Lab2 designs for Kunsthaus Zürich

For the exhibition featuring John Waters—the extraordinary director and «enfant terrible of American cinema»—Lab2 is designing posters, exhibition flyers, and the exhibition signage.

The little big bang for the new appearance took place on a rainy Saturday morning. A veritable parade through the still sleeping alley was celebrated. Led by drummers and bagpipers from the surrounding highlands of St. Gallen, employees, customers and friends carried boxes with dignity through Goliathgasse. Weeks in advance, "the parade" was advertised on all social media channels, with postal parade cards sent to around 15,000 customers and with guerrilla campaigns in trendy clubs and on the street.

Last but not least: living more beautifully

A completely normal article in a home magazine about a family's dream home. Almost completely normal. Because FCB Auckland has provided the photos with subtle references to domestic violence.

Domestic violence doesn't just happen in the lower social classes on the margins of society. It happens everywhere - even where you wouldn't expect it. For example, in houses that are usually presented in the best light in architecture and interior design magazines. In families and marriages that appear perfect on the outside. Specifically, in one in four New Zealand homes occupied by a higher income bracket. FCB Auckland shows this in a campaign worth seeing, which was created in collaboration with New Zealand's most important home magazine Home. At first glance, it is a completely normal article in which a family describes the perfect house in the perfect location - "Paradise Hill". On every page, inconsistencies in the photos hint that perhaps not everything is as perfect as the text suggests. The result of the campaign, on the other hand, was perfect: suddenly the whole of New Zealand was talking about the issue - in the mass media and on social media. (hae)

Swiss advertising market continues to decline

The advertising market in Switzerland continued to weaken in July. Advertising spend fell by 1.4 percent year-over-year to 283.1 million francs. Cumulatively over seven months, total advertising spend is also down 1 percent to 2.66 billion francs.

Traditionally, July is always the weakest month for advertising, writes the market research company Media Focus in its press release on Tuesday. Compared to July 2014, companies from the cosmetics and personal care (-24.6 percent), services (-22.1 percent) and public transport (-26.9 percent) sectors once again placed fewer advertisements. By contrast, advertising for vehicles (+39.6%) was in the fast lane, but more was also spent on advertising in the fashion and sporting goods sector (+11.8%) and by pharmaceutical companies (+12.3%). Advertising placements are valued for the statistics at the official rates of the advertising media. Discounts are therefore not taken into account. (SDA)

Sunrise focuses increasingly on digitization

Sunrise is using changing user behavior as an opportunity to revamp its online presence to deliver a new customer experience. Together with its partners Adobe, Hybris, Hinderling Volkart, and Namics, the company is implementing a new digital strategy.

Whereas consumers today primarily obtain information online and then conclude the contract offline, user behavior in the future will be characterized by online purchasing and online self-servicing. Physical customer care will increasingly develop in the direction of sophisticated advice and live experience in the store. In order to be prepared for this change, Sunrise has decided, together with partners, to fundamentally revise the digital interaction with the customer and to align it with the future, according to a statement.

The new solution enables both a consistent multichannel experience for customers and the implementation of a multibrand strategy, thus taking into account key elements of the Sunrise positioning. Step by step, Sunrise.ch will be expanded with the new digital experience from the end of 2015 to a personalized website that specifically adapts to the needs of customers. With the chosen mobile-first approach, Sunrise customers are to be picked up where they are at the moment. Sunrise.ch thus becomes the customer's daily companion. In addition, complex digital processes in the back office are simplified, thus shortening the innovation cycles for new products and services.

"Sunrise will take advantage of the opportunities arising from increasing digitalization and thus further improve the customer experience. The digitization strategy will help Sunrise to be even closer to the needs of its customers while optimizing its processes," says CMO Timm Degenhardt. Sunrise customers will be able to reach their goal easily and quickly on the new online platform with clear answers that precisely meet their personal requirements.

Specifically, the project includes the following components of each partner:

Mobile First is supported by the digital agency Hinderling Volkart developed into the principle for the new Sunrise platform - for the concept, the design and the development of the apps and the online presence. Mobile First means a reduction to the essentials - in terms of content, function and design.

To obtain a 360-degree customer view, Sunrise will in future rely on the marketing cloud from Adobe. This helps Sunrise deliver a meaningful, consistent experience to customers across channels. Behind the scenes, the Adobe Experience Manager central content management system ensures personalized and relevant content that puts the customer at the center of every interaction.

The multichannel solution from Hubris enables consistent communication across all channels that customers expect today. By dovetailing all areas that are important for the business, it is also possible to streamline internal processes, which contributes, for example, to fast, user-friendly and personalized customer service and to the faster and more cost-effective introduction of new products and services.

For the implementation of the Adobe Experience Manager and Hybris as a multichannel solution, the Namics responsible. In addition, the full-service web service provider is responsible for the functional and technical specification of the platform along Sunrise's digitization strategy. To optimize the customer experience, the focus is on personalizing the entire platform, for which Namics supports Sunrise in the introduction of additional tools from the Adobe Marketing Cloud.

New PR department for Trio

As PR is playing an increasingly important role in the communication strategies of the Trio agency, a department has been created to deal exclusively with this area in future.

As a full-service communications agency, Trio has always integrated PR. To date, Trio has demonstrated its expertise in this area in 360-degree campaigns for General Motors, Ovomaltine, Rivella and XXSIM.

The strengthening of PR skills by the newly launched department is also the result of two new 100% PR mandates: Easyfairs, a trade fair organizer in the B2B sector, and the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation in Nottwil (Switzerland's second-largest non-profit organization with 1.8 million patrons). With this new mainstay, Trio has further expanded its range of services and hit the bull's eye.
