Art.i.schock demonstrates the benefits of speech therapy for DLV at Corona

Speech therapy has proven to be an important component in recovery from severe Covid 19 disease. This is pointed out by the professional association DLV in the context of the European Day of Speech Therapy on Saturday. The campaign was conceived and implemented by the Zurich agency Art.i.schock.

Speech therapy is more than pronunciation therapy for school children. It covers a wide range of services for all ages. Its benefits are also evident in the Corona pandemic, writes the German-speaking Swiss Speech Therapists Association DLV.

In addition to the more familiar, corona-typical long-term symptoms, another problem occurs after intubation: The breathing tube can lead to swallowing and voice disorders. One of the first measures after removal of the tube is therefore an appropriate assessment by clinically active speech therapists. Patients are often not yet allowed to eat or drink, and damaged vocal cords often impair the voice. The symptoms can occur over a longer period of time and thus make the return to everyday life even more difficult. Logopedic therapy shows great success and contributes to a shortening of the hospital stay and thus to a reduction of costs. This is not new, but has gained importance with Covid-19 and the increased number of ventilated persons.

The German-speaking Swiss Speech Therapists Association DLV therefore puts the European Day of Speech Therapy on Saturday under the motto "Speech Therapy for Covid Patients". For the information campaign on social media channels and the Website the DLV was advised and supported by Art.i.schock. The agency has been supporting the DLV in communications since last year.

Communication service Slack with strong growth

The trend toward working from home during the COVID-19 crisis led to strong business growth for the office communication service Slack last year.

Turnover increased by 43% year-on-year to 902.6 million dollars, as the company announced on Thursday after the close of the US stock exchange. In the fourth quarter of 2020, turnover grew by 38% to 250.6 million dollars.

Slack benefited from the high demand for office software during the coronavirus pandemic. CEO Stewart Butterfield spoke of an unprecedented acceleration of digital change.

However, it has not yet made any money. For the year as a whole, Slack made a loss of 300.4 million dollars. In the fourth quarter, the loss of 82.0 million dollars was slightly lower than a year ago. (SDA)

Intrinsic motivation is effective in marketing

Marketing campaigns should appeal to consumers’ intrinsic motivation rather than focusing on rewards. Advertising should therefore primarily tell the stories of people who use a product or service out of an inner drive, rather than because they expect a specific benefit from it. This is shown by a study from the University of Sydney. According to the researchers, this insight is particularly helpful for campaigns promoting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Advertising campaigns must appeal to consumers' own drive and be able to explain the reason for the purchase. (Symbol image)

Intrinsic motivation is very important in marketing. Here, advertisers appeal to consumers' emotions and rely on their inner drive. This is especially crucial when advertising tells a story. Customers thus find out what personally motivates them to make a purchase. They thus have an active role and a stronger affinity for the products. In contrast, reward effects, i.e. extrinsic motivation, often seem very contrived and inauthentic," explains marketing expert Felix Murbach in an interview with the news portal Pressetext.

Over five different studies, the researchers analyzed which motivations have the greatest impact in a campaign. In one study, for example, they showed 163 participants a story sentence by sentence in which the personal motivation of the main character was clear. Across the five analyses, it was shown that people are more attentive to such campaigns and identify more with the offer than with mere promises of a reward.

Potential for Corona vaccination

Campaigns that address intrinsic motivation are particularly effective in certain marketing areas, such as appeals for donations. This method is also promising for advertising the Corona vaccination. According to study leader Tom van Laer, it should feature people who get vaccinated on their own initiative, for example, to protect their family. "If the audience understands the intrinsic motivation of the characters, it transfers better to the audience," van Laer says. (pte)

Rod launches campaign for the relaunch of Annabelle

Following a series of ownership changes, the women’s magazine Annabelle is embarking on a new chapter. The magazine has undergone a comprehensive relaunch. The current launch campaign by Rod Kommunikation is designed to communicate the new Annabelle’s identity to the market.

With the relaunch, the magazine is repositioning itself and wants to reconnect lifestyle and fashion with socio-political issues. In short, Annabelle has long been more than just "belle," it should become more political again and show attitude.

The magazine is also to be presented to existing readers in a fresh look. The aim is also to increase awareness, image, relevance and readership. The new Annabelle will be published for the first time on Friday, and the relaunch will be accompanied by a campaign developed by Rod Kommunikation. At the center of this new campaign are users who show what the new Annabelle stands for and what women can be. From more than 300 submissions, 20 images were selected for the campaign: From Annaboss to Annabefreit to Annanofucksgiven.

With the women's survey "Annajetzt" by Sotomo and Annabelle, the magazine provided a comprehensive picture of the mood of women in 2021, which was widely discussed in the media, one week before International Women's Day. (Werbewoche.ch reported). The results have Annabelle once again strengthened its resolve to be a women's magazine for all women in all their diversity.

Eastern Switzerland appears in a new look

The regional online newspaper Die Ostschweiz will appear with immediate effect in a completely renewed design that is intended to meet the needs of the readership. Ammarkt is responsible for concept and implementation, while GoEast continues to be responsible for technical implementation.

Eastern Switzerland as the regional medium for the cantons of St.Gallen, Thurgau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden and Innerrhoden has appeared graphically largely unchanged in the online edition since its launch in April 2018, apart from a few adjustments. Now Ammarkt has launched a comprehensive restructuring realized.

The new appearance focuses more on the image and gives the individual articles more air and space. The adapted font is intended to make the site easier to read. The layout now also takes greater account of the fact that Eastern Switzerland is more a magazine than a news medium and focuses on background information, in-depth analysis and commentary. The aim of the redesign was to be unagitated, clear and easy to understand.

Focus remains the same

As before, the focus is on illuminating politics, business, society and culture. The latest news from the region is now reflected in a live feed, which provides a quick overview of events in the form of a running chronicle. In addition, the renewed newspaper relies on changing themed journals with collections of articles, for example on enjoyment, lifestyle or mobility.

Geographically more extensive

At the same time, Eastern Switzerland is also opening up geographically in certain areas. Eastern Switzerland remains the anchor. In addition, however, in the sense of broadening horizons, more voices, ideas and inspirations from authors from other parts of the country are to be included in the future. In this way, the medium also takes into account the fact that its readership always includes people from other regions of Switzerland.

In January 2021, the online newspaper said it had reached the highest level in its history, with around 400,000 unique readers. The print magazine, launched in February 2020 and published six times a year, is also seeing rapid subscriber growth.

TBS for Ernst Schweizer: Only a real Swiss can do that

Schweizer invented the modular mailbox 50 years ago - and was ahead of its time again with the digital parcel box five years ago. Today, more than one million copies of the original shape Switzerland and its architecture. TBS has developed the self-confident appearance for it.

Every child knows it. And yet only very few are aware that the modular letterbox comes from the Schweizer company - and there are now several imitators. With its new campaign, TBS is aiming to interpret the product in a contemporary way and, in doing so, to bring the Schweizer brand back into focus. The undisputed hero is the product itself, which with the milk box and the smart parcel box is more current and relevant than ever in today's "parcel flood".

The Swiss Original

The design of the product is timeless, the modular construction sustainable and durable - and with the digital parcel box, the innovative solution to e-commerce has succeeded. Only mailboxes from Schweizer would be able to claim this combination. And so the bracket "The Original." asserts the role as market leader and innovator.

Self-confident headlines take up the qualities and play with the attributes of the original. Visually, the campaign is based on the minimalist product design - product and background go tone-in-tone while reflecting the newly defined color spectrum of the Schweizer brand.

Harbinger of the new brand identity

The campaign is holistically conceived and is consistently played across all channels. Web banners, print ads and architectural mailings encourage visitors to visit the newly designed website. Original.ernstschweizer.ch to test. In addition, the sales department is equipped with the adequate sales documents for the original.

At the same time, the campaign carries the newly developed image of the Schweizer brand across all channels to the outside world for the first time.

The ADC jury 2021 at the Zoom meeting.

The 52 participant teams in the 14th edition of the young talent competition had to master an exciting task from this year's main sponsor "McDonald's Switzerland": To make the new "Mobile Order & Pay" function known to the relevant target group and motivate them to make their first experiences with the new ordering and payment function.

This year's jury, headed by Jury Chairman Philipp Skrabal (ADC Vice President), included Stijn Heytens and David Smadja from McDonald's, as well as Ralph Trossmann (Dialog Marketing Solutions at Swiss Post), Peer Kleinfeldt (Key Account Manager at APG|SGA), Sandro Kolbe (Project Manager Media Partnerships & Events at Ringier, Blick Group), Derya Tuna (Executive Producer at Tuna Production and Board Member at Swissfilm Association) and Cristina Tonitto (Head Marketing Communication at Keystone-SDA-ATS) as well as ADC Managing Director Gioia Bozzato and members Barbara Hartmann, Rob Hartmann, Hanja Heuss, Andy Lusti, Michelle Nicol, Sandy Pfuhl, Raul Serrat, Julia Staub, Manuel Wenzel, Marco Zimmerli and Martin Zimper.

Richnerstutz: Necessity is the mother of invention

In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, Richnerstutz made a virtue of necessity by developing CountMe, a customer electricity usage tracking tool, and rolling it out across Europe within just a few days. The company’s latest initiative is designed to show that innovation can also be a way to stay in touch with customers.

How can you attract attention cost-effectively and demonstrate your versatility in a sustainable way? In response to these questions, Richnerstutz has developed a special mailing that does away with the conventional babushka unpacking procedure - no box in a box.

The in-house creation department came up with many ideas, but the concept of a fan, as known from the Pantone color fan, was ultimately convincing. All competencies, important reference projects and other interesting information about the company are to be creatively communicated through the reinterpretation of the familiar tool.

Specially produced packaging made of corrugated cardboard glued layer by layer is designed to deliver the contents safely to the addressee. When the box is opened, the slogan "The right solution for every situation" invites the recipient to discover the contents. Inside, the recipient will find the "competence fan", which highlights Richnerstutz's extensive capabilities, and a personal "door opener" produced in-house as a give-away.

SRF radio news broadcasts from Zurich starting in December

Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) will broadcast its radio news from Zurich for the first time on December 1, rather than from Bern. Construction work on the new studios in Leutschenbach began this week.

Currently, three studios are being installed in the already existing news and sports center of the Leutschenbach, as SRF Director Nathalie Wappler announced at a media conference on Thursday. In the future, radio news and SRF 4 News will also be broadcast from here.

Around 70 employees will be moved from Bern to Zurich for this purpose. Construction work is naturally more difficult because of Corona, said Wappler. So that those present would mix as little as possible, work would also be done at night.

The Zurich site is to become the "center for topicality and digital development. The editorial offices for background and analysis, including "Echo der Zeit," will remain in Bern.

"Technical complexity underestimated"

In this already existing news and sports center, however, little has gone according to plan so far. Actually, broadcasting from these new studios for television should have started as early as November 2019, but the technology is still not running as desired.

"The technical complexity of this project was underestimated at the beginning," Wappler admitted. The first broadcasts from this studio will now be possible "in the middle of the year at the earliest".

Start of construction for the "Radio Hall

SRF's second major construction project, the "Radio Hall," has now also got underway. Since the beginning of February, construction has been underway in Leutschenbach to replace the Brunnenhof radio studio in Zurich.

The conversion of a hall for company vehicles into the "Radio Hall" is expected to take around a year, i.e. until February 2022, after which the editorial offices of Radio SRF 1, SRF 3, Virus and Musikwelle will gradually be relocated here until the end of August 2022.

The city of Zurich will subsequently rent the vacant Brunnenhof radio studio and set up a school building in it. (SDA)
