New co-owners of Wirz Advertising

Now Wirz is becoming a bit more «owner-managed» on the advertising front as well: The three members of Wirz Werbung’s executive board are also taking on roles as shareholders in their company.

The new co-owners are Thomas Städeli, Petra Dreyfus and Philipp Skrabal. Since the founding of the holding company 37 years ago, the Wirz partner model has provided for the management members of the individual group companies to also hold shares in Wirz Partner Holding, according to a Wirz press release on Wednesday. What - as recently announced - In the last twelve months, six other senior employees have done the same again. Since the MBO in 2005, when the Wirz Group management acquired a majority stake in the holding company from the current Honorary Chairman Jost Wirz, the CEOs of the individual Group companies have also been able to acquire a 10 percent stake in their respective companies. In addition, the Wirz Group is now also offering a further 10 percent to individual long-standing members of the management, who can thus identify even more strongly with their company as co-owners.

Thomas Städeli, CEO of Wirz Werbung since July 2010, is taking over his shares from Geri Aebi, his predecessor in this role and current CEO of the Wirz Group. Petra Dreyfus, Managing Director, and Philipp Skrabal, Executive Creative Director, will acquire the additional shares in equal shares. The remaining 80 percent will remain in the hands of Wirz Partner Holding.

Cannes Lions: Silver and Bronze Lions for Swiss agencies

Euro RSCG Zurich makes sustainable values tangible

Euro RSCG Zurich has developed a campaign for SAM (Sustainable Asset Management). The focus is on SAM's methodology.

The campaign was developed on the basis of the new positioning "Sustainability - The Essence of Value. (English: "Sustainability - The Essence of Value"). Illustrated diagrams are used to show SAM's complex business model. These diagrams show how sustainability data creates opportunities for investors. The headlines thereby underline the achievement of the sustainable investment boutique: the conversion of sustainability criteria into corporate and financial values. After all, true value can only be identified through thorough analysis, the agency said in a statement Wednesday.

The campaign starts with 6 subjects in the print editions and websites of the NZZ and the Financial Times Europe as well as on animated posters at Zurich airport. In addition, a campaign microsite gives the target group an insight into the effective sustainability data from SAM's annual company assessment and a webcast shows how this data is integrated into the financial products. http://www.sam-group.com/substanz

Christinger demonstrates the HP FB7600

The HP FB7600 digital printing system was unveiled to a wide audience for the first time during a press and customer presentation at Christinger Partner. The collaboration between HP and Christinger Partner was aimed at comprehensively testing the system—which includes white as an additional color—in an industrial production environment and ensuring its suitability for mass production.

With the successful completion of the test phase, the HP FB7600 with the additional color white will take a permanent place in HP's LFP range. The event days organized by HP and Christinger Partner showed the public the wide range of possible applications.

The flatbed printer can print on rigid boards, such as cardboard or Forex, and flexible materials, such as self-adhesive films, in equal measure, the company said in a press release on Wednesday. After digital direct printing, the cutter systems produce the final products, such as displays, secondary packaging or promotional stickers, which can be contour-cut if required. Thanks to the additional color white, products such as shop window stickers can now be printed that are legible on both sides thanks to a printed barrier layer.

Social Media Cockpit for Swiss Travel System

In the future, when Swiss Travel System employees post on Twitter or Facebook, their posts will no longer include the name of another company whose social media tool they are currently using, but rather the name of their own website.

This solution was made possible by a new offering from Sereive, which has customized the "seReive" social media cockpit it developed to match the corporate design of Swiss Travel System - a so-called "white label version". The software has been expanded to include an offer for companies and organizations that use social media marketing to strengthen their brand or increase brand awareness, Sereive wrote in a press release on Wednesday. The "seReive" cockpit was developed to manage a large number of social media platforms through a single website.

seReive" is a social media cockpit for publishing and monitoring, where you only have to log in once to be connected to all social networks. The cockpit publishes information on any number of pinboards simultaneously or individually and sequentially. The latter makes it easy to formulate posts to suit the target group or individually for each network, according to the press release. It also saves a lot of time, as the monitoring of reactions is also delegated to the software. Notifications are sent promptly by email for likes, comments and retweets.

Monitoring also works on sites where you don't have admin rights, for example competitor sites. As it is a browser application, "seReive" runs in exactly the same way on every computer, tablet and smartphone, regardless of the operating system. For this reason, and because it includes a number of functions that enable much more flexible social media marketing, "seReive" is described as the "Swiss army knife for social media marketing", the agency continues.

"seReive" was developed on behalf of the agency Business Campaigning Switzerland for its own use and has been in daily use there since 2009. The application currently works with any number of user accounts from the following networks: Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Myspace, WordPress, and Wer-kennt-wen.

The Zoo App http://itunes.apple.com/de/app/zoo-zurich/id527856894?mt=8not only helps find the fastest, most comfortable or stroller-friendly way from the gorillas to the elephants. It also has a calendar of events that actively alerts visitors to feedings and other attractions. And it does so well in advance so that visitors can make it to the enclosure before the big feeding begins. The physical needs of visitors are also catered for with timely and local information on the zoo's culinary offerings. In addition, there is of course an extensive encyclopedia, in which everything worth knowing about the animals can be read.

A number of predefined tours also provide valuable guidance: there is a children's tour, a young animal tour, the ZKB adventure tour and a rain tour. For visitors with a limited time budget, two highlight tours are also offered, lasting one and two hours respectively.
