Radio Grischa for the whole of Graubünden

Starting January 1, 2014, Radio Grischa will broadcast throughout Graubünden and the Sargans region under the same name. The Radio Engiadina programming block will now also be broadcast under the name Radio Grischa.

Nothing will change for listeners in southern Grisons, Radio Grischa said in a statement on Wednesday. At the usual hours, an independent, regional program will be created from the Samedan studio. By merging the brands into a single station name, Südostschweiz Radio aims to strengthen its brand presence, reduce duplication and also make it easier for listeners from outside the region to identify the station.

Also from January 2014, a separate program for the Engadine will be produced and broadcast. For this purpose, between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., the Radio Grischa program will be split into two independent parts. For South Grisons, a local radio team from the Samedan studio reports on local and regional events. In the coming weeks, this program will be further developed and geared even more to the specific needs of the audience in the south of the canton. According to the announcement, Radio Grischa wants to additionally intensify its reporting from the Engadine with local village events.

BCS says it is one of the highest-reach radio providers in central Germany. In addition to Hitradio RTL, the company also owns six local stations. In her 25-year journalistic career, Müller has been a presenter and member of the program management team at Radio DRS3 and a presenter at 3sat, among other positions. In September, she announced her departure from Zurich-based private radio station Radio 24 at the end of October after five and a half years (Werbewoche.ch reported). She wanted to reorient herself professionally, she said, explaining the decision. Müller will move from Zurich to Dresden for the new job. (SDA)

Content&form: TV commercial for Melectronics

Inhalt&Form created a TV commercial for Melectronics that demonstrates what "cross-channel" means. It was directed by Michael Steiner.

"We are where you are" describes what Melectronics means by cross-channel: The customer decides when and where they want to shop. Whether online or stationary, Melectronics products are available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. The customer alone also decides where the products are delivered. Whether to a store, to their home or to a location of their choice, delivery is always free of charge.

This short definition of cross channel has been transformed 1:1 by Inhalt&Form into a TV commercial: In 26 seconds, it shows what can become of a marketing definition when advertising people and a renowned director get to grips with it.

Responsible at Melectronics: Patrick Marti (Head of Specialty Store), Janine Rigg-Widemann (Head of Store Operations/POP). Responsible for content&form: Serge Riedener (CD), Karin Estermann (AD), Fabian Zahner (text/concept), Nicolas Stark (graphics), Anita Roth, Jürg Meyer (consulting). Futurecom: Energy check put online

With Energieschweiz.ch, the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) maintains an information portal with the aim of answering the population's energy questions. Futurecom has implemented a consumption calculator for this purpose.

To counteract the steady rise in energy demand, the SFOE is working to change consumers' behavior, according to a statement. But hardly any Swiss know whether their energy consumption is high or low. To change this, the SFOE is launching the Energy Check.

This question can now be answered quickly thanks to a tool implemented by Futurecom. Interested parties are guided through the areas of heating/hot water, electricity and mobility on the basis of easy-to-answer questions, and thanks to data exchange via web services, their consumption is continuously calculated and illustrated. In the final evaluation, users can see at a glance how much energy they are consuming. There are also practical tips and advice on how to save energy, which can be saved as a PDF together with the results of the energy check.

Energieschweiz also uses the energy check directly on site at various trade fairs in a form optimized for tablets. In addition, the energy check was implemented with web services in such a way that it can also be used by interested third parties.

Paul Gredinger died

Paul Gredinger, former CEO of the once internationally active agency GGK, is dead. He died on Sunday at his residence in Thalwil ZH. Gredinger was 86 years old.

"Paul Gredinger died Oct. 6." The obituary published Tuesday consists of just this one sentence. Hermann Strittmatter, head of GGK Zurich, confirmed an obituary in the NZZ on Tuesday. Strittmatter added on request that Gredinger had been suffering from cancer for some time. Gredinger's active activity as GGK managing director dates back several years. Karl Gerstner and Markus Kutter founded the advertising agency in Basel in 1959, and three years later Gredinger, who had studied architecture, joined them. GGK made a name for itself with unconventional campaigns. In addition to up to five GGK offices in Germany, there were also offices in London and Paris. In New York, the agency worked with a partner. In the late 1980s, GGK began to flounder economically. In 1990, Gredinger finally sold his shares to the PR agency Trimedia. Later, parts were sold to TWBA. In 1999, Strittmatters' Zurich office left the TWBA Group again and has since been operating under the name GGK again.

Le Temps: Ringier and Tamedia plan sale

Ringier and Tamedia are seeking a buyer for the daily newspaper Le Temps by June 2014. If no compelling offer is received, they intend to consider purchasing the other party’s stake. A swap deal involving Le Matin is not on the table.

Ringier and Tamedia each hold 46.2 percent of Le Temps. An editorial association holds 2.4 percent, the French newspaper Le Monde 2.1 percent and Geneva banker Claude Demole 3.05 percent. With a strong majority shareholder, the best conditions for continued existence and further development would be created in view of the structural challenges facing the media industry, Ringier and Tamedia jointly announced on Tuesday.

The buyer should be aware of the importance of the daily newspaper for French-speaking Switzerland and be able to offer employees a perspective. The offer is valid until the first half of 2014, as Christoph Zimmer, Head of Corporate Communications at Tamedia, said in response to an inquiry from the SDA news agency.

No swap deal with Le Matin

Regarding the profitability of the quality paper, Zimmer stated that it was "not making a loss. Rumors surfaced in the summer that Ringier and Tamedia were planning to swap their stakes in Le Temps and Le Matin. However, a sale or swap of Le Matin is "not an issue," Zimmer said Tuesday. The tabloid Le Matin is wholly owned by Tamedia. Le Temps was created in 1998 from the merger of the daily newspapers Journal de Genève et Gazette de Lausanne and Le Nouveau Quotidien. According to the latest figures, the printed edition has 115'000 readers. Circulation is 39'716 copies. (SDA)

Last but not least: Journalist wanted

Anna, a 32-year-old «journalist,» is looking for «a man.» Is the dating site Edarling.ch using this ad to critique the media?

On Monday, SRF presenter Conny Brügger via Twitter to this interesting advertisement - placed on Tagesanzeiger.ch:

edarling-01

Edarling.ch confidently takes up the current debate on quality in the media. Who or what is a journalist? What do they do? Do they have to know the grammatical cases or can they use them? Frank A. Meyer sends his regards - google it if necessary? How long does an internship have to last before you can put "journalist" on your business card? Do child soldiers automatically become journalists when they reach the age of 18? How many more journalists can the PR industry grant asylum to before it falls into crisis itself? So many questions. And yet Anna was only looking for a man. Ideally a journalist too, so that they could laugh together about Kurt Imhof's latest tome.

Sophia might have an easier time of it. After 35 years, the lawyer would like to finally have the opportunity to have some quality conversations. The men's world can rejoice, because she has a lot to talk about: Not only is she a book author and lecturer for "Dutch for self-study"...

edarling-02

...but also pulls wisdom teeth in her spare time:

edarling-03

So our Sophia is sure to provide sophisticated, romantic evening entertainment. Wisdom tooth stories are known to be one of the most popular topics of conversation and are a kind of national sport in Switzerland. However, if the doctor suddenly pulls the pliers out of her handbag, say goodbye with a friendly but firm "Vaarwel, ik moet gaan".

The Messenger gets a new editor-in-chief

Jürg Auf der Maur, the Blick Group's political editor, is moving to Schwyz, where he will once again become editor-in-chief of the *Boten der Urschweiz* in 2014. He previously held this position from 1993 to 2000.

The 52-year-old Auf der Maur has been Head of Politics in the Blick Group newsroom for a year. He is now returning to his roots, as the daily newspaper Bote der Urschweiz reported on Tuesday. The doctor of history from Goldau SZ was editor-in-chief of the Bote from 1993 to 2000 and a member of the management team. He then headed the domestic section of the Neue Luzerner Zeitung. From 2008 to 2012, he was chief reporter for Zentralschweiz am Sonntag before moving to Blick. Auf der Mauer announced his move on Twitter with the words "Back to the roots". It is not yet clear when he will take up his new position. Acting Editor-in-Chief Josias Clavadetscher took over the position from Auf der Maur 13 years ago. Clavadetscher will retire in summer 2014. However, he intends to continue writing for the Boten as a freelance journalist.

Bote now cooperates with the Neue Luzerner Zeitung

From 2014, after 16 years, the Bote der Urschweiz will no longer be part of the Südostschweiz publishing group (Werbewoche.ch reported). The paper moves to the Neue Luzerner Zeitung, which belongs to the NZZ Group. As a result of the cooperation between the Boten and the Neue Luzerner Zeitung, the smaller Neue Schwyzer Zeitung (Werbewoche.ch reported). The five jobs affected are to be integrated into the existing editorial offices. In future, the Bote will take over the national editorial section and the national advertisements from the Neue Luzerner Zeitung. The focus of the regional section will remain unchanged.

As a result of the incorporation, the newspaper should be able to increase its circulation from 15,000 to over 16,000 copies and reach over 70 percent of households in the Schwyz region every day. The circulation of the entire edition of the Neue Luzerner Zeitung is expected to increase to around 130,000 copies. Bote publisher Hugo Triner wants to continue the 155-year-old family tradition of Bote publishers. The publishing rights to the Bote der Urschweiz are to be transferred to a new foundation. (SDA)
