers, but also strengthen existing customer loyalty. Nearly half of B2B buyers say that personalized offers and communications increase their loyalty. However, at 32 percent, just under a third of B2B marketers have difficulty adapting their own offers to customer needs.

Jamie Anderson, President EMEA Digital Experience at Marketo, an Adobe company, states: "Whether consumers or businesses, the basic psychology behind the purchase decision is little different. Both B2B and B2C customers expect marketers to always know who their customers are, what they want, and what point in the customer journey they are at. B2B marketers need to offer business customers the same experiences they are used to in their personal lives. That's a big challenge, and there's a fine line between failure and success."
