Wildlife photographer and hunting journalist Markus P. Stähli from Grabs (SG) will become the new editor-in-chief of the magazine *Jagd & Natur*. He will join the team on October 1 and, following a training period, will assume responsibility starting with the January 2013 issue.

Karl Lüönd, who co-founded Jagd & Natur and managed it for fifteen years, will then step down in order to devote more time to his book projects. Indirectly identified: Press Council approves complaint against AZ

An accountant accused of embezzlement in court complained to the Press Council: the Aargauerzeitung had indirectly identified him in its court reporting. The Press Council upholds the complaint.

The naming of the defendant's place of residence as well as the mention of his former honorary activity for a named sports association was not mandatory for the reporting. A regional reference could also have been established by mentioning the region of residence and the exact designation of the association was not decisive for the understanding of the offense. The "Aargauerzeitung" had therefore violated paragraph 7 of the "Declaration of the Duties and Rights of Journalists" (identification).

Last but not least: Face leasing

Once upon a time, there were two college students who needed to find a way to pay for their education. They thought about how they could make some money—and came up with an unusual idea.

The solution to their money worries is called Buy my Face - a face rental company. All the students needed was a good make-up case, nothing more. In the beginning, they offered relatives and acquaintances with business connections the chance to paint logos and advertising slogans on their faces for 1 pound a day. Word of the service soon spread and bigger fish started to bite. They made their breakthrough with the Paddy Power betting office of tax consultancy firm Ernst & Young. Now they were even sent on trips, to the opera or on a ski tour. They are also said to have received inquiries from Germany and the USA. Of course, the service soon no longer cost just 1 pound - in the meantime, the economist and the surgeon are said to have already earned over 30,000 pounds by renting out their faces.

The idea of selling your own body as advertising space is not entirely new (see for example here). But it still seems to work - so why not ...

Goldbach Group: Profit increased

The Goldbach Group posted a profit of 6 million Swiss francs in fiscal year 2011. That is 19 percent more than in the previous year. The company generated significantly more revenue from advertising on private radio and television stations.

The operating result (Ebit) was also almost 30 percent higher in 2011 than in the previous year, at 30 million Swiss francs. The previously announced net sales amounted to 446 million Swiss francs. In the previous year, Goldbach Group's sales of CHF 329.4 million were 35 percent lower.

87 percent of sales came from Swiss business, the advertising marketer wrote in a statement Tuesday. Sales from the television business increased by 70.7 percent. "The TV business thus impressively demonstrates its resistance to general economic trends," the advertising marketer writes. In addition, moving image advertising is increasingly being used on online platforms.

Sales increases in the single-digit range expected

The Goldbach Group generated additional sales in TV advertising in Switzerland not only with the advertising blocks on 3+ and the Swiss advertising windows of the German stations Sat.1 and Kabel eins, which it has been marketing since the beginning of 2011. Significant growth of around 20 percent was also achieved with the existing station portfolio.

For the current financial year, Goldbach expects sales to increase in the single-digit percentage range, provided the economic climate does not cool down further. (Goldbach Group/SDA)

RTL Group with profit boost

Good business in the Netherlands and at the production subsidiary Fremantle gave RTL Group a profit boost last year.

Net income rose 14 percent in 2011 to 696 million euros, Europe's largest television group announced Tuesday. The dividend, which mainly goes to major shareholder Bertelsmann, is to be raised by 0.10 euros to 5.10 euros per share, it said. Revenues increased by four percent to 5.77 billion euros.

"Due to the high volatility of the various TV advertising markets in Europe and the short-term booking cycles, no reliable statement can be made at present for 2012 as a whole," said Group CEO Gerhard Zeiler. However, RTL Group has repeatedly shown that it can operate successfully even in economically difficult environments, the head of the ProSiebenSat1 rival explained. (SDA/RTD)

Euro RSCG Zurich becomes Havas Worldwide Zurich

As of September 1, 2012, Euro RSCG Zurich will be called Havas Worldwide Zurich and the Western Switzerland branch accordingly Havas Worldwide Genève.

The change of name from Euro RSCG to Havas Worldwide had been discussed for several years, as the brand name of the Havas holding company, which is listed on the Paris stock exchange, is simpler and also better expresses the "think global, act local" philosophy of the network, which operates with 233 agencies in 75 countries, according to a statement. The right time has now come, not least to demonstrate the simple structure.

The Havas group will consist of Havas Worldwide, which includes the Euro-RSCG network, and Havas Media, which will include all global media agencies. In addition, they are also in the process of creating a new umbrella brand, Havas Digital, which will operate through both Media and Digital. This new brand is intended to emphasize that digital is at the heart of the agencies and the strategy.
