Maxomedia lets visionaries proclaim the trading future

With a new platform, Swissquote is ushering in the future of online trading. Its high usability and user experience deliver a new trading experience. The platform is being promoted by Maxomedia.

Swissquote's modernized e-trading platform enables state-of-the-art online share trading: it offers sophisticated features, easy handling and the perfect overview.

Maxomedia designed and implemented the campaign to publicize the new tool for Swissquote. The aim was to motivate existing customers to update to the new platform and to convey the Swissquote trading experience to new customers.

The advertising materials literally bring finances up to date. Instead of heroes of history, banknotes show the innovators and visionaries of today. The simplicity of switching to the new e-trading platform is visualized by the one-page special advertisement in Bilanz, from 3 June 2016: the removable red protective film is stuck over the cell phone camera and the world of finance appears in a new design.

Agency for neurocommunication launched

The Unit X agency celebrated its grand opening on June 1, 2016, in Dietikon with an extraordinary launch event. The new agency focuses on neurocommunication.

The agency for neurocommunication, Unit X, celebrated its premiere on the same day as the Gotthard Base Tunnel. With its launch event at Bureau D in Dietikon, the six-strong team showed over 50 guests where the journey is heading: towards neurocommunication. This will continue to gain in importance in the future, according to a press release issued by the newly founded agency on Thursday.

Bureau D is a coworking space for digital nomads and other forward thinkers. An ideal place to break away from normality and try out new ways of thinking and working, according to the press release. This is where Unit X implements what it has been working on for years: current findings from neurocommunication in connection with nudge, corporate branding, corporate language, visual communication and limbic texts.

On the opening day, the six team members - all experts in their fields - all gave a short presentation on these topics. If you would like to find out more about them, you can obtain information from the Unit X Advice and assistance: The services offered range from complete agency services to project-related advice and individual training in the form of courses or workshops.

Strebel Juon: Aesthetic appearance requirements for dermatology practice

Strebel Juon developed the logo and brand identity for a new dermatology practice on Zurich's Paradeplatz.

Mandana Péclard opened her own practice dedicated to skin and beauty this spring at Kappelergasse 16, just off Zurich's Paradeplatz. The specialist in general and internal medicine specializing in skin, skin diseases, dermatological laser therapies and aesthetic medicine subsequently commissioned Strebel Juon to design and develop the logo and corporate identity for the new practice.

1_PaP_Logo

The logo, developed from two "P "s, alludes to the initial letters of the practice and the owner's name. By rotating the P by 180 degrees, it can also be read as a "d" and thus stands for the term "dermatology".

2_PaP_Gutschein_2511

The designers' aim was also to counteract the usual tendency towards a "sterile, clinical" solution with a lot of white in the sense of differentiation and to use colors that allow or underline the association with the topic of "dermatology and beauty". The fact that the look and feel of the store is based on international fashion and cosmetics labels is entirely intentional. This claim is also reflected in the interior design of the practice premises. The result is an appearance that expresses the aesthetic aspect and consistently focuses on the central element of the logo. Strebel Juon realized the stationery, an offer leaflet, the opening invitations, a showcase poster and the Website. The website is dominated by a clear layout, which uses typography and light animations as the primary design elements, as well as short, informative texts, as images on the subject are often not very inviting.

Beckmann's focus in his new role at GroupM will be to establish and further expand the international GroupM structures in Switzerland. This includes the development of special departments in the digital area, but also the further development of the negotiating power with the media. According to Beckmann, the clients of the GroupM agencies should also benefit from both.

Jean-Claude Frick new as Digital & Telecom Expert at Comparis

Comparis is expanding its Digital & Telecom division and has brought Jean-Claude Frick on board. In recent years, he has made a name for himself in the Swiss digital scene as a radio host, freelance tech journalist, and through his own blog, iFrick.

Frick will take on the role of digital and telecoms expert at the Swiss internet comparison service with immediate effect. Together with Christoph Glaus, who has been on board as Digital & Telecom Media Spokesperson since January 2016, Jean-Claude Frick will redesign the media and content work for Comparis.ch on all topics relating to the digital economy.

"With Jean-Claude Frick, we are gaining a proven digital expert who has a well-founded opinion on gadgets of all kinds as well as global trends in the digital sector and the Comparis core topic of comparing telecom tariffs," says Comparis CEO Paul Kummer. "His extensive know-how and his journalistic way of thinking will support us enormously in the transformation of our existing telecom area into a content platform for digital topics."

Frick began his professional career at Radio Förderband in Bern. Here he oversaw the construction of Switzerland's first fully digital radio studio. In 2001, he co-founded a company specializing in the digitalization of radio stations. At the same time, he worked as a freelance tech journalist for Berner Zeitung, Sonntagszeitung and Watson.ch, among others, and collaborated internationally with industry magazines such as Techcrunch and T3N. Jean-Claude Frick attends all major industry events such as the IFA in Berlin, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and the CES in Las Vegas, where he discusses the digital future with decision-makers. Frick has been reporting as a tech expert for various Swiss radio stations since 2009 and has had his own show, "Der digitale Durchklick", on Radio Energy since February 2016.

Design: Fresh wind for Feller customer magazine

The Gestalten agency has redesigned and revamped the customer magazine for Feller, a manufacturer of electrical engineering products.

You don't have to be a visionary to sense the innovation potential that the digital revolution is opening up for electrical installers and architects. As a Swiss pioneer in the electrical installation and communications technology sector, Feller is at the forefront of numerous developments at the product, service and service level. This strength is also reflected in the company's positioning and the resulting new communications presence.

gestalten-AG_Feller-Aktuell_I

"Authoritative," "Simple," and "Personal" are three central values of the Feller brand. Among other things, they serve as guiding principles for the conceptual revision of the customer magazine and are implemented both in the layout and in the editorial design. Thus, the magazine is convincing not only in its revised layout, but also with editorial reporting that increasingly focuses on people and innovative product solutions. Also striking is the use of infographics, which convey even complex technical content in a reader-friendly and comprehensible way.

The fresh wind was breathed by the specialists of the Zurich agency Gestalten in close cooperation with the Feller team, based on the CI principles of the branding agency SNK.

Last but not least: Sausage Case Scenario

Great cinema: Droga5 collects advertising ideas from the employees of a sausage manufacturer and uses them to produce TV commercials.

"Made the Johnsonville Style" is the claim of the US meat products manufacturer Johnsonville. The family business still does everything itself in the good old-fashioned way. Even the advertising now bears the signature of the employees. They give free rein to their imagination and provide the ideas for the perfect commercial. Of course, there is an even better idea behind the whole thing and - unsurprisingly - Droga5 had it. Three commercials have already been realized - more will follow according to the trailer (see below). Outstanding! Car chase, talking forest animals, horror house... more please! (hae)

Kreienbühl and Vogler: No more relegations.

Kreienbühl and Vogler has developed a campaign for Flyer e-bikes and shows that once you get on an e-bike, you’ll never want to get off.

As a Swiss e-bike pioneer, Flyer has been manufacturing high-quality e-bikes in the heart of Switzerland since 1995. To promote the new Flyer e-bike models for 2016, the Kreienbühl and Vogler advertising agency has developed a comprehensive campaign.

The campaign’s concept is strikingly simple: Once you hop on a Flyer e-bike and feel its powerful motor, you won’t want to get off. As a result, the new Flyer models—along with their riders—find themselves in hilarious situations. For example, at the hair salon, in a restaurant, or while shopping.

Jim & Jim creates campaign for Swiss Epilepsy League

To raise awareness of epilepsy among young people in particular, Jim & Jim—an agency specializing in youth marketing—has launched the «What Do You Know About Epilepsy?» campaign in collaboration with the Swiss Epilepsy League.

Neil Young, Elton John and Swiss gymnast Lucas Fischer have something in common: the disease epilepsy. Epilepsy is a disease that is more widespread than many might think. In Switzerland alone, around 70,000 people live with epilepsy, including many children and young people. Nevertheless, the disease is still fraught with many prejudices and misconceptions to which sufferers are exposed. The Swiss Epilepsy League would like to dispel these, especially among the young target group, and has therefore launched the "What do you know about epilepsy?" campaign together with Jim & Jim, an agency specializing in youth marketing. The aim is to provide young people with the most important information about epilepsy - such as what to do and what not to do in the event of an epileptic seizure.

Prominent support from vice European champion

In order to reach the young target group, Jim & Jim primarily relied on moving images and the support of Lucas Fischer, artistic gymnast and 2013 European silver medalist on the parallel bars. Fischer, who can be seen in one of two campaign videos, is himself affected by epilepsy and therefore education is particularly close to his heart. A second video emerged from a competition and was created by Dardan Ajfazi on the topic of "Epilepsy on the Internet." User-generated content, like this video, is particularly effective because it is created by the target group for the target group.

With website and a competition against prejudices

The videos are to be shown together with a youth friendly website provide education for the young target group. To make it more interactive, young people can take part in a quiz and win one of four Apple iPhones by July 31, 2016. The campaign will be disseminated in particular via social media channels and posters.

Summer vacations in Switzerland are very popular in New Zealand

The travel search engine Kayak.ch has analyzed which holidaymakers are increasingly looking for flights to Switzerland for the summer vacations and which cities are the most popular for a hotel stay.

The analysis is based on flight and hotel searches on the worldwide Kayak websites, with the exception of Kayak.ch, for trips in the period from 01.05.2015 - 31.08.2015 and 01.05.2016 - 31.08.2016.

New Zealanders are by far at the top of the top 10 list of "Switzerland fans": compared to 2015, 44 percent more "Kiwis" searched for flights to Switzerland in 2016. Just like us Swiss, New Zealanders seem to appreciate nature and outdoor activities such as mountaineering, hiking or cycling for their vacations and escape the cold winter temperatures in the southern hemisphere for the warm summer in Switzerland. Irish and Hong Kong residents are also increasingly drawn to the Alpine country to try a Swiss beer instead of Guinness. For the inhabitants of the global metropolis of Hong Kong, with up to 50-lane highways and countless skyscrapers, the comparatively untouched Swiss Alpine landscape offers plenty of scope for discovery.

2 Ireland +26%
3 Hong Kong +20%
4 Singapore +17%
5 Turkey +8%

Not equally popular everywhere

While Switzerland is becoming increasingly popular as a vacation destination for some countries, the analysis also revealed that holidaymakers from other countries are looking for flights to Switzerland less frequently than in the previous year. Three European countries - Poland, Germany and Sweden - were significantly less interested in flights to Switzerland in 2016. For our neighbors in Germany, but also in Poland and Sweden, the continuing strength of the Swiss franc is more likely to be the reason for the decline in interest compared to the previous year than the supply in Switzerland.

Well-known cities lead the way

The analysis of hotel searches shows which regions are increasingly attracting Swiss tourists. As expected, Zurich, Geneva and Lucerne top the list.

However, the other destinations in the top 10 list of the most popular tourist destinations are also worth a visit: Interlaken in fourth place is located directly at the foot of the imposing Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau triumvirate, an absolute must-see for many travelers. However, actual ski regions such as Zermatt and Grindelwald are not only popular as ski destinations, but are also popular summer destinations. Events known far beyond the borders, such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, also attract holidaymakers: The small cultural town on Lake Geneva ranks 9th among the most popular cities.

When it comes to choosing a hotel, vacationers in Switzerland like to treat themselves particularly well and mainly look for luxurious hotels. Just four hotels in the top 10 cities list are 3-star hotels, while all the others have four or more stars. Tourists also appreciate the excellent public transportation options: with the exception of the Ibis Hotel in Lausanne, all other hotels on the list are located in the immediate vicinity of a train station.

"It is interesting to see how the distribution of travelers for Swiss vacations has changed over the years," says Julia Stadler-Damisch, Kayak Regional Director Switzerland and Germany . "Switzerland often struggles against its reputation abroad as a high-price country, so it's all the more pleasing that many tourists still plan their vacations here."
