Great Britain: Levi's postpones campaign launch

The jeans manufacturer Levi's has postponed the launch of its «Go Forth» campaign in the United Kingdom.

According to W&V Online, the reason for this is the images of the Berlin May Day demonstrations in the commercial. The company is afraid that the scenes could be linked to the current events on the island. The campaign was planned to start on August 9, but it is not yet clear when it will start. In any case, the scenes from May 1st will be cut out for use in the UK.

The tourism agency Visit Britain has also suspended its "You're invited" campaign on the BBC's international news portal due to the riots on England's streets, according to the UK's Marketing Magazine reported. In Germany, however, Visit Britain's multi-million advertising campaign is not to be stopped - not even temporarily, as a spokeswoman for the tourism agency emphasized to W&V Online.

KSB implements headline campaign for Basler Zeitung newspaper

The KSB agency has developed new ad concepts for the Basler Zeitung designed to engage readers in the opinion-forming process through the daily newspaper, which is based in northwestern Switzerland.

In terms of journalism, the Basler Zeitung is an active advocate of pluralism of opinion, the agency writes in a statement. In terms of content, this means that there is room for a wide variety of viewpoints in the Baz and that readers should form their own opinions from the entire spectrum of opinions. After all, this is precisely what the newspaper's slogan expresses: "Read first, then talk.

To convey this message in advertising, KSB Krieg Schlupp Bürge has developed a new campaign. Simple, direct and intelligent, it is intended to link the sometimes strenuous opinion-forming process with the Basler Zeitung. After all, critical consideration without fear of contact does every opinion good, according to the agency. Even if this only strengthens it.

The various motifs can be seen on advertisements and posters throughout northwestern Switzerland from the beginning of August.

Responsible at Basler Zeitung: Paul Herzog (Head of Publishing), Nicole Scheidegger (Head of Communications), Silvia Abdulkarim (Head of Marketing Communications). Responsible at KSB war Schlupp Bürge: Uwe Schlupp, Flo Wacker (CD), Samuel Knaus (text/concept), Jowita Jaskiewicz (AD), Christoph Bürge (consulting management), Andrea Walker (consulting).

Last but not least: The trick with the shirt

The Berlin-based Nazi dropout initiative Exit-Deutschland had T-shirts distributed at a right-wing rock festival - with supposedly typical scene imprints.

"Hardcore rebels - national and free" was written on the shirts. A T-shirt to suit the tastes of the festival visitors. Accordingly, the gift was happily accepted. But the joy didn't last long - after the first wash, the garment showed its true colors: "What your T-shirt can do, so can you - We'll help you break free from right-wing extremism" - with Exit's contact details underneath.

Now that's a successful guerrilla action against right-wing extremism - carried out involuntarily and unknowingly by those they want to weaken. So successful that one or two neo-Nazis even felt compelled to praise the action: According to Sueddeutsche.de, a user called "Kahlkopf", for example, wrote in an online forum "Why didn't we think of something like this?" On the one hand, the action was nasty, but on the other hand, you had to laugh about it.

Incidentally, the idea came from an advertiser from Hamburg who - understandably - wishes to remain anonymous.

Contexta: everything comes together at Swisscom

Swisscom is the first company in Switzerland to introduce a new quad-play bundle: Swisscom TV, Internet, landline, and now mobile service as well. Contexta has launched a campaign for this offer, called Vivo Tutto.

The campaign seamlessly joins a series that began a year ago with Vivo Casa. The basic idea always remains the same: "We take a look at the relevant devices and realize, there's more here. The landline phone, the fast DSL line, the cell phone and the Swisscom TV box are populated with helpful and charming people who take care of me." The TV commercial for Vivo Tutto takes viewers on a journey through a living room - with surprising insights into the four components of Vivo Tutto: telephone, computer, cell phone and Swisscom TV Box. "Everything that connects us is now available in one package" is the statement, which is set off by a sweeping tracking shot.

The film - and the corresponding key visual - were produced in 3D and combined with real actors and backgrounds. The TV spot was produced in collaboration with the Stories agency and is designed to dramatize the carefree and variety that Vivo Tutto promises Swisscom customers.

The making of the film is available on Facebook to see.
