Radio Zürisee expands broadcast area

Thanks to its new license, Radio Zürisee will be receivable throughout the canton of Zurich as early as January 2010. Four new FM transmitters will go into operation in the coming weeks.

In mid-December, Radio Zürisee switched on its future most important transmitter on the Üetliberg. Thanks to this transmitter, reception in the city of Zurich, its agglomeration and the district of Dietikon will be optimized, according to a statement from Radio Zürisee. With the commissioning of three further transmitters, Radio Zürisee can now be received without gaps in the districts of Affoltern, Bülach, Dielsdorf and Andelfingen. The radio station has already been heard in Winterthur and the surrounding area for several weeks. Radio Zürisee thus increases its listener potential to 1.5 million.
Tunnel coverage is also being expanded. At the end of January 2010, the very busy Gubrist Tunnel on Zurich's North Ring will be connected.

Y&R Group: Successful Geberit campaign with Melanie Winiger

In March, the Y&R Group launched a campaign featuring Melanie Winiger and Barbara Becker to promote Geberit’s new Aquaclean brand. The campaign for the restroom is a hit.

The campaign for the new Aquaclean brand was launched in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in March, with complete success in Switzerland: "Plumbers and wholesalers have become more active in marketing the product," says Geberit CEO Albert Baehny in an interview with the Handelszeitung. In Germany, too, things are going better than expected. A further campaign is therefore to be launched next year, which will focus more on the product than on the brand.
Melanie Winiger and Barbara Becker immerse themselves in a pond and waterfall in the commercial and declare: "I love water". The fact that this commercial does not say much about the product is not a problem, Baehny continues. The first campaign was more about making the brand known and arousing emotions.

Tamedia and Olmero establish strategic partnership

The Swiss media company Tamedia and Olmero are entering into a strategic partnership. Effective December 11, 2009, Tamedia will acquire a 20 percent stake in Olmero.

There is a possibility that Tamedia will increase its stake to more than 51 percent by 2013. Tamedia wrote this in a press release on Wednesday. An important goal of this partnership is the joint expansion of Renovero.ch into the leading Swiss platform for trade and service contracts. Olmero has been offering private homeowners, tenants and property managers the opportunity to find suitable tradesmen on this platform since 2007. Clients can use the platform to obtain free quotes from a pool of more than 6,000 qualified construction and trades companies and compare offers. Olmero's other business areas include virtual project rooms to improve collaboration in construction projects and a document printing service.
The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the partnership.

Campaign "Against violence" on own initiative

Since December 14, 2009, twelve well-known personalities from Eastern Switzerland have been appealing against violence: the striking posters are displayed on over 200 walls, signs, boards and windows throughout St.Gallen. There is no organization or institution behind the campaign, it is purely their own initiative.

It all started with an idea from St.Gallen photographer Tobias Siebrecht: the idea of no longer looking away, but doing something about it. Because everyone can take a stand against violence. And this is becoming increasingly necessary, as the propensity for violence is on the rise, according to a Vitamin2 press release. The attacks are becoming more and more brutal - and senseless. In conversations, Siebrecht discovered that he was not the only one fed up with this. Other exponents of art and culture in St.Gallen were prepared to take a stand on the posters. They all waived their fees, as did the designer Dominic Rechsteiner, the copywriter Hank Sulkowsky and the St.Gallen advertising agency Vitamin, which was responsible for the concept and organization. This gave the idea a face. On posters and also on the street, in clubs and at events, the NO-Pin makes a further statement. Discreet, but unmissable.
Responsible at "Against Violence": Tobias Siebrecht (photography and scouting). Responsible for vitamin 2: Hank Sulkowsky (text), Dominic Rechsteiner (design). Typotron (printing small posters), Riesenpunkt (printing F4 posters), Printlounge (NO pins), Clear Channel Outdoor (billboard F4) and 8 days a week (billboard small posters).

"We love to entertain you"

«ProSieben's »LOVE AIR" takes off with Zurich-Tokyo.

With 5 boat trips on 5 Swiss lakes, 4 star DJs and lots of wild parties, "We Love Boat" was a complete success for the promo for ProSieben's Swiss window. A DJ team led by (Captain) Mr. Da-Nos, (First Officer) Mahara McKay, (Maître de Cabine) Tania La Croix and (Deck-Hand) Gimma transformed the ships on Swiss waters into deceptively real-looking Caribbean cruisers. They offered a love boat ambience in the "Tiki" style of the late 70s, accompanied by current chill-out and electro music on two decks. The new party series is now being continued in various hangars in Switzerland. "ProSieben Love Air" once again aims to be as close as possible to the target group and bring the claim "We love to entertain you" to life. It was already launched on November 14 in Altenrhein SG.
On behalf of ProSieben, the agency Zürich Tokio developed an eye-catching visual concept in the "airline style" of the late 1960s and drew attention to the event with national advertisements, a website and a TV commercial. pan
