The corresponding application for a figurative mark was filed with the trademark register a few days ago, as the Handelszeitung reports. The design is based on the cheese dresses that Swiss skiers wore in the 1990s. The design of the former Nati suits is still very well known, says Emmentaler spokeswoman Luana Monopoli. That's why they are interested in protecting it for themselves.

Home Zurich lets facts speak for Bank Cler

Life comes with many financial challenges. In a campaign for Bank Cler, the Zurich-based agency Heimat Zürich shows what these challenges look like in practice.

cler_image2021_motiv_03

Bank Cler is known for not mincing its words when it comes to finances and for its communication that likes to initiate public discussions about money. In keeping with its brand claim "Time to talk about money," the three subjects of the latest imageflight also go where it often hurts for many Swiss people - financially speaking.

The sober financial facts are surprising and impressive and are intended to encourage people to reflect on their own situation.

The three OOH motifs, which are also placed as moving image versions on Instagram and YouTube, form the teaser for the individual landing pages Cler.ch/children-costs, Cler.ch/assets and Cler.ch/retirementwhere you can delve deeper into the topic at hand.

Pandemic halved visitor numbers at the Museum of Communication in 2020

The months-long closure of museums is taking a toll on visitor numbers. The Bern Museum of Communication recorded 55,000 visits in 2020—more than 50 percent fewer than the previous year’s 115,000 visits. Now, museum officials are hoping to reopen in March.

mfk-pandemie

With the lockdown in spring and the renewed closure in October, the Museum of Communication was closed for more than a third of the year, Director Jacqueline Strauss recalled at an online media conference on Tuesday. The closure affected, of all things, the months with the highest number of visitors, starting in the fall.

The financial balance sheet has yet to be drawn up. However, savings, short-time work and subsidies from the canton of Berne have enabled the company to make ends meet.

For the closure during the lockdown in spring, the Museum of Communication received a contribution of 90,000 Swiss francs from the Canton of Bern, as Strauss explained in response to a question from the Keystone-SDA news agency. Still pending is another application for the financial losses of the renewed closure in the fall.

Digital and analog

During the closure, the museum maintained contact with the public both analogously and digitally, as Strauss emphasized. During the lockdown, for example, 35 live streams were switched on, which were followed by 1,000 viewers. The caricature exhibition can still be visited online. 15,000 users have taken advantage of this option so far.

Analog contact with the public was the goal of the latest "Postcard for you" campaign. For two weeks, employees have been writing postcards by hand and dropping them into randomly selected mailboxes.

New exhibition extended until 2022

Already ready for three months is the temporary exhibition "SUPER - The Second Creation", which combines exhibition and theater. After the hoped-for reopening in March, the exhibition will be extended until spring 2022. A series of podcasts on the topic of artificial intelligence is already online.

The museum is also launching a project on the eco-crisis and climate change. Under the title "We need to talk", the aim is to find out together with visitors and experts what a responsible life could look like. After the start with individual actions, a spatial installation is planned for 2022. (SDA)

Franz&René and OFAC always have the pharmacy at hand with Abilis

The Swiss Pharmacists' Professional Association (OFAC) has launched Abilis. The online service offers simplified access to the services of nearly 800 Swiss pharmacies. To mark the launch, Franz&René designed a predominantly digital 360-degree campaign.

Does e-health mean a dehumanization of the sector in favour of algorithms? Not at all. Pharmacists will continue to support their customers - perhaps even better. For the branding phase of Abilis, the customer benefit is symbolized in three commercials and three visuals that show the pharmacist and his customers at eye level.

Digital functions

The list of functions offered by the online service, such as renewing treatments with a simple click, round-the-clock access to your own health record and ordering products at home, is long and constantly evolving. In addition to the branding visuals, seven subjects that address the functionalities of Abilis were developed in a performance-oriented graphic design and distributed on the social networks Facebook and Instagram. The whole thing is again set to music in the form of a video on the landing page.

Multiple variations

The two-stage campaign with branding and performance was also developed for IAB banners, posters in pharmacies, print advertisements, POS and e-mailing. The visuals and illustrations provide a consistent brand identity that has a strong connection to the logo and stands out from the usual market codes.

Head of Trade Media Thomas Walliser leaves CH Media

Thomas Walliser, Head of Specialist Media at CH Media, is leaving the company at his own request. He is handing over the overall operational management of CH Media's magazine portfolio to Michael Sprecher as of February 1, 2021.

Thomas Walliser (left) leaves CH Media and hands over the management of specialist media to Michael Sprecher.

After almost two and a half years at CH Media and successful integration work, Thomas Walliser has decided to leave the company at his own request, as CH Media wrote in a press release on Tuesday. He was previously the successful publisher of Wohnrevue for over nine years, which he subsequently sold to NZZ and took over the management of NZZ Fachmedien. This eventually became part of the CH Media joint venture. The strategic realignment of the magazines within the CH Media portfolio means that now is the right time for him to reorient himself, it is said.

Walliser will hand over the operational management of CH Media's entire magazine portfolio to the current head of technical trade journals and special interest magazines Michael Sprecher on February 1, 2021. Sprecher will now also be responsible for the magazines for the design and architecture sector as well as the textile and fashion industry Wohnrevue, Modulør and Textilrevue.

Adrian Merz becomes Creative Director at Sir Mary

Sir Mary is expanding its creative team. Adrian Merz is leaving Thjnk Zurich and joining the agency at Zurich’s Lochergut as Creative Director.

Adrian-Merz

Merz studied visual communication in Bern and got his start at Jung von Matt Limmat before moving to London. There he worked for Akqa, Anomaly, BBH and Mother, among others, as senior creative and art director. He looked after international clients such as Nike, Google Play, Ray Ban, Lego, Stella Artois and Axe.

An offer of employment as creative director prompted Adrian Merz to return to Switzerland and Jung von Matt in the summer of 2017. In this leadership role, he worked on campaigns for Graubünden Ferien, Swiss Radio and Television, Ovomaltine, as well as the Migros labels M-Budget and Generation M. After just under two years, he moved to Thjnk Zurich, where he was responsible as Creative Director for Credit Suisse, Audi, and Edelweiss Air, among others.

"For me, there was only one thing for the expansion of the creative management: Adrian or nothing! International experience in a network is one thing, but working for agencies like Mother or Anomaly is quite another," Florian Beck, Chief Creative of Sir Mary, was quoted as saying in a press release. "I'm looking forward to his international visual language and digital ideas that have nothing to do with advertising thinking."

Communicative crackers for Coco

The two creatives Thomas Schicker and Thomas Wirth are taking off with Coco. The team's idea: Kreapower as an online service.

COCO_1200x668

About Coco.work Schicker and Wirth are now offering their combined experience of over 40 years in idea generation and conception online - as an agile remote creative team for agencies, marketing departments and companies. Thomas Schicker will be responsible for conception and design, Thomas Wirth for conception and text.
