Wunderman makes the new Phonak hearing aid disappear behind raspberries

Zum weltweiten Launch des neuen Hörgeräts Audéo ZIP von Phonak hat Wunderman die gesamte B2B- und B2C-Kampagne mit Anzeigen, POS und DM konzipiert und gestaltet.

To demonstrate how small the new Phonak hearing aid, which sits directly in the ear, actually is, it was hidden behind a raspberry. The campaign message "Can a hearing aid hide behind a raspberry?" is intended to convey in a playful way how the hearing aid disappears practically invisibly in the ear, as the agency writes in a press release.
The concept was continued in the further DM measures in a teaser approach: for example, only the striking raspberry was initially used on the title page of the mailing, printed on tissue paper. The new Audéo ZIP is only revealed when the tissue paper is turned over.
The campaign was designed for worldwide use and is being implemented directly by the participating countries with great success.
Responsible at Wunderman: Renato Di Rubbo (MD), Rahel Güttler (Senior Consultant), Roger Rüegger (CD) Michael Gallmann (AD), David Dudler (graphics), Nora Angstmann (graphics), Samuel Textor (text), Florian Tillmann (text). Musikexpress presents special fashion issue Me.Style

On September 16, 2010, Germany's magazine for music and pop culture, Musikexpress, is bringing its previous supplement Me.Style to newsstands as its own special issue for the first time. Under the motto "The Style of Berlin", the magazine devotes 90 pages to the topic of fashion from the perspective of the capital.

The entire issue consists exclusively of photos and thus offers one of the longest fashion spreads. The aim of the special issue is to capture the energy and international fashion spirit of Berlin. This spirit is "classy and rough, wicked and glamorous, surprising and style-conscious", says Rainer Schmidt, editor-in-chief of Musikexpress and Rolling Stone.
The photo series are provided by photographer Kate Bellm - American, Vogue, Esquire, Tatler - and her colleague Daniel Josefson - Zeit Magazin, Jetzt, Monopol, Herr von Eden. In their pictures, they show musicians, artists, celebrities, restaurateurs, models and "normal Berliners" who stand for the spirit of the city and live it - photographed in the most beautiful or most unusual places in the metropolis, from the most famous clubs to private favorite places.
Among others, the author Maxim Biller, the DJ and producer DJ Hell, the actress Karoline Herfuth, the professional skateboarder Michael Mackrodt, the musician Peaches and the governing mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit will be taking part.
Me.Style will be published twice a year and costs 5.90 euros.

Last but not least: "Poverty has many stories"

At the Young Director Award in Cannes, Isabel Prahl won first prize in the European Film School category. The social spot is rather conservative and not very surprising, yet it still gets under your skin.

In the short film, Max talks about his best day of the week. He transfigures his stressful everyday life into an excursion during which he visits his uncle, "who is king", among other things. The way the primary school pupil tells the story is just as magnificent as the craftsmanship of Isabel Prahl, who is studying at the Academy of Media Arts KHM in Cologne.

Jordi takes over the aviation magazine Cockpit

The Belp-based media company Jordi is taking over the aviation magazine Cockpit from Ziegler Druck- und Verlags- AG in Winterthur on December 1, 2010. On this date, the 112-year-old company will also move into its new operations and administration building in the industrial area of the airport community of Belp.

In the interests of continuity, the current editors Max Ungricht, editor-in-chief, and Elisabeth Schenk, design, have been retained for the long term.
Jordi employs 88 people and already has ten specials in its publishing portfolio. For reasons of space and capacity, the SME decided to build a new company and administration building. The family business is now run by the 4th and 5th generation.
Ziegler Druck- und Verlags- AG has gradually reduced its magazine publishing business as part of a strategic realignment. This process has now been completed with the sale of Cockpit. Ziegler is the publisher of the daily newspaper Der Landbote.
Cockpit celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009. Originally conceived as a youth magazine, it is now a specialist magazine for the Swiss aviation scene. Despite generally eroding readership figures, Cockpit has recently been able to grow.

Advertising market development better than expected

Sales in the Swiss media market appear to be developing better than expected in the current financial year. Tamedia CEO Martin Kall commented on declining sales and forecasts.

In the first few months of this year, sales did indeed fall, but less sharply than forecast. According to Handelszeitung, Kall told the financial portal Cash that he had expected a decline of around 10 percent. Although the trend was there, it was no longer quite as negative as last year.

SW: Regula Stämpfli is Communicator of the Month

The Swiss advertising agency SW has named political scientist Regula Stämpfli its "Communicator of the Month" for June.

The reason for this choice is simple and therefore clear, according to a press release: Dr. Regula Stämpfli is truly a woman of conviction. She does not want to make herself popular, but addresses things that seem unjust to her. Issues that are analyzed and commented on incorrectly or one-sidedly in the media, by politicians or self-appointed experts. Despite all opposition. She accepts that (media) campaigns will be launched against her because of her truthfulness. Why is that? "Because I can't help but stand up for justice", as she recently said at an event organized by the Zurich Advertising Club.
Truthfulness is probably the noblest motive for good and sustainable communication, it continues. Probably the most important reason for speaking out at all. And even if you don't always have to agree with this alert and intelligent woman on the matter, this fact should always be appreciated from a communication perspective, which is why she is Communicator of the Month for June.

Kretz AG is now called Zürichsee Werbe AG

The long-term planned generational and ownership change of the magazine business has now been completed, according to a press release. With the new name, the company is also recognizable at first glance as the 100% subsidiary of Zürichsee Medien.
Zürichsee Medien includes Zürichsee Werbe AG, Radio Zürisee and Zürichsee Druckereien.
