Halter Immobilien becomes Tend: Schneiterpartner develops visual brand identity

The real estate service provider "Halter Immobilien" changes its name and becomes "Tend". Schneiterpartner is responsible for the rebranding.

Tend_Case_1

Until now, the "Halter Immobilien" real estate services business unit was still closely aligned with "Halter" in terms of its visual identity and company name. To strengthen its positioning as an independent service provider, the company has now given itself a new brand identity with the name "Tend".

Tend's corporate design was developed in collaboration with Schneiterpartner. The agency visually implemented the brand strategy developed by Tend and supported the market launch. "Schneiterpartner did an excellent job of developing a concise and simple design that perfectly expresses our culture and values in a very short space of time," says Andres Stierli, member of the Executive Board.

The project team consistently translated the new image into all relevant physical and digital touchpoints, creating a brand presence that is integrated across all channels.

July was once again a weak advertising month

Gross advertising spend in July totaled 463 million Swiss francs. This represents a 1.8 percent increase compared to the same month last year. Nevertheless, the summer slump is clearly noticeable: As in the two previous years, July is the month with the lowest advertising volume so far this year. Overall, advertising volume year-to-date (YTD) remains slightly above the previous year’s figure (+2.5%).

Media-Focus-Werbemarktrend-Hands

The industry rankings YTD are reflected in the advertising behavior of the month of July. Table leader Leisure, Hospitality and Tourism acts most aggressively and is once again responsible for the highest gross power print of the month. In percentage terms, the leading industry also increases advertising pressure the most significantly of the top ten compared with the same month last year (+15.5 percent). The second-placed service sector also increased its advertising print in July by 5.9 percent year-on-year. The financial sector in third position acts more defensively in terms of advertising than in the same month last year, but because runner-up Construction, Industry, Furnishings also invests 1.3 percent less than in July 2018, there are no shifts on the podium. At the back of the rankings, everything also remains the same, except for two changes. The retail trade overtakes the automotive industry and is now in fifth place, while the media and cleaning industries swap places.

Tobacco industry: Still relatively top & absolutely flop

Although the political headwind against tobacco advertising is increasing, advertising pressure was once again up year-on-year (+258.2 percent), as in the previous two months. The biggest contributor in July was the Logic Compact e-cigarette. The second-largest percentage increase was recorded by political campaigns, which increased print by 43.2 points year-on-year. Events are responsible for the third largest proportionate increase in advertising pressure (+11.9 percent).

Minimal changes within the industries

12 of the 21 sectors put the brakes on advertising in July compared with the same month last year. However, most of the reductions are in the low single-digit percentage range, resulting in a slight overall increase. In percentage terms, the energy sector reduced its pressure the most, by 38.6 points. In absolute terms, however, it is still in second last place.

After five years, 27-year-old Zurich native Maximilian Baumann has decided to leave Radio 24. He will join his sister Lina Baumann's production company as a partner from November 2019. Maximilian Baumann will remain with CH Media as host of "Ninja Warrior Switzerland" on TV24.

Maximilian-Baumann_Yves-Bachmann

Maximilian Baumann says goodbye to the Zurich-based private broadcaster: "In the last five years, I've been able to experience a lot and have learned a lot of new things. Personally as well as work-wise, I was able to develop in the best environment and experience funny and unforgettable moments again and again." Maximilian Baumann first appeared on Radio 24 in 2014, and for two years he challenged Radio 24 and Radio Argovia listeners with tricky questions on Saturday afternoons as part of the "Big Prize" quiz show. In 2016, the Zurich native then took over as host of the "Abig Show" and accompanied listeners into the end of the day with a lot of cordiality, entertainment and information.

The station also regrets the departure of Maximilian Baumann: "In his three years as presenter, Maximilian has further developed and shaped Radio 24's Abig show. We thank him for his heart and soul and his commitment to Radio 24 and the entire station family," says Florian Wanner, Managing Director of CH Media Radios.

Who will take Maximilian Baumann's place is still open. Radio 24 will provide information in due course about what kind of voice will be heard on Radio 24 in the future, Monday through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m.

Nevertheless, Maximilian Baumann will remain with CH Media as a presenter on TV24. He will continue to host "Ninja Warrior Switzerland" as before.

ViznerBorel advocates for more "RubberDrum" among young people

The GummiLove association raises awareness among young people about sexual health. To mark its tenth anniversary, ViznerBorel is supporting the organization with a cross-media campaign.

F12_Gummi_Love_Pistole

The GummiLove association is a Swiss non-profit organization that is financed by donations of GummiLove products, member and patron contributions as well as donations and support contributions. GummiLove has set itself the task of sensitizing young people aged 13 and over to sexual health and making protected intercourse and a self-confident approach to their sexuality a matter of course. Since its foundation ten years ago, over 150,000 condoms and over 80,000 magazines have already been distributed, mainly at schools, open airs, events, clubs and in general youth work. GummiLove has also carried out over 60 individually designed workshops and prevention events that convey the message of safer sex and self-determined sexuality. To date, more than a thousand online consultations have been held via the Sexpert chat, which provides information on everything you need to know about sex.

To mark its tenth anniversary, GummiLove is launching a broad-based cross-media campaign, which was conceived by ViznerBorel and implemented with various partners. "When we were asked by Roger Grolimund to create the campaign, we didn't have to think twice. It was clear to us that we would support GummiLove," says Lajos Vizner, co-owner of ViznerBorel. The aim of the campaign is to make the general public more aware of GummiLove as part of a young lifestyle and to increase the use of condoms among young people. "The key visuals designed by ViznerBorel in the language of youth encourage people to take sexual health for granted. Under the motto "Making safe love sexy", we deliberately opted for a concept that is bold and attention-grabbing without pointing the finger. The concept is also easy to implement in 360 degrees," says Roger Grolimund from Rogo & Friends, who has been advising GummiLove since 2018 and has many years of experience in setting up youth-oriented prevention programs. With this presentation, GummiLove speaks to young people about safe sex at eye level and thus becomes part of their lifestyle. The advertising material is used wherever young people are, in the spirit of "Do good - look good - spread the word".

Nothing works without partners who generously support GummiLove. A big thank you goes to all those who have been committed and dedicated to bringing this campaign to life. "We are convinced that the cross-media campaign will be effective and that the message will be positively received by young people, so that they will say to themselves: Just use it," says Daniel Rietmann, founder of the GummiLove association.

Many prominent influencers also support the association's efforts as ambassadors and spread the message via their social networks, including Stress, Gülsha Adilji, Jonny Giger, Pat Burgener, Lucas Huppert, Simon Stricker, Elias Ambühl, Sina Candrian, Iouri Padladtchikov and Nicolas Müller.

From mid-August 2019, the motifs will be seen in various media such as posters, advertisements, online banners, school posters, sticker sets, postcards and via the association's appearances at open airs, festivals and events. At the start of the campaign, the entire website will also be given a new look and young people will be reached with a new GummiLove TV on YouTube and social media on topics such as safer sex rules and condom use. GummiLove Magazine No. 7 will also be published at the same time, which will be distributed to schools and used by sex educators, teachers and youth workers to educate pupils.

Heineken launches digital trading card: free beer via app

Heineken Switzerland is the first Swiss brewer to launch a digital beer passport for the Calanda, Eichhof, Haldengut and Heineken brands. The product is the result of collaboration with the software company Poinz.

Calanda

The principle is simple and based on the fact that today there is a smartphone in every pocket. The user has to install an app and, thanks to geotracking, the smartphone shows the nearest Heineken outlet that is participating in the beer pass. There, the customer asks for the QR code to go with the beer and scans it using the mobile app. This credits one point to the digital collection card. Every 15th beer is free. There are also various prizes to be won when collecting points.

For the implementation of the digital beer pass, Heineken Switzerland relied on the Zurich-based startup Poinz. Today, 500,000 people already use its app for offers from over 1,500 stores.

But there's a catch for beer lovers who like to collect: the promotion is limited in time and runs only until the end of September. (pd/hae)

Ibiza affair: Strache-Lockvogel received no money for trap

The female decoy in the «Ibiza video,» which led to the resignation of then-Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache (FPÖ), did not receive any money for the sting operation. This is according to journalists Frederik Obermaier and Bastian Obermayer.

Strache

The two investigative journalists from the South German Newspaper report on a meeting with the woman in their new book "The Ibiza Affair", which will be published on Thursday. "We can say that she assured us - in a relaxed and credible manner - that she knew what she was getting into, that she had not been blackmailed and that she had not received any money," the book says. She was also amazed at how carelessly Strache and his FPÖ party friend Johann Gudenus had confided things to her that could get them into enormous difficulties.

Strache and Gudenus fell into a trap in Ibiza in the summer of 2017 and were filmed talking for hours with an alleged Russian oligarch's niece. The Mirror and the South German Newspaper published parts of the recordings on May 17 in which Strache talks about possibly illegal party donations and political influence. As Obermaier and Obermayer write in "The Ibiza Affair", an investment by the Russian woman in the influential Kronen-Zeitung would have been the main topic of conversation. From there, she could have supported the FPÖ in the media. In return, however, she wanted promises for clearly corrupt offers.

Video triggers political quake

According to the book, Strache rejected such deals several times during the course of the evening. In this context, the 50-year-old had recently repeatedly emphasized that the journalists had misrepresented the momentous night. In return, Obermaier and Obermayer accuse Strache of not ending the conversation earlier in the face of all these obviously corrupt offers. In addition, the ex-FPÖ leader was ultimately persuaded to make promises. For example, he declared that he wanted to award state building contracts to the alleged oligarch's niece if the FPÖ, with the support of the Kronen-Zeitung come to power.

The publication of the video triggered a political quake in Austria. After Strache's resignation, the entire government collapsed, and ultimately even the young chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) was unable to hold on to office. New elections are due on September 29. (SDA)

In the Children's Club, young art fans are given access to art and their own creativity in a playful way. For example, in theater groups, the stage sets are painted by the children themselves.

For several years now - and now also this year - the Zurich agency Gestalten has been responsible for the concept and design of the Kids' Club flyer.

An inclusive society needs inclusive emojis

People with disabilities should be portrayed as a natural part of society. Pro Infirmis is launching its own emoji collection because Unicode’s recently released 13th expansion of its emoji set does not go far enough.

Emoji's-Pro-Infirmis

Among the 230 new emojis, there are those that depict disability, but the depiction is primarily limited to disabilities with assistive devices such as a wheelchair or a cane for the blind. However, people with disabilities cannot be reduced to aids such as hearing aids or prostheses, but should be portrayed as people who participate in everyday life and belong to society as a matter of course: They dance and eat, travel and laugh, love and cry, just like all other people. The emoji world must depict this accordingly.

Pro Infirmis and the CRK agency are therefore launching existing and popular emojis with disabilities. Then the user can not only determine the skin color, but also whether the emoji should be displayed with or without a disability. With its proposed emojis, Unicode cements existing differences and prejudices instead of overcoming them.

In order for people with disabilities to become visible as a natural part of society, an emoji edition must take this into account. Therefore, for example, there is an emoji with a disability that is additionally hindered by external circumstances. Because people with disabilities encounter many obstacles in their everyday lives, and Pro Infirmis and CRK want to raise awareness of this.

The food company Nestlé has been trying since 2016 to prevent a commercial by the Israeli coffee machine manufacturer Espresso Club, which features a double of Nespresso advertising icon George Clooney (Werbewoche.ch reported). According to Handelszeitung the high court ruled that it was a parody that was not based on the original production with the original movie star. And was therefore not a copy. The two companies compete in Israel in a nearly $2 billion coffee market.
