Ruf Lanz promotes Haus Konstruktiv with Merkel

Today, the most powerful woman in the world is visiting Switzerland. Ruf Lanz is seizing the opportunity with a pointed individual subject for the Museum Haus Konstruktiv.

After all, Merkel's famous, geometric-looking rhombus suggests a flair for concrete and constructive art...

Farner acquires change management agency

With Enzaim, Farner is acquiring an agency specializing in change communication and organizational development that has six employees.

Enzaim's customers will continue to be served by their existing consultants. They benefit - just like the clients of the Farner agency - from an even broader range of consulting services.

Enzaim has existed for twelve years and is managed by three partners, Cordula Rieger, Tanja Passow and Nils Rickert. The consulting firm has established itself as an organizational developer with the special disciplines of change communication, organizational culture and change management.

At Farner, Enzaim's experts will form a market unit specializing in change support and thus make an important complementary contribution to the consulting offering, Farner wrote in a statement on Thursday.

"We see an ever-increasing customer need to design and communicate change in such a way that employees are willing to go along for the ride. C-level management has recognized that major change projects often fail and that professional support is an investment in the company's success," says Nils Rickert, previously a partner at Enzaim and now a member of the Farner Consulting management team. Roman Geiser, CEO & Managing Partner of Farner: "By combining the competencies of Enzaim and Farner, we want to once again live up to our reputation of being the most comprehensive agency in Switzerland, offering our clients integrated solutions from a single source. We are tapping into new complementary client markets in HR and organizational development, which we had already identified as growth areas in recent years."

In addition, Enzaim will bring an important partnership to the joint future: Enzaim also represents the international change consulting firm Metaplan in Switzerland. Farner will use this relationship - analogous to the already established partner relationships with other international agencies - for joint business development.

Swiss WordPress community meets for Wordcamp

WordPress is the most popular web software of all. Its greatest asset is its community—and that community doesn’t just talk shop online. On September 18 and 19, it will gather at Zurich’s Technopark for WordCamp. We’re giving away two tickets.

Thanks to WordPress, even non-experts have been able to create acceptable-looking websites for over a decade. The open-source software is free and can be installed relatively easily and adapted to your own needs. So simple, in fact, that more than half of all websites worldwide created with the help of a CMS are now based on WordPress.

Pascal Birchler is no longer an amateur user - even though he originally discovered WordPress for blogging. At the tender age of twelve, he created his first weblog and began blogging more and more about WordPress topics.

He is now a qualified computer scientist and recently started working for the web company Required, which offers services almost exclusively for WordPress. "You can very well create complex websites based on WordPress," he is convinced. Larger web agencies also rely on the open source software. Read more about this in the Print edition the advertising week.

Birchler is one of the organizers of the Wordcamp 2015. The two-day event at Technopark is aimed not only at software developers, but also at users, bloggers and designers who want to keep up to date with the fast-moving web CMS. The program includes speakers such as Konstantin Obenland (Automattic) and Petya Raykovska (Human Made).

Would you like to take part in the Wordcamp on September 18/19? Advertising Week makes it possible: We are sending two of our readers to Wordcamp free of charge. Send us an e-mail to [email protected] stating your name and company. As always, your data will not be passed on to third parties.

What do YOU actually want?

We want your honest feedback! We put together *Werbewoche* for you. That’s why we need to know how you prefer to read it.

Please take a few minutes to answer our reader survey:

What the heart desires

Evoq has developed a comprehensive brand identity for Switzerland's first outpatient heart clinic.

In just three months, Evoq realized all brand and design elements of the new brand identity of the cardiac clinic in Pfäffikon, from the new clinic name Cardiance Clinic to the door sign. A comprehensive Website and the entire business and marketing documentation round off the communication activities.

The new appearance focuses on the holistic care of patients and expresses the combination of modern, cutting-edge medicine with a relaxed, familiar atmosphere. The bright, friendly color concept and the organic shape of the logo have also been translated into the interior design and signage.

Evoq also organized a specialist symposium for top cardiology physicians as well as the opening event, which took place at the same time and was attended by over 100 invited guests from the worlds of medicine and politics.

Webguerillas: Athletics stars race Swiss employees

Swiss is the official airline of the Swiss athletes and Weltklasse Zürich. To promote this partnership, the Zurich-based webguerillas have developed a campaign.

Under the motto "World class on the ground. World class in the air.", two films show that Swiss is just as passionate about the sport of athletics as it is about flying.

One spot shows the women's relay team with Mujinga Kambundji, Sara Atcho, Lea Sprunger and Marisa Lavanchy strolling through Zurich Airport and encountering a group of flight attendants. Because, unlike the sprinters, they are on the treadmill, the Swiss employees see their chance and challenge the athletes to a running duel.

The other spot revolves around hurdler Kariem Hussein and the women's relay team: because he is in danger of missing his flight, he turns to a helpful Swiss pilot. He sprints with him in best hurdler style to the check-in counter, where his team colleagues are already waiting.

And fans are also encouraged to show their passion for athletics: Anyone who supports the Swiss athletes with a post on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook using the #hoppswiss will automatically be entered into a prize draw. There are world-class tickets and flight vouchers to be won.

In addition, a social wall on the Swiss stand at Zurich main station will show live incoming posts and tweets with #hoppswiss from all over the world during September 1 and 2.

Last but not least: Zalando for ornamental fish

Comedian Harry G has scored a viral hit on Facebook with a rant video about the startup scene. In doing so, he’s drawing attention to the Munich startup conference Bits & Pretzels.

Mobile first, Digga: the all-round attack on the start-up scene has been viewed over 115,000 times since it was published on Tuesday and has been liked and shared almost a thousand times each. It seems as if the Bavarian comedian has hit the nail on the head with his rant. "95 percent of all start-ups are a huge piece of shit. The probability that your company will be one of them is pretty high," is the sobering outlook on the resounding idea for success. It probably won't be "something like Zalando for ornamental fish". To summarize: "They're going all Wolf of Wall Street, but it's nothing more than a Punch and Judy in a shared office. Oh, co-working space". (hae)

Vizner Borel for the AVKZ: When nothing works anymore

Earlier this year, Vizner Borel won the Zurich Cantonal Pharmacists' Association as a new client through a pitch. The first results of that work are now on display.

The Zurich agency made use of a well-known visual: the emergency exit sign, which was transformed into an emergency entrance sign. The various indication areas are incorporated both visually and verbally and implemented with a wink in the advertisements, posters and at the POS. With the new claim "Your pharmacy. The direct route to recovery.", the pharmacy's value proposition is formulated in a catchy way. In addition to all pharmacies in the canton of Zurich, other pharmacies in German-speaking Switzerland are also participating in the campaign.

The magazine Générations Plus becomes Générations

The monthly magazine for the 50-plus generation in French-speaking Switzerland has a fresh new look and a new name—it’s now called Générations. Thanks to its new concept and new content, the magazine is setting new standards for quality.

Part of the French-speaking press since 1971, Générations Plus has positioned itself as the leading magazine for senior citizens in French-speaking Switzerland. With an increase of 10,000 readers this year and a total readership of 105,000 readers (Wemf), the magazine has a consistently stable readership. Demographic trends and changes in habits have played a key role in the decision to make this change.

csm_Generations_4a75ecb604

A qualitative leap

The new concept defines Générations as the magazine for all French-speaking Swiss over 50. The team of the monthly magazine has completely revised its content and structure and introduced new sections. New journalists have joined the générations team, additional infographics supplement the editorial section, while surveys and services (health, money, family, etc.) continue to emphasize the commitment that defines the magazine. The layout and logo are characterized by a modern, clear and dynamic design, which was created by the company Enzed from Lausanne.

Interaction between the magazine and the website has also been strengthened, allowing even better integration of the "silver surfers" who make up Générations' online community.

The new concept also goes hand in hand with a new communication campaign, which is based on the company's own understanding of age. Générations defines old age as the start of a long phase of active living, characterized by fun and the gathering and sharing of new experiences. True to the motto: age is not what society "prescribes", but what everyone makes of it with their behavior, wishes and experiences. générations magazine accompanies its readers on this journey, showing ideas for life (new baseline) without losing sight of its main task: To remain the opinion leader of a community that will grow exponentially. The campaign will be implemented as a 360° communication campaign with events and measures on TV, in the press, on the Internet, etc.

Clio Awards: Final places for Ruf Lanz, Stories and Serranetga

With Ruf Lanz, Stories and Serranetga, no less than three Zurich-based creative forges have made it onto the shortlist for this year's Clio Awards. The winners will be announced in the week of September 14.

The Clio Awards are one of the most prestigious international creative competitions, and are among the highest-scoring in Werbewoche's creative rankings. In the print category, Ruf Lanz made it onto the shortlist with its campaign for Welti Furrer-Kunsttransporte. The Campaign demonstrates how carefully works of art are transported with Welti Furrer. To this end, the creatives brought Mona Lisa, Vincent Van Gogh and Jan Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earring to life and placed them in first-class airplane cabins.

Stories has also made it onto the shortlist. In the "Film Technique" category, the Zurich-based film production company has the right to compete with the international Triump campaign "Find the one hope for one of the coveted Clio Awards. From mid-April to mid-May, a Swiss-made spot ran on German, English and Italian TV screens: With the concept of a mix of real and animated characters - unprecedented in the industry - Stories prevailed over international competitors and secured the direct order from the underwear label Triumph. The spot is part of the international campaign Find the One with US model Hannah Ferguson.

Last but not least, Serranetga also has a chance of winning some precious metal. As part of the launch campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S6, the party to celebrate the birth of the device took place at Zurich's main train station. On the screen of a five-meter-high Galaxy S6 edge, Seven imitated the moves of passers-by to his new song "Nobody wants to dance". What the participants didn't know was that this wasn't an avatar of the singer - Seven was live on site for a whole eight hours and was able to observe and react to what was happening in the hall via transmission. The official music video for the song was edited from over six hours of footage. (hae/pd)

Doodle launches campaign for safe way to school

The online scheduler Doodle launched a transnational campaign on Wednesday on the topic of «Safe routes to school for the little ones». The idea is for parents to get involved as traffic wardens.

The aim is to help first-graders in particular to get to school in the morning during the coming dark winter months. With a media campaign in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and accompanying social media measures, Doodle explains how it works - which official bodies should be contacted and ultimately how the duty roster can be easily organized among mothers and fathers with a Doodle survey. The first 50 groups of traffic helpers to send in a photo of their group will receive a Doodle starter set with a thermos flask, mugs and cozy fleece scarves for the cool morning shift. These entries will also be entered into a prize draw to win a high-quality compact camera - with a bit of luck, parents will be well equipped for future photos at school parties and class celebrations.
