In 2012, the female gender again clearly dominated the federal higher professional examination for communications managers, according to a press release. There were 14 women, compared to six men. In addition, Liliane Rotzetter, Head of Communications and Production Cities at Railtour Suisse, also achieved the best result of the year with a grade point average of 4.9. Of course, the male graduates did just as well, according to the statement. Of a total of 20 participants, 18, or 90 percent, achieved the diploma. At the end of January 2013, the diploma will be presented to them at the graduation ceremony, together with an English-language Diploma Supplement, which will enable comparison with corresponding European degrees.
PC or paper, that was the choice
For the second time, the prospective communications managers had the choice of taking the written part of the exam - incidentally, one of the few federal qualifications to do so - on a PC or in handwritten form, as was previously the norm. Since working on a PC does not only offer advantages in an exam, however, a slight majority of eleven participants still opted for the traditional method.
