Ruf Lanz most successful agency at ADC
On Saturday evening, the ADC Awards took place at the Volkshaus in Zurich. The name Ruf Lanz came up more often than usual during the awards ceremony—and the agency was understandably delighted.
Ruf Lanz was the most awarded agency and received many awards for its campaigns for Suva, Bank Coop, Schweizer Milch, Welti-Furrer, Hiltl or VBZ. The following weighting is used to calculate the creative ranking in Werbewoche: Shortlist = 1 point, Bronze = 2 points, Silver = 4 points, Gold or Evergreen = 7 points.
According to this key, the ranking is as follows:
1. reputation Lanz: 67 points
2. Publicis Communications Switzerland: 54 points
3rd Leo Burnett Switzerland: 44 points
Ruf Lanz is particularly pleased about the Evergreen for the Suva leisure safety campaigns. According to its definition, ADC awards the Evergreen to "excellent campaigns that have demonstrated the highest level of strategic and conceptual excellence for at least three years. In the case of the Suva campaigns, the creative consistency over a period of twelve years was honored. Werbewoche.ch presents the casemovie with some highlights from twelve years of Suva advertising, which was shown at the ADC awards ceremony on Saturday.
The creative ranking is published in the last advertising week of each year. You can find the complete medal table of this year's ADC Awards on Adc.ch
Last but not least: Meet my doppelganger
Three friends want to find their real-life look-alikes online. The social media project is already yielding amazing results.
Seven people in the world look like you. Or so they say. The problem is that the likelihood of running into at least one of them by chance is zero. At least it was before anyone with a good idea could suddenly attract the world's attention in the blink of an eye through social media.

In the "Twin Strangers" experiment, three young Irishmen, Harry, Niamh and Terrence, have set themselves the task of finding a new way to live together within 28 days with the help of Facebook to find the perfect doppelganger. The challenge started on March 30. Whoever mobilizes the best lookalike wins the challenge. The interesting experiment went - you guessed it - viral immediately.
While the two male competitors are still struggling to find really good doppelgangers, Niamh has already met one of her unknown twins after just two weeks. Although Niamh received submissions from all over the world, her best match lives just an hour away from her. The video of the meeting has already been viewed five and a half million times in just a few days. Incidentally, the film is called "Meeting my doppelganger" - just in case you weren't aware that the word is used 1:1 with an umlaut in English.
"Twin Strangers" will run for another week. The trio will keep you up to date with their search on their blog. If you look like one of the trio, please get in touch. The famous 15 minutes of fame would be guaranteed. (hae)

Now the agency has been awarded the contract by the Bavarian four-star superior hotel Das Kranzbach - one of the best German wellness resorts near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where everyday stress has no place. To ensure that the hotel's benefits are also more widely known in Switzerland, Das Kranzbach is commissioning the agency to act as its PR and media office in Switzerland. Project management for this mandate is being handled by Jeannette Scherrer, Project Manager Communications & Media and Carmen Keller, Project Assistant, together with agency owner Ewa Ming.

Crafft: Sanitas goes digital
For Sanitas, digital transformation is a top priority. This is also reflected in all areas of communication. Crafft is supporting Sanitas on this journey and has designed a new annual report for the health insurance company, which went live online a few days ago.
The 2014 Annual Report of Sanitas Health Insurance presents the year from various perspectives: Classified and commented on from the perspective of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO, as well as quickly comprehensible in the graphically prepared key figures and, for the first time, in an illustrated timeline. Consequently, the publication is only available online; a PDF version is available for financial analysts in the download area. In the three multimedia focal points, the health insurance company uses contemporary storytelling to show how it is developing new services in line with customer needs: In a video, the project manager presents the strengths of the new Sanitas app for mobile customers in a suitable setting. For the medication check, a patient, the head of health programs, and a pharmacology professor from nUniversity Hospital Zurich have their say in audio files. And the Priority Access service is clearly explained in an interview with a consultant, in an infographic, and in several customer statements.

"Today's law only serves naysayers"
With the new Radio and Television Act, private households would have to pay fewer fees than today. This is emphasized by the proponents. On Monday, they campaigned for a yes vote in the referendum on 14 June - and criticized the trade association.
The new law will bring more fairness, less bureaucracy and lower radio and television fees for everyone, CVP National Councillor Martin Candinas (GR) told the media in Bern. The revision of the law is urgently needed because the current law is outdated. Today, only those who own a radio or television pay. However, every smartphone and every laptop is also a radio and a television. This means that practically all households and companies would actually be obliged to pay radio and television fees. However, the reality is different. Only 4.8 percent of companies paid fees in 2012, and not all households that were obliged to do so paid. "The honest people pay for the black consumers," Candinas pointed out.
No more seeing and hearing black
The new law provides for a system change: The device-based fee is to be replaced by a fee per household and company. According to the Federal Council, this would reduce the fee from CHF 462 to around CHF 400. In the case of companies, 75 percent would be exempt from the fee - all those with a turnover of less than half a million francs. A further 9 percent would pay less than today. "In future, there will no longer be any nonspeakers," said Candinas. The law thus ensures greater fairness. In addition, private regional radio and television broadcasters and thus media diversity would be strengthened.
Trade opposition incomprehensible
This alone should actually convince the majority of voters, said Regula Rytz, National Councillor for the Greens (BE). However, the new fee system has other advantages. For example, all residents of retirement and nursing homes would now be exempt from the fee. Furthermore, people who do not use the media could be exempted from the fee during a transitional phase of five years. And finally, the law clarifies the situation of companies. A large proportion will be "officially" exempt from the fee. The industry's opposition is incomprehensible. "It is a mystery to me why they want to prevent such an improvement," said Rytz.
Everything at any time and anywhere
SP National Councillor Edith Graf-Litscher (TG) sees the referendum against the law, which was initiated by the trade association, simply as an "attack on the public service in the media sector". She also believes that the new regulation is actually in the interests of the industry. However, Graf-Litscher was confident that the voters would approve the law. Media use has changed considerably, she noted. The principle of "everything at all times and everywhere" applies. The general public is not closed to this reality. She therefore believes that the system change will find a majority.
No more annoying inspectors
For FDP National Councillor Olivier Français (VD) and BDP National Councillor Urs Gasche (BE), the focus is on reducing the administrative burden. The proposed regulation is "impressively lean", said Gasche. Today, Billag employs an army of bureaucrats and inspectors. The new RTVA would no longer require any annoying Billag controls. This means that the money is available for the constitutional purpose. "When you consider that the current law only serves the black listeners and viewers, the massive campaign against the new law is somewhat surprising", said Gasche.
Companies cheat
According to the calculations of the Yes Committee, the economy would actually have to pay over half a billion today if the law were implemented consistently. In future, it would still be 200 million. If the industry's contribution today only amounts to CHF 40 million, this merely shows that a large number of receivers are not registered. The non-partisan Yes committee also emphasizes that the vote is solely about the modalities of financing radio and television. "Contrary to what the referendum campaign has suggested so far, we are not voting on how much public service we want or whether we like the SRG's program," said Candinas. The SVP and the GLP, which have adopted the "No" slogan, are not represented on the committee. (SDA)
Matter Gretener Lesch: Help needs solidarity
Rega’s new donor campaign focuses on how emergencies can occur and how rapid medical assistance from the air can prevent the worst from happening. The campaign was conceived and implemented by Matter Gretener Lesch in collaboration with Goldbach Interactive.
The surprising creative twist: instead of showing the rescued person and letting them tell what happened, as is usual in testimonial campaigns, in the new Rega campaign you only hear their voice while the camera stages the scene from various angles. The fact that the recollections of the people in distress do not follow a script, but are absolutely authentic, provides additional emotionality. Heart of the integrated campaign: the landing page MyRescue.ch with - for the time being - four films, which can be accessed via banners and QR codes on advertisements, RailPosters and posters. The textual binder on the films makes it clear that it is the patrons who make Rega's care possible: "Help needs solidarity. Yours."

Responsible at Rega: Sascha Hardegger (Head of Communications and Patrons), Simone Wohnlich (Head of Marketing), Maria Betschart (Marketing), Susanne Meurer (Marketing & Cooperations). Kargo: New campaign for Swiss vegetables
The image campaign for Swiss vegetables, which was launched last year, will start anew on April 20 with a poster campaign, followed by TV spots, online campaigns, advertisements and other measures.
"Swiss vegetables - tailored to every taste." With this claim, the Association of Swiss Vegetable Producers will be promoting its vegetables in several major cities from April 20, 2015 with a new poster campaign. The "Salat" (lettuce), "Radiesli" (radish) and "Spargeln" (asparagus) subjects will be on display. Then, in summer, "Carrots," "Summer vegetables," "Tomatoes," and "Cauliflower.
In addition, the "Spring Vegetables" commercial will be broadcast on TV and the Internet from April 27. Advertisements will also be placed in cooking magazines and the campaign will have a presence at various trade fairs, events and on Facebook until the fall.
The Bern-based agency Kargo Kommunikation is responsible for the concept, planning and realization of all advertising materials for the campaign. The aim of the campaign is to draw consumers' attention to the advantages and freshness of Swiss vegetables. The campaign focuses on the enjoyment, variety and seasonality of Swiss vegetables. Seasonal vegetables are available every month. The variety - especially in the summer months - is great. The website Gemuese.ch in the layout of the campaign contains information about the different vegetables, tips & tricks, an online store, farm stores, growing methods, ecology and much more, in addition to recipes.
Online shoppers capitulate to choice on the web
Online shoppers are overwhelmed by the vast selection available on the Internet and therefore limit themselves to just one or two websites that they use. This is the conclusion of a recent British study by «Carat's Consumer Connection System.».
"To make a better decision, most consumers listen to the advice of their friends," explains Dan Hagen from Carat. Over half (55%) of all UK internet users only browse a very small number of sites they are familiar with. Meanwhile, the enormous selection of websites for research and shopping is ignored. The five most visited providers are BBC, Amazon, Google, ITV and eBay.
Recommendations from friends in vogue
Four out of ten online shoppers also say that they feel overwhelmed by the huge range of options on the internet. 26 percent state that they cannot decide what to buy because they have too many different options. Overall, a third find recommendations from friends more trustworthy than advertisements. In addition, 44 percent engage with friends' online content. "This creates interesting opportunities and challenges for brands. Smart content and clever delivery strategies, combined with new partnerships from companies, help advertising agencies to target content to exactly the right audience," concludes Hagen. (pte)
Political show "Arena" with new concept
On Friday evening, "Arena" presented a completely revamped program concept. The large round table has been replaced by several small desks. The presenter also has new tools at his disposal.
New in the "Arena" are the so-called "test bench" and the "objection". A guest is invited to the test bench to have an in-depth one-on-one discussion with them, as Swiss Radio and Television SRF announced on Friday.
During this discussion, presenter Jonas Projer has the opportunity to call in two experts to clarify issues. However, the experts can also join in during the normal discussion at the touch of a button if they wish to "object" to a statement made by a guest.
SRF writes that inserts and graphics also offer the presenter the opportunity to further deepen the discussion. The appearance in terms of decor, sound and graphics has also been revised.
Objectives of the program remain unchanged
Despite all the new features, the values and objectives of the program remain unchanged, according to SRF: The discussion program should be "impartial, fair, critical and factual" and enable a substantive debate between parties, politicians and other protagonists with political positions.
The first program after the relaunch was dedicated to the topic "Marignano to Moscow - who still believes in neutrality today?". Jonas Projer's guests were National Councillor and leader of the GLP parliamentary group Tiana Angelina Moser (ZH), National Councillor and SVP parliamentary group leader Adrian Amstutz (BE), National Councillor Jakob Büchler (CVP/SG) and former Geneva SP National Councillor Jean Ziegler.
The first "Arena" show flickered across Swiss screens on August 27, 1993. The presenter was Filippo Leutenegger, who later became an FDP National Councillor and is now a Zurich City Councillor. He was followed by Patrick Rohr, Urs Leuthard, Reto Brennwald, Sonja Hasler and Urs Wiedmer, and in the second half of 2014 Jonas Projer finally became the new editorial director and presenter of "Arena". SRF had already announced the relaunch for 2015. So far, 926 editions have been broadcast. (SDA)
Brand agency sponsors "breaking point
On Friday evening, By Heart hosted a gallery visit for the «Sollbruchstelle» exhibition at Werdstrasse 126. The art project “Sollbruchstelle,” which explores the transition from old to new buildings, is sponsored by the brand identity agency.
Sollbruchstelle curates exhibitions in and on buildings that are to be demolished and replaced by new structures. For this purpose, it invites artists who pay tribute to the dying building one last time with their work - and also take a look into the future with their works. The art in the current exhibition on Werdstrasse will also disappear when the building is demolished.
By Heart supports Sollbruchstelle because it "wantonly creates a precarious state of transition and pleasurably occupies it with art. And because it thereby opens the view for messages that are completely realized in the here and now." As an agency for brand appearances, he says, it is "also oriented toward the possibilities and instruments of art."

One of the invited artists is Nora Steiner. She painted the windows of the former car body shop to do something special for the last time with the light that has invaded the space over the decades.

Jürg Egli used the sunlight and rain penetrating through the collapsed skylight to grow a moss field in the room. He discovered this primordial plant, which has existed for 380-450 million years, on the roof of the dilapidated building. On the moss field sprouts a rapidly decaying cress bed in the form of the sleeping artist.

The agency celebrated on Friday with clients, partners and friends at Werdstrasse and organized for the occasion two tours of the gallery in the presence of the artists.
