This year, the Swiss industry event for audiovisual, electronic media, Screen-up, offers creative young filmmakers the opportunity to demonstrate their skills to the Swiss television market.

The two organizers of the Swiss TV day Screen-up, Goldbach Media and Publisuisse, have announced a trailer competition this year in cooperation with Swissfilm Association. The competition is aimed at imaginative young talents and students who are to produce a screen-up trailer in the form of a visual jingle, a kind of logo loop in the form of a video interlude with moving images. Universities of Applied Sciences and corresponding schools or courses of study throughout Switzerland were invited to participate. The submitted trailers will be selected by a jury consisting of representatives of the organizer and the Swissfilm Association, as well as a creative member. The selected shortlist will be published under Screen-up.ch released for voting and also advertised in the trade magazine Persönlich.

The winning trailer will be shown at the screen-up on September 27, 2012 at Kaufleuten in Zurich and at Screen-up.ch broadcast. In addition, a check worth 3,000 Swiss francs will be presented to the winning team at the event itself.

Yourposition: Growth and new team structure

Yourposition has significantly expanded its team and client portfolio in recent months. A new team structure and the appointment of three division heads are intended to ensure continued growth in the future.

The search engine marketing agency is now condensing its expertise into three specialist areas: E-commerce/Web Analytics, Search Engine Optimization, AdWords. Andrea Malele, business communicator and project manager at Yourposition since summer 2010, leads the AdWords team. The SEO specialists are under the leadership of Mirko Mandić, PR specialist and media scientist. Ulrike Hannemann, who has been with the agency since 2008 and Head of E-Commerce since March 2012, additionally takes over the management of the Web Analytics division. Co-Managing Directors Beat Muttenzer and Lukas Stuber will focus more on strategic corporate management in the future.

The agency has also won various new clients. For example, the Zurich-based agency won pitches for the AdWords budgets of Switzerland Tourism and the fashion mail order company Redcats Switzerland (e.g. La Redoute, Ellos). Among the new clients for projects in the areas of search engine optimization, web analytics or conversion optimization are, for example, the further education institution Klubschule Migros, or Home.ch, the real estate platform of Publigroupe and Swisscom Directories.
This was accompanied by an expansion of the team: Yourposition has filled seven additional positions in recent months. The AdWords department was strengthened with the ethnologist Zsuzsanna Balázs, the tourism expert Fabienne Thomann, the business economist Luzia Hütten and Christof Born, the former manager of the Businesspark Zug.

In the areas of search engine optimization, e-commerce and web analytics, Damian Kirtz (Business Process Management Modeler & Developer), cultural scientist Ye Yan Chan and graduate Web Project Manager Simon Griesser have joined the Yourposition team. Three to four additional full-time positions are currently being filled, which will double the Yourposition team within a year, according to a statement from the agency.

Audience Council: Children's program Zambo liked

The children's program "Zambo" has received high marks from the SRG German-speaking Switzerland Audience Council. Only the series failed to win over the Audience Council.

Otherwise, the audience finds the program well done, versatile and attractively presented. This writes the council in a statement on Monday. The audience council praises the narrowing of the target group. Thus Zambo becomes more seizable and more purposeful. The balancing act, which the age range still makes necessary, succeeds "not at all badly". The three media complement each other well.

The audience council, on the other hand, is not convinced by the series. The in-house production "Best Friends" is described as "exaggerated, predictable and clichéd. The bought-in series "Dance Academy" comes off better. But the council particularly likes the reintroduction of "Guetnachtgschichtli" for the little ones.

Zambo has been around since 2010. It is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 10 and 14 - it used to target 6- to 13-year-olds. The broadcasts on SF1 and DRS1 are supplemented by a Zambo website.

"Buongiorno Svizzera"
The radio special project "Buongiorno Svizzera" is judged by the audience council to have been a success. For two weeks, DRS3 reported on Ticino and the Italian-speaking areas of Graubünden. The audience council would also like to see such insights into other parts of the country outside of special weeks, as it writes in the statement.

Contexta: Advertising to bite for Taste of Nature

Allink.creative develops corporate design for Perplex

Allink.Creative designed a new website for its client, Perplex Plus. Perplex Plus's previous website no longer reflected the brand values the company wanted to convey to the outside world.

In future, Perplex Plus will also be adding its own collection of acrylic glass objects to its range, which will be produced in limited series. Allink.creative has therefore developed a clear brand structure that provides orientation. The name Perplex Plus stands for custom-made products - Perplex Collection, as the name suggests, for the newly launched collection.

From branding and the website to the very special acrylic glass business cards, the agency designed and realized all communication media for the new brand image.

Responsible at Allink.Creative: David Zangger (CD), Monika Jagodzinski (graphics), Jacqueline Felder (DTP), Sabina Zelnik (project management). Responsible at Perplex Plus: Julian Weger (Managing Director)
