Publicis Dialog: Christmas staged for Pfister

For Christmas, Pfister and Publicis Dialog gave themselves a gift: *Viva*, the home decor magazine—the leading publication of its kind with a circulation of over 400,000 copies—underwent a subtle relaunch.

The briefing called for more topicality and greater proximity to international trends, as well as a more generous and emotional magazine presence overall. According to the agency in a press release, all of these measures were intended to further strengthen the magazine's credibility and relevance among readers. The result is a sixty-page journey into the world of living. The special focus is on the "Christmas wonderland". The design highlight is a 12-page spread in which various Christmas dreams are staged accordingly. The spectrum ranges from a fairytale castle to the Scottish highlands and a mysterious magic garden.

Contexta makes Calanda the biggest beer in Switzerland

Not only does Calanda have the highest mountain spring, but this beer from the Grisons mountains now also boasts the largest beer glass in Switzerland. And the brewery is happy to showcase this on its newly renovated malt tower, which features lettering by Contexta.

At 17 meters, the beer glass hangs in traditional mountaineering style at a lofty height and makes Chur and the surrounding area crave a freshly tapped Calanda at the sight. At the public inauguration, of course, the cherished contents of the glass were served to everyone for a toast. Contexta is responsible for the concept and implementation.

Syndicom: Fight for jobs at Swissprinters

Swissprinters employees in St. Gallen, who are fighting to keep their jobs, visited Ringier Chairman Michael Ringier in Zurich on Tuesday morning and presented him with an «open letter» outlining their demands.

Ringier is the main shareholder of Swissprinters with 58.8 percent and thus bears the main responsibility if 173 jobs in St. Gallen disappear. This writes the Syndicom trade union in a communiqué published on Tuesday. With four autocars, the employees of Swissprinters St. Gallen threatened with job loss and their relatives made a trip to the headquarters of Ringier in Zurich today, Tuesday, morning. 200 people - those affected, Swissprinters employees from the three other production sites, politicians and members of the supporting Syndicom union - protested loudly at Dufourstrasse against the threatened closure of the St. Gallen plant and the planned sale of the Schlieren site.

In his address, Paul Rechsteiner took a sharp line not only against Swissprinters' main shareholder Ringier, but also against NZZ (25.2 percent shareholding) and Tamedia (16 percent shareholding). The SGB president stressed that the three largest and extremely financially strong media groups were acting irresponsibly and antisocially with their decision to cut more than 250 jobs - and this solely because their profit margins were too low in view of the high price pressure in the industry.

Alain Carrupt, Co-President of Syndicom, emphasized the full solidarity of the union, which is also a party to the CLA for the graphic arts industry. Syndicom is supporting the Swissprinters employees in St. Gallen and Schlieren who are fighting for their jobs and their existence with all the means at its disposal. The three financially strong publishers and owners of Swissprinters have sufficient reserves to get through a lean period and implement future solutions without layoffs, Carrupt continued.

Towards the end of the demonstration in front of Ringier headquarters, which lasted about three quarters of an hour, an "open letter" was handed over to Michael Ringier, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Riniger, to great applause, with the following main demands: No closure of the St. Gallen production site, initiation of serious talks with the Swissprinters operating committee and the Syndicom union on how solutions can be implemented.

Klubschule Business: Education partnership with Google Switzerland

Klubschule Business is the first continuing education provider in Switzerland to receive the «Google Certified Seminar Partner» certification, thereby becoming an official training partner of Google Switzerland.

The certification confirms the high quality standard of the Club School Business training courses in the field of search engine marketing. This was reported by the Club School in a press release on Tuesday. The "Google AdWords Basic" and "Google AdWords Advanced" seminars will now be followed by further in-depth courses.

The internet has become the central sales channel in today's market environment. Companies that want to successfully position and advertise their products and services on the Internet need to know the rules of the Internet game. The complexity of online marketing is constantly increasing and companies often lack the necessary know-how to develop and implement online advertising strategies professionally, according to the Club School. The same applies to search engine marketing: "If you don't know the key success factors for making your products and services easy to find online, you will lose out economically".

With the Google AdWords seminars, the Club School Business offers a comprehensive training program. Owners of SMEs and agencies, marketing managers and other interested persons acquire the necessary specialist knowledge about how search engines work. This includes managing your own Google AdWords account and implementing professional Google AdWords campaigns. In the in-depth seminars, participants acquire a broad knowledge of Google Analytics, optimize existing advertising campaigns in a targeted manner and can now also have the knowledge they have acquired individually certified.

Advico Young & Rubicam discovers new diseases among competitors for ÖKK

The agency Advico Young & Rubicam has continued the current ÖKK campaign with new visuals. The campaign aims to show that not every health insurance provider is as friendly and straightforward as ÖKK.

Advico Young & Rubicam once again demonstrates this motto with annoying diseases that are rampant among its competitors. For example, the widespread "officialitis", which can be recognized by sluggish and highly bureaucratic insurance processing. Or the annoying "small printitis", an acute eye irritation that occurs during the strenuous reading of confusing insurance documents. As always, the most effective remedy is to switch to ÖKK.

The posters can now be seen throughout German-speaking and Italian-speaking Switzerland.
