Cosmic Bern: Experts portrayed for Die Mobiliar

The Cosmic agency has launched a campaign for Die Mobiliar in the area of occupational retirement benefits.

As an expert in the insurance of biometric risks, Die Mobiliar offers solutions tailored to its clientele, the agency writes in a statement. Patrick Tharin, advertising manager at Die Mobiliar Versicherungen und Vorsorge, developed the motto "From experts for experts" for the new campaign. This idea was the inspiration for the implementations that Cosmic Bern conceived for the area of occupational pensions. In it, real specialists take center stage as testimonials, each one a master of a particular domain.

Cosmic Bern designed and realized two expert visuals for the insurance company, a third and a fourth are in progress. For the first two subjects, a Swiss researcher and inventor and an artist were portrayed. The implementations can now be seen on print and online measures as well as in documentary-style short films. 29th Annual General Meeting of the Swiss Copywriters' Association Script

On March 3, 2011, 24 of the 120 copywriters who are members of their professional association gathered for the 29th regular general meeting at the «Rosengarten» in Zurich-Kalkbreite.

The first three traditional agenda items after the welcome address - approval of the minutes of the 28th Annual General Meeting, the President's annual report and the annual financial statements including the audit report - were quickly ticked off, according to the announcement, with the members voting in favor without dissenting votes. Agenda item 5, the elections, was also a mere formality: the members confirmed the Board members Roger Hausmann, Stephanie Hugentobler, Paul Girard and Barbara Sollberger as well as President Roger Hausmann
unanimously for a further two years in office.

The auditors Anton Neuenschwander and Claudia Scherrer also stood for re-election and were confirmed for a further year. Hélène Apel, who had been particularly committed to the concerns of French-speaking Switzerland on the Board for many years, stepped down from her position at this General Meeting. Her position was not filled.

After the elections, the members set the 2012 annual fee (unchanged) at CHF 520. As no motions had been received prior to the Annual General Meeting, Christoph Fuchs and Roger Hausmann had plenty of time to inform the members about some important developments in 2010.

According to the press release from "Federal certificate for copywriters". Script worked with Schweizer Werbung SW, EB Zürich and Publicité Romande for three years on the examination regulations and the guidelines for the examination regulations, which the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology OPET definitively approved a few weeks ago. This means that nothing stands in the way of the first examinations in late fall of this year. At the moment, two schools are preparing candidates for the exams, next year there will be at least four schools. script supports members who are preparing for the exams at one of these schools financially and has set up a training fund for this purpose.

Last but not least: The healing effect of videogames

War video games do not enjoy the best reputation - they desensitize players to violence and are said to be addictive. A study has now overturned these prejudices.

Good news for the brutal games scene: scientists at Grant MacEwan University have found that regularly playing games about war and combat can reduce the level of suffering and aggression in dreams about war. Or to put it more simply: video games can help soldiers sleep better.

For the study, the soldiers were divided into two groups - "frequent players" and "infrequent players" - and asked about their dreams. The results were clear: the participants assigned to the first group stated that their nightmares about combat were less intense and that they often had the feeling that they could fight against the threats. In the second group, there was more often a feeling of helplessness against an aggressive and violent enemy.

Brutal video games could serve as a kind of threat simulator, according to an explanation by scientist Jayne Gackenbach. This conditions the mind to cope better with intense, dangerous situations in nightmares. According to New Scientist, she can even imagine that the soldiers' frequent video gaming is a kind of self-medication and is more than just a gaming addiction.

Makes sense. Somehow.

Swiss Marketing Day: Büro Troxler launches guerrilla campaign

This year's Swiss Marketing Day in Lucerne is themed «Marketing for Marketing—Valuable or Worthless?» The Troxler agency developed a guerrilla marketing campaign around this theme to draw attention to the agency's launch.

Vouchers were distributed in front of the KKL, placed on the toilets and bar tables and attached to the windshields of cars in the underground car park. The voucher deliberately played with the theme of the conference. The inscription "Voucher for creative advertising" was intended to create an impression of value. This was contrasted by the reduced design and simple nature. The question was to be asked: "Valuable or worthless?" and with the binder "find out on www.buerotroxler.ch" followed the call to get a picture of the agency for yourself and find out whether the voucher is of value to you personally and should be redeemed.
