Swiss Travel System is a subsidiary of SBB and Switzerland Tourism. Its task is to market Swiss public transport internationally. The image film is intended to encourage international guests to discover Switzerland by public transport. The second film promotes the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland, a train trip lasting several days to Switzerland's most beautiful destinations. Ikea furniture celebrates tranquility singing

Ikea France and Buzzman Paris give stressed furniture a (singing) voice.

IKEA---So-Quiet-0-4-screenshot

After the successful Christmas campaign from last year the Swedish furniture manufacturer is not using rapping decoration this time, but singing furniture.

In the 45-second spot "So quiet," the furniture sings the praises of the wonderful silence when the occupants are not at home. But when the family returns in the evening, spreading noise and chaos again for the time being, peace - and, thanks to Ikea's furnishing solutions, order - soon returns to the house.

The TV campaign, implemented by Buzzman Paris, promotes Ikea's various storage solutions and is streamed on TV as well as online.

Google parent Alphabet disappoints revenue expectations

Alphabet, Google's parent company, reported lower-than-expected revenue at the end of the year. Driven by the advertising business, fourth-quarter revenue rose by a good 17 percent year-over-year to $46.1 billion.

alphabetinc-logo

However, this is the weakest growth in five years and analysts had expected around 47 billion dollars in sales. The U.S. Internet giant announced its quarterly figures on Monday (local time) after the close of the U.S. stock market. Investors immediately reacted disappointed to the figures and let the shares fall after trading by about four percent.

Profit, however, rose more strongly than expected. It increased from 8.9 billion to 10.7 billion dollars. For the first time, Alphabet also disclosed the advertising revenues of the YouTube video platform - in the final quarter of 2019, they were 4.7 billion dollars and in the entire past fiscal year, 15.1 billion dollars. For the first time, Alphabet also reported the revenues of its cloud business. Accordingly, they amounted to 2.61 billion dollars.

More competition

The figures underline the question of whether Google will be able to maintain its dominant position in the online advertising business in the long term. On the one hand, the Group is being targeted by the US competition authorities. On the other hand, the competition is putting on a lot of pressure. Internet giants such as Amazon and Facebook are continuously expanding their advertising business internationally. By contrast, Google's growth in this area weakened last year, which management attributed to unfavorable exchange rate effects and one-off changes in the product portfolio.

Another critical issue for the Group is its growing costs. At $36.8 billion, they were 18.5 percent higher in the final quarter than a year ago. For example, the Group is hiring thousands of sales staff, building new data centers and spending a lot of money on marketing.

More transparency

"I am very pleased with our continued progress in the search engine business and in building two of our newer growth areas," Group CEO Sundar Pichai announced, referring to YouTube and cloud services with IT services and storage on the Internet.

Pichai, who after successes as head of the subsidiary Google also took over the leadership of the umbrella company Alphabet from co-founder Larry Page in December, has now set new standards in terms of transparency in his first presentation of financial statements. (SDA)

Visualpark turns up the heat for Naef Group

Zurich-based film production company Visualpark has directed and produced five TV commercials for pipe renovation specialist Naef Group. The new campaign uses humorous everyday situations to address the topics of ice-cold floors and rust in tap water.

naef-group_visualpark_01

The Naef Group, based in Freienbach SZ, specializes in the renovation of drinking water and underfloor heating pipes. If rust is detected in the tap water or the efficiency of an underfloor heating system decreases, it is usually cheaper and more efficient to renovate the inside of a pipe than to break up walls and floors to replace pipes completely.

Leisurely curling instead of Calgon fingers

Internal pipe renovation is an area in which Naef Group would like to continue to grow. To support this, Visualpark shot five TV commercials dealing with the problem areas of cold floors and rust water. The aim was not to use Calgon, but to work with humorous situations that arise when a floor becomes ice-cold or a pipe lets rust water flow instead of tap water.

Residents are not fazed by icy floors and enjoy a game of curling, an ice hockey match or a pirouette on the living room ice. The spots on the subject of rusty water are full of surprising moments. Anyone who is presented with brownish water immediately realizes that the Naef Group will soon have to be contacted. This applies to humans and pets alike.

Broad-based campaign

The underfloor heating films can be seen this winter. The drinking water commercials will be broadcast in spring on local stations in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland, on various social media channels and in cinemas.

campfire-team-2020

VSGP, the umbrella organization of Swiss vegetable producers, now relies on Campfire's experience in user experience research and design, as well as SEO analysis and content strategy to build a new content-driven and user-centric platform.

StiftungSchweiz from Basel is also a new member of Campfire's customer base. With the online portal Stiftungschweiz.ch and innovative digital services, StiftungSchweiz promotes the dialogue between donors, funding foundations, project sponsors and service providers and aims to sustainably increase the transparency and efficiency of philanthropic activities. Since its founding in 2013, Campfire has evolved into a digital agency in the field of UX strategy and UX design. In addition to the new clients mentioned above, Unicef Switzerland, Swatch, the City of Biel and Twinings are among the long-standing clients who rely on the agency's experience and expertise.

The Graubünden brand is looking for an agency to further develop its corporate design

The Graubünden brand is now looking for a suitable agency to review and further develop the CD basics.

eader-graubündenferien_logo

Since its launch in 2003, the CD principles of the Graubünden brand have been continuously supplemented and updated several times in certain areas. With the "Brand Architecture 2.0" project, the appearance of the brand is now to undergo a fundamental, holistic review and further development, as the world has changed in many ways since the launch.

To this end, the Graubünden brand office will now award a contract to review, update and - where necessary and appropriate - further develop the brand architecture.

The agency selection will take place via a two-stage submission procedure in accordance with GATT/WTO. From the applications received, which can be submitted until February 27, a maximum of five suitable applicants will be selected to submit an offer or participate in the agency pitch.
