JvM/Limmat: Mannequins with disabilities

Jung von Matt/Limmat displayed mannequins with disabilities in store windows along Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse for Pro Infirmis on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse shines in the pre-Christmas season with dapper displays. In the windows of the fashion stores Modissa, WE Fashion, PKZ, Schild and Bernies, however, special mannequins with physical disabilities will be in action on December 3. They are missing an arm, sit in a wheelchair or have a deformed spine. The campaign's motto is "Who's perfect? Come closer." and is intended to encourage people to think about the acceptance of people with disabilities. The figures were created true to scale as three-dimensional images of Miss Handicap 2010 Jasmin Rechsteiner, radio presenter Alex Oberholzer, track and field athlete Urs Kolly, blogger Nadja Schmid and actor Erwin Aljukic.

Film about the action by Alain Gsponer

A film by director Alain Gsponer shows the action from the massing of the participants to the exhibition of the dolls in the stores on Bahnhofstrasse. Gsponer already directed Pro Infirmis' successful bear commercial in 2011, which has since been viewed more than four million times. Dave Thomas Junior contributed the music for the new work. The piece "Lost at Sea" was rearranged again especially for the film by Pro Infirmis.

"Star of the day" - A person with disability in front of the view lens

Former Miss Handicap Jasmin Rechsteiner also poses as "Star of the Day" in Blick on December 3. Ringier, Pro Infirmis and Jung von Matt/Limmat use the vessel on December 3, 2013 as a platform to draw attention to the Day of People with Disabilities. Pro Infirmis' goal is an inclusive society in which people with disabilities participate fully in social life.

Schawinski: Role reversal for the anniversary

In the 100th show, Roger Schawinski is put through the wringer by an SRF colleague. The audience decides who wins the race.

In the anniversary show, the provocative Swiss talk show host changes sides for once and answers critical questions about his life and work. Who will interview Roger Schawinski in his 100th show? The television audience can decide via online voting on Srf.ch/schawinski from December 2 to 9 to choose between Mona Vetsch, Sandro Brotz or Stephan Klapproth.

Mona Vetsch presents the morning show on SRF 3 radio and hosts the discussion program "Club" on SRF 1 on Tuesday evenings: "Schawi only has one problem area: women. Be careful, dear Roger: the hair grows on your face, but on my teeth." Stefan Klapproth is a long-standing news anchor for the news magazine "10 vor 10": "I can get him if you really want - and find out where Bartli gets the most." Sandro Brotz is a presenter and journalist on the program "Rundschau": "Like Roger Schawinski, I'm not a cuddly presenter - bet he gets into a spin with me?"

Skrabal leaves Wirz - Dainese/Perez to follow

Wirz Werbung is starting the new year with two new Executive Creative Directors: Livio Dainese and Fernando Perez will be joining Wirz from Hinderling Volkart in mid-January 2014 to succeed Philipp Skrabal.

Livio Dainese and Fernando Perez, the award-winning former CD and management duo from Jung von Matt, are moving back to a large agency after what they describe as a "year rich in success and experience" at Hinderling Volkart. From mid-January 2014, they will join the management of Wirz Werbung as Executive Creative Directors and, according to the press release, will lead the 30-strong creative team, which has been working in an integrated online and offline manner for around two years.

Dainese/Perez are parting on good terms with the most creative digital agency in Switzerland according to "Best of Swiss Web", as they intend to continue working in partnership with Hinderling Volkart at Wirz in the future. This year, together they have acquired clients such as UBS, Sennheiser and Teleboy and realized concepts for Swiss, SRF and Zurich.

Copywriter Dainese and art director Perez met at Lowe in 2003 before moving to Jung von Matt together in 2005, where they soon became creative directors and later GL members as a well-rehearsed creative duo and were jointly responsible for numerous well-known clients and campaigns. These included two of the most popular in the country: The advertising with the ibexes Gian and Giachen for Graubünden Ferien and the Migros umbrella campaign "Ein M besser". The work of Dainese and Perez has won over 250 awards both nationally and internationally, including Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencils, Clios and One Show Awards as well as three gold and two silver Effies for efficient communication.

In return for their move, the previous ECD and co-owner Philipp Skrabal will leave Wirz Werbung after three and a half years due to differences of opinion regarding the management and strategic direction of the agency. During this time, he made a significant contribution to the integration of the digital theme and the leap forward in the creative ranking.

Serviceplan: Peter Felser becomes Chairman of the Board

The General Meeting of Serviceplan Suisse has elected Peter Felser as chairman of the board of directors. In addition, Felser will acquire a stake in the owner-managed agency.

With Felser, a proven expert and intimate connoisseur of the Swiss communications industry could be won. The former Advertiser of the Year is considered one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the industry and one of the most important brand strategists in Switzerland.

Together with Martin Spillmann, Peter Felser founded the advertising agency Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett and, as CEO, built it up into the second-largest and most creative agency in Switzerland. In 2011, he sold his shares and handed over operational management. Today, he oversees selected brand and strategy projects, lectures on brand management at several universities, and is active as an entrepreneur, board member, and foundation board member. Felser on his new role at Serviceplan: "I'm looking forward to passing on my experience in building and expanding a successful agency. The ambitions are high. I know and value Christian Baertschi and Sacha Moser very much. I've already had the pleasure of working successfully with both of them."

For Christian Baertschi, Managing Director of Serviceplan Suisse together with Sacha Moser, the new constellation is also ideal: "On the one hand, I was able to work closely with Peter Felser for over seven years, which naturally makes mutual understanding much easier. On the other hand, I couldn't ask for better reinforcement for our agency in the Swiss advertising scene."

Serviceplan Suisse, founded at the end of last year, currently employs around 30 people. The Haus der Kommunikation in Zurich is also home to the digital agency Plan.Net and Serviceplan Public Relations Suisse. Peter Felser, when asked about the group's prospects for success in Switzerland, says: "The combination of entrepreneurial local managing directors with a potent international network is unique. The Serviceplan Group is extremely entrepreneurial, all managing directors are substantially involved and bear corresponding responsibility. Clients appreciate this entrepreneurial understanding."

Florian Haller, Managing Director of the Serviceplan Group, says that the new appointment brings him a good deal closer to his goal of establishing a successful agency group in Switzerland: "In Peter Felser, we have gained a proven communications strategist and experienced entrepreneur for the further development of our agency group in Switzerland.

Valencia: digital supercard voucher campaign

Coop launches digital vouchers for the Supercard. Valencia explains the advantages to customers.

In the age of apps and smartphones, even the good old receipt has changed. "Digital couponing" or "digital vouchers" are now part of everyday shopping. The agency had already taken over the communication for the digital vouchers in the Hello Family Club. Newsletters and advertisements were used there to explain the product. A TV and in-store spot has now been created for Supercard's digital couponing. This is accompanied by advertisements in the Coop newspaper. In addition, a simple visual, also designed by Valencia, draws attention to the new digital vouchers.

"With this TV spot for Coop, we're taking a slightly different style direction," reveals Tommy Schilling, creative director at Valencia. "We transfer the simplicity of dealing with digital vouchers to the style of the spot." This resulted in a fun collage animation that highlights the benefits to customers with the new digital vouchers. The TV spot will air for the first time in week 49. Print communication already started in week 47 and the digital vouchers are now available on Supercard.ch or can be activated via the Supercard app.

Four..: Acquisition tool realized for EWZ

The Zurich-based agency Four. has developed a three-dimensional lead generation tool for EWZ Energiedienstleistungen.

EWZ Energy Services designs and develops solutions for supplying buildings with heating, cooling, conditioned air and other media. The focus is on the planning, financing, construction and operation of energy supply systems. One example of a successful project is the "Energieverbund Aargauerstrasse" in Zurich. EWZ Energiedienstleistungen commissioned the Zurich agency Four. to develop a corresponding measure in order to be able to present the energy network in detail during acquisition talks. The result: a three-dimensional, true-to-scale object picks up on the special design language of the energy center. When the object is opened, the project is presented in pictures and words. According to the press release, this is intended to appeal to both technical experts and generalists.

Responsible at EWZ: Martin Bucher (Head of Energy Services). Responsible at four. Advertising agency: Björn Brinkmann, Philipp Sträuli (CD), Christian Hansen (consulting), Claudio Hagmann (DTP).

Last but not least: McNever Goodbye

Burger King Norway had had enough of fake Facebook fans and put its followers to the test with free Big Macs.

The Norwegian Burger King page has more than 38,000 Facebook followers. In social media jargon, people talk about "fans" - in reality, the connection with the liked companies is usually just as great as with 90 percent of the so-called "friends": People don't care about each other at best. Or in the case of fan pages: People post on the pinboard how much better the competition is. Burger King, or rather the Dist Creative agency, mucked out the wrong fans instead of boasting about high Like numbers. The old Facebook page was closed. Anyone who wanted to become a fan of the newly opened one had to...decline a Big Mac coupon. On the other hand, anyone who opted for the competition's parade burger was banned for life from the Burger King fan page in return. As part of the "Whopper sellout", Burger King reduced the number of followers on its fan page by 30,000, gave away a thousand Big Macs and has since lived in harmony with almost 9,000 loyal fast food fans. Valencia Coop Christmas Campaign

Valencia won Coop's entire Christmas budget. The package included a key visual, TV spot, print advertising and all in-store advertising at the POS. In December, the campaign is set to bring wintry Christmas cheer everywhere.

"Everyone always celebrates Christmas a little differently. But there are a few classic moments that everyone associates with this holiday," says Creative Director Tommy Schilling. "Christmas simply includes family, homey Christmas decorations, snow and Christmas anticipation," says the father of two. "We tried to put that nice feeling into the communication." This year's Coop Christmas theme features a red felt star as a key visual and emotional imagery.

The central medium of the campaign is television. In the commercials, Christmas stories are told as they might be with the Schweizer family, and at the same time Coop's daily festive offers are presented. This is accompanied by radio and print, thus announcing the new daily festive offers across the board. Valencia also implemented the entire POS material as well as the shopping bag in the new Christmas look.

The campaign starts in week 48 with a teaser spot on SRF after the Tagesschau or before Meteo.

Last but not least: buckle up

«Drivers who don't wear seat belts are usually young, immature, and inexperienced,» Leo Burnett Norway reasoned. "The movie 'Fast & Furious' is the perfect way to reach this target audience.".

The agency chose a special approach for its seatbelt campaign so as not to "confront young people in educational adult language" for once. It equipped all the seats in a movie theater with seat belts. During the opening credits of the movie "Fast & Furious", a red warning signal flashes and the audience is asked to fasten their seat belts. The movie will not start before then. The message, for once not in pedagogical adult language: you will only get what you want if you do what you are told.

It is not known whether the penetrating warning signal came on every time someone unbuckled their seatbelt. (sis)
