Numéro 10: Campaign for Comptoir Suisse

Numéro 10 launched a campaign for the Comptoir Suisse trade show in French-speaking Switzerland, organizing a "presidential election" among farm animals.

Gaston the pig, Monique the goat, Simone the chicken, Maurice the dog, and four other candidates competed against each other. Who became president of Comptoir Suisse in 2014? The presidential election campaign, divided into two phases (election and inauguration), consisted of wild posters, flyers, lobbying efforts with the media, an election page on Facebook, as well as a political platform and voting via the website.

Housewife threatened Blick employee

A woman from eastern Switzerland made serious threats against *Blick* journalists and Ringier executives. The reason: She was jealous of the naked women shown in the publication.

As the Sonntagszeitung writes in its current issue, the 51-year-old threatened journalists, the editor-in-chief and Ringier's publishing cadre with "blood-dripping violent fantasies" by mail over a period of two years. She demanded that "no more women with naked breasts" be published in Blick - otherwise, for example, the editor-in-chief at the time would "find himself with his throat cut in some landfill site.

The woman's absurd anger was also directly directed at the women in the "Star of the Day" column - readers who allow themselves to be photographed in erotic poses. The 2012 "Girl of the Year," a then 19-year-old woman, was threatened with death if she showed herself naked in the newspaper again. Advertisers of the newspaper also felt the hatred of the woman. She threatened a sex store with "terrible bloodshed among the staff" if "such advertising" continued to appear in Blick. To another sex store she announced "a bomb attack on your store".

After extensive investigations, the police were finally able to track down the sender. The "resolution" sounds like something out of a bad movie: The Swiss woman was jealous because her husband was interested in the naked women in the newspaper. She confessed and regrets the threats. On October 27, she was sentenced to a conditional fine. (hae/sz)

"Tschutti Heftli" Is Being Discontinued

After eight years, the magazine Tschutti Heftli is being discontinued. However, the collectible stickers for the soccer tournaments will continue to be produced.

This is what the independent Central Swiss online magazine reports Central+. The Lucerne soccer magazine has been in publication since 2006 and, after 22 issues, will now be discontinued at the end of the year. The small club «Tschutti Heftli» "Due to time constraints, we are no longer able to produce the editorial issue regularly and to a high standard," said editorial board member Silvan Glanzmann. Several attempts to expand the five-member volunteer editorial team have failed.

However, the artistic collectible cards for soccer tournaments will continue to be produced. For the 2014 World Cup, 39 artists designed the soccer players, once again creating an alternative to Panini stickers. And it was a success: This year’s collectible album has sold better than ever before. (hae)

Ruf Lanz stages flexible working hours for VBZ

With a new ad campaign, Ruf Lanz demonstrates that the VBZ literally makes flexible work schedules possible.

More and more business people are using the time on the streetcar and bus to check their business emails, answer text messages or study documents while on the move. Because on public transport - unlike in the car - you have your hands and your head free. Ruf Lanz dramatizes this flexible working time in the truest sense of the word in the latest motif of the award-winning VBZ campaign. With the image of a workplace composed entirely of typical Zurich streetcar seats. The motif is currently being used in advertisements, posters and on the backs of drivers.

Here come the Lölis

The Vienna-based agency Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann created the Löli family for Media Markt Switzerland.

The Löli family, the heroes of the new campaign, find a new Media Markt store right on their doorstep. That's lucky, because the family seems a bit retarded, to say the least, when it comes to the technical state of consumer electronics. In other respects, too, the four are more reminiscent of the Flodders from Holland than of an average Swiss family.

loelis-480

At the end of each episode with the idiosyncratic family, it's no longer "I'm not stupid after all", but of course "I'm not a lion after all".

The campaign kicks off with an Establisher film that presents the Löli family and all their Swiss quirks. This is followed by further episodes in which the Lölis get to know the online store or Media Markt's services. The campaign, conceived by Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann, was filmed by Rosas & Co in Switzerland, directed by Claas Ortmann. (hae/pd)
