Last but not least: Subscribe to women's magazine and win a visit from a gigolo

Publishers will try just about anything to attract readers to their print publications. Gas coupons, wine, and cosmetics are among the usual incentives. Former TV matchmaker Linda de Mol has now taken the cake: Anyone who subscribes to her glossy magazine *Linda* for a year is promised a two-hour visit from a gigolo.

Linda is not just any old, unappreciated, dirty magazine. The glamorous monthly magazine has the highest circulation of its kind in the Netherlands with 210,000 copies - and is available for the equivalent of 96 francs. Just under 100 francs for twelve issues of Linda and a two-hour visit from a man - this offer seems really tempting. But before you click through to the website and order a subscription, there is a catch: in order to enjoy the gigolo visit, readers not only have to buy a subscription, they also have to state in writing why they want to take advantage of the service. This is because the number of male visits raffled off is limited: Linda is giving away a total of 25 Gigolos. An additional difficulty: the letter has to be convincing, as female applicants have to stand up to many others. There are already 50 letters in the running that have been classified as serious, as an editor revealed to the Tagesanzeiger newspaper.

Swiss Post: Private competitors cooperate on letter delivery

According to Marco Hinni, CEO of AWZ, the network should reach around 63% of all Swiss households by the end of 2012 at the latest. The companies promise to deliver letters around 15 to 20 percent more cheaply than the state postal service.

Borer wins again against Blick

Ringier is once again paying compensation to former Swiss Ambassador Thomas Borer. This is because the *Blick* reported in March that there had been a police operation at the Borer-Fielding residence in Thalwil.

The parties agreed on the payment in an out-of-court settlement. Ringier Switzerland spokesman Stefan Hackh confirmed a corresponding report to the news agency SDA on Tuesday, which will appear in the German weekly newspaper Die Zeit on Wednesday. However, he did not provide any information about the amount of the payment or other details of the agreement.
Ringier had already fallen out with Borer once before: in 2002, Sonntagsblick reported on an alleged affair between the then Swiss ambassador in Berlin and a make-up artist. The Zurich-based media company apologized and paid compensation.

Numéro 10 is looking for staff via social networks

Die Werbeagentur Numéro 10 in Bern hat heute den Buzz-Film «The worst job in the world» ins Netz gestellt. Das Filmchen nimmt Bezug auf die TV-Serie «The best job in the world». Mit der Idee will Numéro 10 neue Mitarbeiter für ihre Agentur suchen.

And the success is already huge after just a few hours, as Cendrine Gafner in Bern is pleased to report. After the first six hours, for example, over 900 people had tweeted the URL in their communities.
