Last but not least: With Mini Werbig to Fiesenberg

Do you know the Mini Werbig magazine? No? Then it's high time you did.

First the facts: According to the publishers, Mini-Werbig is a "monthly advertising magazine that is distributed 100,000 copies in the center of Zurich". It offers customers quality at reasonable prices, they say. So far so good, more or less. But now let's take a closer look: On the front page, a young blonde lady greets us: "With this first issue of Mini-Werbig, we are taking a step towards the future together. We wish you every success and welcome you. Grüetzi", it says. If we then leaf through the magazine, we come across all sorts of funny things. For example, a pain-relieving cream called Orjin Krem is advertised - "the human body can produce a wide range of pains", it says. There are several ways to relieve all these pains, "including our excellent product Orjin Cream, which is made from natural ingredients." Incidentally, the cream contains no chemicals, alcohol or drugs, just to be clear. And anyone interested in the miracle product has to dial a cell phone number. After (the only) editorial article about vacations (worth a read), there is a two-page advertisement - Merve Dönerproduktion AG advertises a kebab "with the best quality, safe hygiene and good taste" - the meat pictured is not necessarily appetizing.
After further advertisements, for example for a furniture store, which according to the address is located directly next to Mini Werbig's domicile, or for "Akman Kredit - Wir erfüllen Ihre Träume" (Akman Credit - We fulfill your dreams), there is an advertisement for an ominous "project advertisement", behind which the same people are behind Mini Werbig (and also distribute it): "We are your reliable and flexible partner for flyer distribution.". The "distribution areas" are listed at the bottom: In addition to Zurich City, Fluntern, Albisrieden, Schwamendingen & Co, "Fiesenberg" is also included. The whole thing is kind of nasty - so nasty that it almost hurts. It remains to be seen how long Mini Werbig will survive. Of course, we wish the publishers all the best. And perhaps the publication will one day develop into a cult object - the potential is there.

The agency Advico Young & Rubicam has produced three radio spots for Leica that are aimed at photographers with high standards.

The new image radio spots from Advico Young & Rubicam are aimed at photographers with such a discerning attitude. In the spots, photographs are described with particular accuracy, from their composition down to the smallest details, only to then state quite naturally that such rich images are only possible with a Leica camera.
