The movements are different, the clothing is different, and the music is different too. Whether this will attract potential VW buyers remains to be seen. In any case, the reference to the car is somewhat more subtle than in many other car campaigns, but one thing is certain: the commercial stands out. And it appeals. Or not. Decide for yourself.
According to Kress.de, DDB UK has hired the award-winning director Jonathan Glazer for the commercial. Gasper Godoy and Manuella Rossi are the dancers. They are said to be the best on the tango floor ...

BaZ: Juso and trade unions protest against Blocher
Around 70 people protested outside the editorial offices of the Basler Zeitung (BaZ) newspaper on Thursday afternoon against alleged influence exerted by Christoph Blocher. The short event organized by the Young Socialists and trade unions with banners and speeches was peaceful.

According to SDA, votes and banners denounced the colonization of BaZ by the SVP. In a leaflet, the Young Socialists of both Basel wrote of "foreign domination of the BaZ by rich bailiffs from Zurich and Ticino"; the SVP-affiliated comments of the new editor-in-chief Markus Somm damaged the paper's reputation. The protest action in cold and damp weather caused slight disruption to streetcar and road traffic on Aeschenplatz at times. Cars were therefore temporarily diverted locally. Law enforcement officers with and without uniforms made their presence felt.
Recycling in the sky
Nespresso is already unveiling its fifth commercial featuring George Clooney.

Many promise heavenly coffee enjoyment. But Nespresso has found a way to use this advertising message without using the word "heavenly". After being hit by a grand piano (sic!), George Clooney was allowed to return from heaven to earth in a tongue-in-cheek film a year ago if he gave Peter his purchase from the Nespresso boutique in return. Now the commercial has found its sequel. In the fifth epic of the saga, Clooney has bought coffee again. Still traumatized by the last film, he is relieved to be able to leave the Nespresso boutique in one piece. But his happiness doesn't last long. Peter lurks once again in the guise of a cab driver and Clooney has to hand over the Nespresso capsules he has just bought once more. There is a new reminder for this film by Hollywood director Grant Heslov ("Good Night, and Good Luck"). In this short trailer, John Malkovich as cab driver Petrus Clooney returns a bag of squeezed capsules. "We recycle!" is the punchline from heaven. The reference to Nespresso's environmentally friendly production thus becomes the most important part of the new campaign. The commercials were shot in Milan. In a making-of video, which can be seen on Nespresso's new YouTube channel, Malkovich jokes that he is regularly asked about these films for Nespresso by fans at airports. However, no one has ever recognized him for his art films. In fact, the club community spans the globe and is also actively involved in the competitions on the site. Here, for example, you can create your own edited version. One winner will be able to march down the red carpet in Cannes with the stars next spring. Nespresso is also launching a new CitiZ machine to coincide with the new commercial. This Special Swiss Edition has an ethnic look with a white cross on a red background and is intended to communicate the quality of Swissness. The machines are manufactured in Switzerland, and the coffee beans have also been processed and refined here for 25 years. During this time, Nespresso has become one of the most important Swiss brands. And our country has also become "the largest coffee exporter in the world." Andreas Panzeri

I am a truly happy person. Really! Because I can still be amazed. My computer and firewall don't always do what they're supposed to. But I regularly receive electronic mail. And not just any mail, but really important mail. Even the subject lines tell me that these e-mails are about my future: "Your life", "Your dream", "Your finances", "Your money" or, more distantly, "Official notification of winnings" or simply "Congratulations". I think it's nice that someone is thinking about my dreams and my money and then congratulates me warmly instead of just trying to sell me Viagra on the cheap. Post to pucker up I was also very pleased to receive the "Invitation to join the Circle of Friends of Egypt". It came from Ahmed459 from the Jungborn retirement home. Drinking tea with Berbers, taking a cheaper vacation than the locals and planting a tree to stop the spread of desertification. Sounds tempting, I thought. However, I couldn't quite get over the story about the retirement home. Frankly, I was offended. Ladies of my age don't like to be reminded that wrinkles appear more quickly than gradually. So where did the retirement home get my e-mail address? And why now?! I almost went to the free experience evening with Matrix Transformation to get myself back on track. "Consciousness creates reality" was the promise on the invitation. Maybe I should have gone to this party to get my truth straight and heal my quanta again?! But I didn't have time. Because that same evening I received an "official message" from Catalunya, from Noor Azilah bt. Abu Shahid "from the seat of the president". Well, even if this president was missing two dots and an exact jurisdiction designation, I had won "935,470.00 (NINE HUNDRED FIFTY AND THIRTY THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED AND SEVENTY EURO)". My "lucky numbers" had won the big race in the second category, so you can't help but chuckle with joy. I should have simply contacted my "claims agent" Bernardo Ginez Lascano Esq and had the money transferred. I don't know why I didn't do it in the end. Maybe because I had just won another Audi, as one of a hundred randomly selected winners. I win an Audi almost every day. But sometimes it's also a BMW. Guaranteed profit There was a time when spam was the subject of heated debate. Today, we shrug our shoulders and shove the 30 emails into the junk folder every morning and don't give it a second thought. But I ask myself: Who, in God's name, takes the time to write an email as Ahmed459 to save the desert? Who sends mass emails to get rid of Audi or BMW? And who on earth responds to this spam apart from me? There must be some kind of response, otherwise I wouldn't be constantly receiving new, more or less entertaining attempts to steal my time or more. Sure, top idea for investigative (and presumably investment-intensive) research: I'll just write a reply to Noor, Ahmed and Pfizer and ask who they are and what they do apart from sending emails. But that would probably be the knock-out for my digital work machine. But let's put it this way: anyone who tells me who Ahmed is and where he finds the time for his emails will win my Polo. Guaranteed! (If there is more than one winner, it will be shared).
